Monthly report (CMR) is theparameter of the field levelperformance of the VasaviClubs. Every Club must uplodetheir CMR along with VCI for-mat 1001 to the VCI website.This must be done before theend of first week of the nextmonth. Otherwise you can alsosend the report directly to theVCI office in other means. Thismakes the VCI higher leader-ship to undertand the activi-ties takenup by the clubs. Informat 1001 there is a facil-ity to submit the details of 12programms in precise form.You may write about them indetail separately and may sentto the VCI office.� Make sure that the club ac-

tivities must be covered inthe news papers. The de-tail report shall be preparedalong with the clippings ofthose paper cuttings.

Namastee Fellow Vasavians!

We successfully crossed another month gap caused by

Carona. By following the lockdown rules, with the help of thetechnology we have successfully finished various programmes.At the same time we also launched various new activities.

I once again congratulate those Vasavians who organisedthe Vasavi Matha Jayanthi by confining to their houses. On thesame day 'Amma Nannaku Vandanam' programme was also heldsuccessfully. Like wise, Mother's day on 10th of May andarranging 'Chalivendralu' to the birds on 11th, May alsocompleted enthusiastically in all the districts. Various trainingprogrammes at International and National level also organisedin enthusiastic manner in this month. Hundreds of Vasavinasparticipated in the trainining progra-mmes conducted throughzoom app. As a trainer I felt very happy for the intellect shownby the vasavians who participated in these training programmes.

District Cabinet meetings, Advisory board, IEC meetings were also held in May.Fruitfull discussions were made on district and international level issues and took variousdecision regarding to them. By utilizing this gap, highest percent of CMRs and formats1006, 1010 were sent by the Vasavians. So this 2020 remained as highest number of CMRsand formats received. So I express my thanks to the Vasavians those who put theireffors for this achievement.

Carona Virus lock down caused heavy damage to the small business. To save theVasavians those have small business, became victims of this situation, we held discussionswith our elders and fellow vasavians and brought a new scheme name 'Vasavi Cheyutha'.Rs.1 crore fund will be mobalised to this scheme. This scheme is ment for the field levelVasavi Clubs to help fellow Aryavysyas those who have small business in their respectiveareas. We are thinking to launch this scheme in the June month. Under this 'VasaviCheyutha' scheme atleast thousand Aryavysyas will get the financial assistance. Therules and regulations for this scheme will be send to respective club presidents directly.We will give helping hand to the Aryavysyas who have small business.

Due to Carona virus Central and

State Governments have made

the people to confined to their

homes. But this lock down ben-

efited the Vasavians. Vasavi Club

International gives top priority to

the institutional issues. Now VCI

effectively utilized this lockdown

period. It created record in collecting

the monthly reports from the field

level clubs and in submitting the

formats with details of club president,

secretary and tresurer, memembers. It

recorded more progress in achieving

this success.

Field level clubs and members are two eyes of the VCI.

Every year leadership is changed in the filed level clubs.

Likewise changes will be taken place in the club members.

Every year the fee payed by the clubs and individual mem-

bers, bank account transfer in the name of the new lead-

ership ...all these are most important for the smooth func-

tioning of the organisation. At the same time the yearly

payments of the officials at district level (D.O. Contribu-

tions), IEC officials annual fee remittences must be re-

corded in the VCI records. Under the leadership of Inter-

national President Vn. Tiriveedhi Venugopal, zoom meet-

ings with District Governers held freequently. Interna-

tional tresurer Vasavian R. Ravichandran made followup

on this and achieved good results.

CMR 1006, 1010 formats

Vasavi Club International is the biggest

organisation that runs by strictly following the

rules and regulations. Each and every club mem-

ber must submit their details as well as the ac-

tivities taken up, and update them time to time

to the VCI office. Based on these details differ-

ent policy decisions will be taken up. For this

purpose different formats were available. In gen-

eral club members are busy with their activities. So some

delay is taken place in sending these reports. Good Stand-

ing Status to the club is decided, basing on various factors

like paying the fee in different formats in mean time. From

the begining International President wanted more number

clubs shall be in Good Standing Status. So he effeciently

utilized this lockdown period for this purpose. During zoom

meetings, International secretary Vn. Pata Sudarshan con-

centrated this issue.

collect these formats since two months gave fruitful re-

Covid-19 has shaken the life of the people. Dueto the fear of death everybody confined to theirhouses. But how many days like this? The time isnearer to come back to normal life. Till the vaccineor medicine comes, our behaviour is only our weaponto fight against Carona. Maintaining the physical dis-tance, freequently cleaning our hands, wearing themask while going outside... all these activities makesus to protect ourselves from the virus.

Vasavi Club International may be only NGO thatcontinuing its service activities, by following thelockdown rules strictly. In the past two months nomain programme was stopped due to lock down. Allthe activities have been continuing without anyinterruption with the help of the Internet, zoomvedio meetings and through messages. For this suc-cess, we have to congratulate our InternationalPresident Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopal who has gotthis spirit. Vasavi Jayanthi, Matru-Pitru vandanam,Mother's day, chalivendras for birds & animals, Cabi-net meetings, Advisory board, IEC meetings wereheld without any obstacles in the month of May.These meetings facilitated all the activities to con-tinue without any disruption. I once againcongratualte our Vasavians for overcoming the ob-stacles with the help of technology.

Satisfaction is more important than success inthe life. Because our success is valuated by oth-ers. But satisfaction is assed by our soul and heart.

I assume that we have made such satisfactionour own during lockdown period. I prey our VasaviMatha to give us such ability to make our own thesuccess and satisfaction in future...

Zoom meetings on June

& July programmes

In the month of May Vasavi Clubs

International Advisory meetings and

IEC meetings were held. Inorder to

give helping hand to the Vasavians those possess

small business and facing losses due to lockdown

, VCI Advisory Board meeting held under the lead-

ership of immediate past International President

Dr. Vemula Hazarattaiah Gupta. This was held

through zoom app. International President,

Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopal participated as Chief

Guest. Other past International Presidents were

also present in the meeting. In this meeting par-

ticipants discussed about he providences for the

new scheme 'Vasavi Cheyutha'. Primerly it was de-

cided to launch this scheme in the month of June.

Separate meetings with IEC

members

International President Vasavian Tiriveedhi

Venugopal conducted International Executive

meeting with individual IEC officials separately in

the third week of May. He held meetings with

International Executive Vice-presidents, Interna-

tional senior Vice-presidents, International Vice-

president (multiple), Intl. Joint Secretaries, Intl.

Additional Treasurers, Directors. If total IEC offi-

cials meeting organised in single day there will

be no chance to number of officials to express

their views. This was the reason behind the con-

ducting of meeting separately.

� In this meeting he explained about the scheme

'Vasavi Cheyutha' indetail and discussed about

the problems-solutions in implementing the

scheme. They also discussed on the sugges-

tions made in this regard.

� International President also asked the IEC

officials to give their suggestions on Dawn to

Dusk and Recon like future programmes.

Conducting the meeting separately like this made

the IEC officials to felt satisfaction.

Lockdown thatcontinued for two

months, it is the smalltraders who were

mainly hit.And Aryavysyas arethe ones most hit.

� Step 3: The Rs50,000 donations collected in thisway will be allocated at the rate of Rs 5 thousandper club for 1000 clubs which will be chosenaccording to certain criteria.

� Step 4: The club that has received Rs 5000 under‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ scheme, will collect Rs 5000 attheir club level and donate a total of Rs 10,000financial aid to the small Aryavysya trader selectingone who has been hit by the lockdown.

� Step 5: Finally, the club PSTs and the district IECofficer together go and comfort the chosen smallAryavysya trader and present him with a chequefor Rs 10,000.

Rs.ONE CRORE

MOBALISATION PLAN

� Step 1: Collecting donations from Vasavian cadres.This has already started. From international officersto district officers and ordinary Vasavians, therehas been a good response. The flow of donations ison. The aim of these donations is to collect Rs 50,000.

� Step 2: If the collections fall short of Rs 50,000, VCIwill fill the gap. But looking at the flow of contributionsnow, with donors coming forward generously,collecting Rs 50,000 might be achieved pretty soon.

Vasavi Clubs International, which

always supports poor Aryavysyas andsmall businessmen, is once againextending its friendly hand to them.VCI has come forward with a welfarescheme ‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ to the aidof those who were rundown by Corona-lockdown. The International PresidentVasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopal said thatunder this scheme, small businessmanand poor Aryavysyas who are sufferingfinancially will receive a financial aid of Rs 10,000 thatneed not be returned. Because of the lockdownthat continued for two months, it is the smalltraders who were mainly hit. And Aryavysyasare the ones most hit. VCI has understoodthat in the scenario of the lockdown beingrelaxed, if they have to stabilize in theirbusinesses once again, they would needfinancial aid. VCI which felt thatAryavysyas who follow the ancestralprofession for livelihood cannot reviveotherwise designed a welfare scheme called‘Vasavi Cheyutha’. Every year, with theinterest earned on KCGF deposits notebooks aresupplied to clubs under Saraswathi scheme. In 2020, whilecontinuing this scheme, has taken up ‘Vasavi Cheyutha’scheme. Hence is appealing for contributions from donors.

The saviour of small traders

Since the beginning, Vasavi ClubsInternational has always beensupporting small traders who areAryavysyas. VCI self-employmentscheme is a great scheme throughwhich Rs 25 thousand interest-freeloan is given to small traders. Underthis scheme, VCI has been providingRs 25,000 interest-free loans tohundreds. As soon as they return the

amount in 10 EMIs, a few others are provided the facilityof the loan. However, under the ‘Sreyobhilashi’ scheme

brought in 2019, with about 500 donors donatingRs 20,000 each, VCI is making arrangements toprovide interest-free loans of Rs 20,000 eachunder this scheme. The International Presidentexplained that through these two schemes,there is a chance to give interest-free loansto about 1100 members. These are returnableloans. On the other hand, now through Vasavi

Cheyutha, 1000 members will be given financialaid of Rs 10,000 each, which need not be

returned. On the whole, in the upcoming month ortwo, almost 2000 small traders will benefit through VCI.

Vasavian Thiriveedhi Venugopal commented that providingat least the minimum financial relief in times of difficulty isthe aim of VCI.

New Scheme with Rs. One Crore


The International President ofVasavi Clubs InternationalVasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopalreleased the guidelines of‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ scheme onMay 26th. He posted a videoand appeal to this effect onWhatsApp groups.

Collection of funds-contributions of Rs one crore

Funds of one crore rupees will be distributed throughVasavi Cheyutha scheme to support poor Aryavysyas andAryavysyas who are small businessmen. For this, VCI hastaken the responsibility to collect Rs 50,000 from kindand humane Vasavians. In case the aimed Rs 50,000 fallsshort by a little, VCI will adjust that amount. For this itwill choose 1000 clubs and send Rs 5,000 each. And at clublevel each club should collect Rs 5000. Small businessmenwho businesses have suffered badly must be identifiedand the total of Rs 10000 donation should be given through‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ scheme. ( At the club level, the clubhas the freedom to choose two small businessmen in theplace of one and provide assistance to both. The decisioncan be taken according to the need.) On the whole Rs10,000 will be received by a small Aryavysya businessmanat club level under ‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ scheme. In this Rsone crore will be distributes, said the InternationalPresident. ‘Among Aryavysyas who always think aboutthe society, the financially weak are now in difficulties.By supporting them, we will be supporting not just afamily, but we will be supporting the whole society,’ saidthe International President Vasavian TiriveedhiVenugopal. For this he requested the Vasavian cadres tocontribute generously. The donations can be given in sixways:

1. Vasavi Daatha:� A Vasavian Who contributes Rs

5000 will be recognized as‘Vasavi Daatha’ and a uniquelapel pin will be presented. Theparticular Vasavian’s name willbe published in VCI OfficialMagazine Vasavi News, inEnglish, Telugu and Tamillanguages.

2. Vasavi Pradaatha:� A Vasavian who donates Rs

10,000 will be honoured as‘Vasavi Pradaatha’. Along withbeing presented with a uniquelapel pin, the particular Vasav-ian’s passport size photo will be published in VasaviNews in three languages.

3. Vasavi Vidhatha:� Vasavians who contribute Rs 25,000 and more to this

scheme, will be honoured not justwith the unique lapel pin as‘Vasavi Vidhatha’, but theparticular Vasavian’s familyphoto will be published along withthe Vasavian’s name in VasaviNews in three languages.

4. Vasavi Maha Daatha:

� A Vasavian who contributes Rs50,000 will be recognized as‘Vasavi Mahadaatha’ and alongwith being presented a uniquelapel pin, the donor’s photo anddetails will be published in VasaviNews in three languages.

5. Vasavi Maha Pradaatha:

� A Vasavian donating Rs one lakhwill be considered ‘VasaviMahapradaatha.’ A unique lapelpin would be presented. Thedonor’s photo and details aboutthe Vasavian will be published inVasavi News in three languages.

6. Vasavi Mahavidhatha:

� The donor who gives Rs 2,50,000or more will be honoured as‘Vasavi Maha Vidhatha’. A uniquelapel pin would be presented. Thedonor’s photo and details aboutthe Vasavian will be published inVasavi News in three languages.

� The donors who contribute Rsone lakh and more will be allotted special seats in thefirst row in ICON and recognized.

Along with these six kinds of donations, combining thelocal Vasavi club contributions, a total of Rs one crorewill be collected and poor Vysyas in small businesses willbe aided. It is suggested that humane Vasavians shouldpay these contributions to the district governor andobtain a receipt.

Good response

As soon as the International President spoke about ‘VasaviCheyutha’ scheme in various district cabinet meetingsin the month of May, Vasavi Clubs and Vasavians respondedpositively. It is notable that immediately there was aflood of announcements on donations. With their beinggood response from Vasavians, VCI TOP leadership gotready to help poor Aryavysyas, badly hit because of lockdown,through 1000 clubs specially recognized by certain criteria.The International President, suggesting sending theircontributions for ‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ as early as possible,as the time was less, said ‘What could give greatersatisfaction than being of help to a fellow Aryavysya?’


Financial support for

Corona disaster

Vasavi Cheyutha is the scheme whichoffers hearty cooperation to begiven financially to the Aryavysyabusinessmen who don’t have financialcompetence and waste their lives,suffering financial difficulties owingto Corona, not having business and unable to makeends meet. I pray with joined hands that those who arefinancially well off should make their hearts wide andstand as personifications of generosity.

We are receiving good response from thedistricts and officers. The resolution is to provide aidup to one crore rupees. My opinion is that ‘VasaviCheyutha’ has to be permanent. Should go into the hands of

small businessmen

A good scheme that comes to aid indifficult times. But the success of‘Vasavi Cheyutha’ scheme depends onthe way it is implemented. The peoplewho run a small pan shop at a streetcorner, the ones selling idli-dosa, punugulu, bajjilu frompush-carts, the ones who sell biscuits and chocolates tothe children outside schools, such minor businessmen arein great financial difficulties now. The scheme will becomemeaningful only when at club level, such people areidentified in their village or city and they are offeredsupport through ‘Vasavi Cheyutha’. However, if themoney goes into the hands of the retail kirana who rantheir businesses comfortably during the lockdown period,the scheme will not serve the purpose. If this care istaken at every level, this one crore rupees scheme willlight a lamp in the dark houses of poor small traders.

I saw a Facebook post recently. It is about a poor vysyain a village who is picking waste paperfrom the streets and selling them andleading a horrible life. I called someone inthe village and asked if it was true andcame to know that it was absolutelytrue. In this way many Aryavysyas,though born in a forward caste, are inabject poverty. This lockdown has hitthem even badly. At such a time, ourInternational President is making a good effort.Yesterday, we unanimously accepted it in our AdvisoryBoard meeting. Venugopal announced 'Vasavi Cheyuta' scheme. Really it is

a very good thing", said International Executive Vice-Presi-

In the month of may various Vasavi Districts Cabi

net meetings were held. Owing to lockdown all

the Vasavinas are being confined to their homes. So

these meetings were held with the help of zoom technol-

ogy, in vertual-online system. In almost all district meet-

ings International President Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopal

participated as Chief Guest. International Secretary

Vasavian Pata Sudarshan, International Tressurer Vasavian

R. Ravichandran were also participated as distinguished

guests. Respective District Governors were presided over

the meetings. Past District Governors, IEC officers, Dis-

trict officers, Club PSTs were also participated with great

zeal. Institutional issues, happenings in the districts, the

programmes of previous three -four monts, future

programms were reviewed in these meetings.

Institutional issues

All the districts were submitted their reports on CMR

(Club Monthly Report), formats of 1006, 1006A, Anual Ac-

tivity fund, Club dues, DO contributions. A detail discus-

sions were held on these reports. International President

appreciated the disctricts in the areas where they have

shown good performance and gave suggestions to improve

their ability in some other areas where they shown less

performance. International Secretary concentrated on

CMR and VCI formats, where as International Tressurer

keen on Anual Activity Fund, DO contributions like

organisation incomes.

Review on latest programmes

Most of the Governors explaind about Sri Vasavi Gayatri

Mantra, Goddess Anniversary programmes, organised by

them during the months of April and May. They also de-

scribed how the Vasavians belongs to their districts en-

thusiastically participated in Mr. Perfect Challenge, Amma-

nannalaku vandanams programmes. For this, International

President, Secretary, Tressurer appreciated the Gover-

nors and Cabinet members. On this occasiong Interna-

tional President Tiriveedhi Venugopal make them to re-

member how the 'Vrata Katha' sent in PDF format by V208A

Governor Vasavian Poosa Narayanarao helped the

Vasavians to read it with reverence during the 'Vasavi

Mata Jayanti' held on 2nd, May. 'This PDF foramat was

shared to all', said International President. He appreci-

ated the Governor P. Narayanarao.

Discussions on Future Programmes

Discussions were also held in the Cabinet meetings on

the programmes to be taken up during post lockdown pe-

riod. While speaking on this occasion International Presi-

dent said, "we are bringing a new scheme 'Vasavi Cheyutha'

to help the small Aryavayasya business men upto Rs.10,000

to cover their losses faced during lockdown". This scheme

will be implemeted at district level, so it is necessary to

identify such Aryavayasyas, he said. District Governors

expressed their happyness regarding to this scheme. In-

ternational President suggested to concentrate and en-

courage the inactive clubs during post lockdown period.

He inquired about the inactive clubs in every district. Past

District Governors, District officials, IEC officers gave

assurance to revive the clubs those are not active. 'If you

restore them organisation will be more strengthened,' In-

ternational President said.

Since the April month ending, entire month of May Dis-

trict Cabinet meetings were held. Every meeting contin-

ued for two to three hours. Governors felt happy for dis-

cussing various issues in this stipulated time. Especially

International President, Secretary, Tresurer participated

in this meeting and gave suggestions made all the district

officials to feel satisfaction

Making the district to move forward

We are going to establish 30'Ammaku Vandanam Centres' inthe coming months of June andJuly. We informed the meetingthat arrangements for thispurpose are in progress. Inorderto give helping hand to theAryavayasyas those who facedlosses during lockdown, eachclub in our district gaveassurance to contributeRs.5000. Total 60 clubs are functioning in our district.At present 400 VKSP members are this scheme. We willincrease this number to 800. For this purpose we willmotivate the vasavians. All this information is given tothe top leadership of VCI in the cabinet meeting. Tillnow 75% of our district DO contribution completed. Wewill credit the remaining 25% contribution to VCIbefore first week of June. International Executive VicePresident Sidda Suryaprakasarao who participated inthe Cabinet meeting asked the VCI International bodyto give a chance to V205A district to organise "Midcon"this year. IEC officers, District officers, RCs, ZCs total80 members were participated in this meeting. Thismeeting held for three hours and each and every issuewas discussed. This gave us full satisfaction.

A promise for 500 cabins

During the lockdown time, on April 23rd, on the occasionof the marriage anniversary of our International Presidentand his wife, and the birthdays of Past InternationalPresidents Ayodhya Ramulu and Yada Nageswara Rao,various Vasavi districts announced that they would set up500 cabins in their regions. Two days prior to that, afterdiscussion in the Advisory Board meeting , it was decidedthat a grant of Rs 3000 would be given to the first 300Ammaku Gouravam cabins to be announced on April 23rd.With this, the district governors who had been interestedin this programme from the beginning, discussed with theclubs in their region and announced commitments in acompetitive spirit. As a result, various districts announced500 Ammaku Gouravam cabins as marriage anniversary giftfor the International President and his wife.

Clarity in cabinet meetings

Later, in the cabinet meetings which started afterthe end of April, there was a reference to AmmakuGouravam cabins. Various district governors informedthe International President Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopalthat they were ready for the establishment of thesecentres as soon as there is relaxation in lockdownregulations. Several governors said that they would tryto establish the announced cabins within two monthsafter the lifting of the lockdown. The governors who hadclarity on where to establish Ammaku Gouravam Cabinsexplained that they were working in that direction.

Along with the announcement of a grant of Rs.3000for each of first 300 Ammaku Gouravam cabins announcedon April 23rd, the Past International President VasavianYada Nageswara Rao announced that he would personallygive a special present to the first three districts esta-blishing the maximum number. With this, a curiosity about

which of the thirty districts are the three districts toachieve the first three positions arose in Vasavians.Finally…

district governors, the International President VasavianTiriveedhi Venugopal expressed his desire that theannounced cabins be constructed at the earliest andthat they should stand first in that too.

V204 governor Vasavian KollapudiKalyani said that it was a matter ofpride that they stood first among 30districts in the assurance for ‘AmmakuGouravam’ cabins. She said that theywere making preparations to set up the43 cabins they had assured as soon asthe lockdown ends. She said that theywere planning to set up AmmakuGouravam cabins not just in Bus standsand railway stations, but also in government hospitals andMRO office. In temples and in big marriage halls whereweddings of middle class people are conducted too, theywanted to set up cabins, said Vasavian Kalyani. She saidthey could be used in two ways, as dressing rooms and alsoto breastfeed infants. She said that according to theirestimate, each cabin would need an expense of Rs.12thousand to Rs 15 thousand and that the people of the clubswere ready for it. Clubs in rural areas were also enthusiasticabout Ammaku Gouravam cabins being set up in their areas,but the problem was to find suitable place, she said. She saidthat some rural clubs had said that they were ready to build

The prestigious service programme of VCI 2020, the programme ofAmmaku Gouravam cabins for mothers to breastfeedinfants, is set to get on track quickly and on a grandscale after the lockdown. After the first cabin wasset up in the bus complex in Chilakaluripet in Gunturdistrict in Andhra Pradesh, there arose curiosity

about the programme in Vasavian cadres. With theInternational President Vasavian TiriveedhiVenugopal stressing about its importance onseveral platforms, discussions have started inthe districts on the establishment ofAmmaku Gouravam cabins. Though it wasthought that there might be a break in the programmewith the standstill of the lockdown, it is notable thatin that very time it has picked up swing.

Five-six cabins in Durgamma Temple

The governor of V203A district which stoodsecond by promising 40 Ammaku Gouravamcabins, Vasavian Kotha Muktheswara Rao, ispresently engaged in pursuing permits toestablish them. He said that they weretrying to obtain permits from TransportMinister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Perni Nanifor setting up cabins in bus complexes andwere making efforts to set up the cabins.In the same way, there is a rush of devoteesin the second floor of VijayawadaDurgamma Temple. The floor needs at leastfive to six cabins. I have acquaintance withthe Durga Temple EO. We will speak to the Endowments MinisterSri Vellampalli Srinivas and set up Ammaku Gouravam cabins inDurgamma temple. Governor of V105A, Vasavian PulluriPrakash said that they were making ef-forts to set up Ammaku Gouravam Cabinsin Hyderabad Metro Stations. VasavianPulluri Prakash said that he thought VasaviClubs would earn good reputation if theyset up cabins in metro stations wherelakhs of passengers move about every day.As soon as the lockdown ends, withinthree months, we will complete setting upthe 40 Ammaku Gouravam cabins we promised, said the gov-ernor. He said that they had worked out the estimates ofconstruction costs of the cabins and said that each cabinwould involve an expenditure of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. Healso said that they were of the opinion of setting up cabinsof good quality which would last long, irrespective of theexpenditure involved. The governor explained thatSaroornagar Tricity Club members are ready for the con-struction of four to five cabins in their area, and similarlyevery club has come forward with suitable plan. Mother Goddess’ Jayanthi reverence to parentsThe lockdown put a brake onthe desire of Vasavi clubs andVasavians to celebrate theMother Goddess’birth anniver-sary on May 2nd, in Penugondathis year. AT least, like everyyear, if they wanted to go to anearby temple and perform Pujawith Kumkum and take a proc-ession, the conditions did notpermit even that. In such ascenario, the International President showed a goodsolution. He suggested a way that suited lockdown. ‘Untilnow since we have been outside home on Mother Goddess’birth anniversary, this year all should perform puja andother activities along with their families, recite the storyof the Mother Goddess and take the offering food anddrink. He suggested that, later on, they should offertheir reverences to their parents. The Vasavians whowatched the video message got a solution for theirproblem. On May 2nd, the International President and his

wife personally plucked the flowers in the yard of theirhouse, decorated the Mother Goddess with them, andperformed puja and other activities with devotion anddedication. Later, their daughters Lakshmi Mounika andSuvarna Satvika seated their parents and washed theirfeet. They took their blessings. AT the same time, in thehouses of thousands of Vasavians, the same scene was tobe seen. Vasavians performed the puja along with theirfamily members and offered obeisance to their parents.By posting their videos in WhatsApp groups their familymembers became familiar to their colleagues. This createda precious feeling in Vasavians.

Mothers’ day: Joy to mother

Usually on Mothers’ day,Vasavi clubs conductfelicitation for mothers oroffer obeisance to moth-ers.Contrary to that, this yearthe International Presi-dentsuggested pro-grammes thatgive greater joy to mother.Giving birth to us and afterwe become a few months old,mother feeds us with love. OnMothers’ day, make somedish and feed her with your hands; this was the suggestiongiven by the International President. On May 10th, thesecond Sunday, Vasavians got ready to do this. They madea dish that they could make well and was a dish liked bytheir mothers, and personally fed it to their mothers. Theyfelt ecstatic when their mothers blessed them. They postedthose photos and videos on their groups. Several Vasaviansresponded that it gave them great satisfaction to cookwith their hands and feed their mothers.


Drinking water kiosks for animals & birds

Under normal conditions, thedrinking water kiosks andsummer relief camps that Vasaviclubs used to set up in the monthof May used to offer extensiveservices. In fact, though drink-ing water kiosks were started inthe month of March itself, theservices stopped from March 25th

owing to the lockdown. Butkeeping in view the severity of summer now, and takinginto account the lockdown restrictions, the InternationalPresident gave a call to arrange water for animals andbirds on May 11th. In front of their house or on their terrace,wherever there is a chance, he suggested arrangingdrinking water for the dumb creatures. May 11th is themarriage anniversary of the International SecretaryVasavian Patha Sudarsan and his wife. Vasavian cadresresponded impressively to the call given by theInternational President on the occasion. They arrangeddrinking water kiosks for the dumb creatures. While Vasaviclubs from all districts participated, V203A stood first inarranging the maximum number of drinking water kiosks.The clubs in rural areas arranged water troughs suitablefor cows and buffalos. The final shape to the one crore scheme

The International President tried togive a final shape in the month of May,to the one crore programme aimed atsupport-ing the Aryavysyas who runsmall businesses and who have beenhit badly because of the lockdown.Aryavysyas are always in the forefrontto support in times of difficulty. Since the time to liftthe lockdown completely is approaching, in order to beready with this scheme to support small businessmenand poor Aryavysyas, the International Presidentdiscussed on this proposition two times in the VCIAdvisory board meeting. He took the suggestions andrecommendations from the former InternationalPresidents and gave a final shape to this scheme. Heallotted maximum time in the month of May to design theexecution of this scheme which will be implemented atclub level. The International President is resolute thatthis scheme should be implemented in June when thelockdown will be completed and businesses would start.

Treasurer. In every cabinet meeting, they reviewed the

programmes of the past four months. They reviewed

especially CMRs, progress in submitting VCI formats 1006

and VKSP arrears and payments. District-wise, they gave

instructions in the meetings to speed these up. They

reviewed Corona assistance programmes, precautions to

be taken, district-wise trainings, and other service

A penance of a month

With most Vasavians inevitably being confined to homesowing to the lockdown, they can get mental peace bychanting Vasavi Gayathri Manthram and also pray forworld peace. Responding to the call given by theInternational President Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopalwith this objective, this programme started around thetime of Sri Rama Navami. It was closed on May2nd withthe Mother Goddess’ birth anniversary. It means, forabout 30 days, the chanting of Vasavi Gayathri manthramcontinued like a holy offering. By chanting for more than20 crores times in the short period of a month, Vasavianshave demonstrated their devotion towards the MotherGoddess once again. They did not move their mind fromfocus despite many obstacles that came in their way.Their concentration did not get disturbed.

More than 2 crores on April 23rd..

In the middle of the period of these 30 days, with thehappening of the 25 th marriage anniversary of theInternational President Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopal andhis wife on the 23rd April, Vasavians continued chantingthe manthram with more enthusiasm. On that one day,they chanted for 2 crores 17 lakhs times which stood asa record. Several district governors said that on thatday they chanted more specially in order to obtain theMother Goddess’ blessings on the occasion of theInternational President’s marriage anniversary. On thewhole, it is a great event in Vasavi movement that thechanting of Sri Vasavi Gayathri manthram crossed 20crores uninterruptedly. It is a proof to the dedicationand devotion of Vasavians.

Felicitation to the top 10 districts

Out of the Vasavi districts which participated in thechanting of Sri Vasavi Gayathri manthram, the governorsof the top 10 districts which have chanted the most, willbe felicitated with a special memento in a programmethat will take place after the lockdown. Similarly everyclub that has chanted more than 5 thousand times, willreceive a certificate. On this occasion, Vasavi News spoketo the governors of the districts who stood in the topthree positions.

During Corona lockdown time, thousandsof Vasavians became sanctified with thechanting of the Mother Goddess’ name anduttering Vasavi Gayathri manthram. Alongwith obtaining mental peace duringdisturbing times, they became deserving tothe Mother Goddess’ kind gaze by chanting20crores times in just one month. In thissequence, by chanting 2 crores and 17lakhs times in one day, they obtainedTelugu Book of Records prize.

The main reason their district got thisrecognition is because of the efforts of Vasavi Club MagadiRoad Vasavians. The members of the club invited a fewmore Aryavysyas and formed a huge group of devoteesincluding friends and relatives. All of them together usedto chant Vasavi Gayathri manthram for 10 hours everyday. We started chanting Vasavi Gayathri Manthram onApril 2nd, Sri Rama Navami day. Until May 2nd, for 30 days,we Magadi Road club members continued chanting withouthindrance or stopping. Every day, as soon as we completed,we used to note down how many times we had chanted.When we crossed 2 crores and 64 lakhs when we countedon the Mother Goddess’ birth anniversary on May 2nd, ourjoy was immeasurable.

Similarly, hehad made announcement that the clubs which chant morethan 5 thousand times would receive a certificate atdistrict level. Keeping aside these prizes, ten to twelveclubs participated in this programme with firm dedication.On May 2nd, the Mother Goddess’ birth anniversary, thewhole day long they kept chanting the Mother Goddess’name and Sri Vasavi Gayathri manthram. Journey to Penugonda with 40 members

The governor of V104AVasavian Diamond Star KCGFRudrangi Ravisasi said he washappy that with one crore 90lakhs, their district stood firstin one level-two level (Telangana-Andhra) and over all third place. Infact, before April 14th, theirdistrict was not active in chantingthe manthram and at that time,Past International PresidentVasavian Ayitha Ramulu took theinitiative and spoke to thedistrict officers and IEC officersand gave them guidelines. And,from then, the programme pickedup swing in the district. The governor explained that byMay 2nd it reached one crore 90 lakhs. V201A came forward with organising 'Cheere kattu prize

kottu' in April month, now organized a new competition

which depicts our Telugu tradition. It named the competi-

tion as 'Vanki-Valujada'. On the occasion of the Vasavi

Mata Jayanti, V201A organised this competition among

the daughters of the Vasavians. The description of the

competion is 'wearing vanki vaddanam, decorating the

valu jada, standing before the goddess while chanting the

moola mantra, take a vedio and post it in the whatsup

group'. This was the competition.

'At first we in fear that there may not be proper

response to this oldest tradtion. But there was a lot of

response,' V201A Governor Vn. Madhusudan Veda said. Total

53 young women participated in this contest and sent

their posts. This response created enthusiasm among us.

With this we got some hope that the new generation also

2nd, May Vaisakha Suddha Dasimi

Thousands of Vasavians celebrated Vasavi MathaJayanti confining to their homes. Every year Vasaviansused to go to their nearst Vasavi Mata temple andoffering pooja and prayers to the goddess is the usualpractice. But for the first time due Carona virus allthe Vasavians along with their family members per-formed pooja and prayers in their homes.

Before, International President suggested thatall the Vasavians shall celebrate the Vasavi MathaJayanthi celebrations int their homes along with theirfamily members. Vasavians strictly followed the di-rections of the International president and performedthe poojas and prayers in their homes with rever-ence. Two days before the occasion InternationalPresident share his message with vasavians in thewhatsapp. Suggesting to perform the Vasavi Jayanthifunction at homes, he sent the 'Vrata Katha' in PDFformat along with his message. All the vasavians afterperforming pooja of the goddess, read the 'Vratakatha' and shared the vedio of the pooja perfomedin the district whatsapp group.

All the Vasavians after finishing the pooja, per-formed the Mathru-Pithru Vandanam. Middle ageVasavians those who have their parents, performed'Paada pooja'. Due to lockdown if their parents arenot available, their childern performed 'Paada pooja'to them. Elder parents blessed their son and daugh-ter in law with 'Akshatas'. Those parents who re-ceived 'paada pooja' from their younger children,blessed them with love and affection. Some Vasaviansperformed 'Paada Pooja' to their father in law andmonther in law and received affectionate love fromthem. Vasavians shared their vedios in their respec-tive district Whatsapp group. Overall all the Vasaviansfelt happy, for performing the poojas in their homes.This performance filled the gap of not attending thetemples.

In order to control the

Carona virus, since 25th,

March lock down is continu-

ing. Ordinary and poor people

are facing severe troubles in this

period. Poor people struggled for

food, where as lower middle class and

middle class people suffered for essen-

tial items. In other side, police, Munici-

pal, Sanitary, Medical staff indulged in ser-

vice activities withou caring their lives.

From the begining of the lockdown Vasavi Clubs

actively participating in the service activi-

ties. Like that in the month of May also they

continued their services in as usual. Number of

Vasavinas are indulged in different business ac-

tivities. Even though their business activities were

hampered with the lock down, with the spirit of

'service to men is service to god' they have choosed

the path of service. Importantely service activities

held in two ways:

1. Helping hand to the poor people.

2. Protection equipment to those who indulged in

essential services.

Helping hand to the poor peopleMigrant workers faced serious problems during lockdown.

Most of them returned to their native places. Where everposible Vasavi Clubs provided them food and water. Largelytamrind rice packets, food packets, water packets wereserved to them. Vasavi Clubs went to the places where themigrant workers are in large number in their respective re-gions, and helped them with required service. Megrant work-ers walked through the highways to their native places. Thoseclubes which are nearer to those highways, provided themfood, tamarind and water packets. Vasavians also helped tothose poor people who are living in their sorroundings.Vasavians, made the vegetables, essentials and rice in pack-ets and gave them to the poor families. In some places VasaviClubs prepared food packets in large number. Then the Mu-nicipal staff took away them in the vehicles.

Equipment to the police & medical staffSome clubs donated the protection equipement to the po-

lice and paramedical staff those working without caring theirlives. Masks, glouses, sanitizers, disinfection chemicals werepurchased in large number and distributed to the police, medi-cal and sanitary staff.

World as well as our country are in

lock down due to Covid-19. Declaring

this as National Calamity our Prime Min-

ister announced lockdown in the coun-

try. During this period, daily labour, or-

phans on the road sides faced serious

problems. Then V207A, Region 6, Zone

2,3 Vasavi clubs of Kanigiri, with the help

of donors, provided food for 34 days

continuously. Everyday food was

porvided for 250 members in the noon

and 50 members in the night. For this 34

days every day Rs.7000 spent for this

purpose. Vasavians went to the places

of the poor people and distributed the

food. Vasavians went to B.C. colony,

Bokkala gondi, Urban colony (Red zone)

in Kanigiri and distributed daily essen-

tials like, rice, red gram, corondum, on-

ion, soaps for 250 families. Value of

these essential for each family was

Rs. 650. Identifying the poor

Aryavayasyas Rs.1000 worth of daily

essentials to them.

For ANMs, police and sanitary

staff cloth masks were distributed.

For police, teacheres who are work-

ing as volunteers, sanitary staff, apple

juice was distributed for ten days.

� Under the leadership of Vasavi Club Nuziveed Presid-

dent Vn. Tata Sai Prasad, from 25th, March to 17th,May (50 days), evening tiffin was provided to the Vil-lage Sachivalaya valunteers, police & RTC staff. Everyday total 100 members were given this tiffin. For thispurpo-se Rs.1,50,000 was spent. Club members andother donors bear this cost.

Since the Government announced thelockdown on 25th, March these Vasavians are providingservices in various stages assisting the poor people. Theyare giving their assistance to the staff who are indulging inthe essential services. Under the leadership of Interna-tional programme coordinater Vn. Gollapudi Buchiraju,V210A, Cabinet joint secretary Vn.Nagamalli Rajarao, Dis-trict Programme officer Chakka Suryanarayana murthy vari-ous programmes were organised.� On Kolkata National Highway No.5, near to Tuni

Ruralpolice station food and water packets were dis-tributed every day to lorry drivers, cleaners and othervehicle drivers. There is no any hotel nearby, so driv-ers and cleaners were suffering with hunger. ThenVasavi Club gave it assistance by providing food andwater to them.

� In Tuni town one Corona case identified. That areawascontained and 1700 medical staff and Asha workerswere conducted tests in that area for 10 days. All these

days Vasavi Club members provided food facility to 60members of the staff.

� Daily essentials were distributed to 800 poor people inthe town. This saved the poor people from hunger.

� Central government allowed the transport of the mi-grant workers. So again there is a requirement of es-sential services on the National High way. Andhra Pradeshgovernment transporting the migrant workers and leav-ing them at the Odisha boarder. Then the Vasavians arr-anged a tent on the National High way and providedfood for those migrant workers. They were served foodin plates. While migrant workers eating the food,Vasavians felt very satisfaction. Every plate contains,sam-bar rice, two water packets, one butter milk packetand one banana. Every day from 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm thissatiating programme is continuing. Every day atleast1000 members are eating the food.

This year, it has been beneficial to Vasavians that theInternational President Vasavian Tiriveedhi Venugopalhimself is a trainer. Another factor that helped them wasthe leisure they got owing to the lockdown. With theregulations that no one should move out of house torestrict the virus, since everyone has been at home, theInternational President has used this time effectively tobring about a considerable change in Vasavians. For thishe has taken the support of technology. He got ready fortrainings through Zoom app. Through Zoom trainings, heprovided opportunity to 16 senior Drona trainers andabout 100 VCI certified trainers. All of them came forwardwith various topics they are interested in. He used thetrainers’ services in two ways. 1. International level 2.District level.For the past two months, zoom trainingshave been taking place extensively at these two levels.

participate through Zoom while the rest were provided anopportunity to watch through Facebook link. With this,Vasavians, who were at home, and their children used thisopportunity beautifully. The trainings took place on topicssuch as education, personality development, career,business, business development, parenting, humanrelationships, health, happy life, familial relations, positivethinking, human values and spiritual guidance. Whilethousands watched these through Facebook link, later onthey uploaded these talks on Vasavi Clubs InternationalYouTube channel. Vasavians can watch these any time onhttps://www. youtube.com/user/vasaviclub. All thetrainers performed well. They learnt new subjects toentertain the viewers. “As a trainer, this makes me veryhappy,” said the International President VasavianTiriveedhi Venugopal.The Trainings Committee ChairmanAitha Ramulu constantly supervised the zoom talks. Hekept on convening from time to time. VasaviansGudimetlaSatyanarayana, Utukuri Kiran Kumar and MaddiJagan offered help and cooperation.

Flurry of talks in districts

With the suggestion to use VCI certified trainers in Vasavidistricts, they went on to the platform of various districtsthrough Zoom app. They made speeches on variousaspects. In every district, at least 40 to 100 membersused this opportunity. Some district governors got Dronatrainers to talk. With an interest in the subject, theyinvited whoever was speaking on a subject to theplatforms of their districts. ‘The trainers were givenopportunity according to their talent. A good speakergot opportunity from far off places. This is great yearfor trainers. We would have lost a lot in business becauseof the lockdown. But in times of difficulty, the joy we gotout of these talks gave us the strength to overcome it,’commented a Drona trainer who belonged to one level.Trainers got posters made when they had talks and postedthem enthusiastically on WhatsApp groups. On the whole,Zoom talks entertained Vasavians immensely during thelockdown period. They removed passivity and spread thelight of positivity on future.
