etc.., beaten to complainant and robbed away cash Rs. 5000/-

from him by showing some sharp weapon and broken his car, near

market, ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 31.12.2015. A Case FIR

No. 03 U/S 395 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Three

accused i.e. Akash, Dalip & Monu arrested in this case

3. 9.1.2016 A Case FIR No. 16 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered

in PS-31, Chandigarh against Harinder Kumar R/o # 324, Village-

Hallo Majra, Chandigarh from Kabari Market, Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh on 8.1.2016 and recovered one Kamanidar knife from

his possession. Further investigation is going on.

4. 13.02.2016 Chandigarh Police arrested Sant Parkash R/o # 1275, Deep

Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh from Kacha Rasta, Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh and recovered one Kmanidar knife from his possession.

A Case FIR No. 54 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-

31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

5. 18.02.2016 ACCUSED ARRESTED IN FIR No. 64, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh

Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj Sharma R/o SCO No. 105,

Sadshiv Enclave, Baltana, Zirakpur, Distt. Mohali, (PB) near Raman

Gas Agency, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 50 Gram of

Charas from his possession. A Case FIR No. 64, U/S 20 NDPS Act has

been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in

progress.

6. 3.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 74, u/s 392,34 IPC PS-31, UT, Chandigarh

Sh. Kishore R/o ITBP Camp, Behlana, Chandigarh alleged

that two unknown boys robbed complainant’s mobile phone near

3BRD gate, Chandigarh. Later on accused Hari Om R/o # 20, Phase-

1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case and a

Juvenile sent to Juvenile Home. A Case FIR No. 74 U/S 392,34 IPC has

been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in

progress.

7. 20.03.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 97, U/S 392 IPC has been

registered in PS- 31, Chandigarh

Sh. Satish R/o # 998/B, Village Jagatpura, Gurunanak Colony,

Mohali, Punjab reported that three unknown persons occupant of

Activa Scooter sped away after robbing cash RS. 100/- and mobile

phone from complainant near Gurudwara Sahib, T-point, Sector 47-

C, Chandigarh on 19.03.2016. A Case FIR No. 97, U/S 392 IPC has

been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later three juvenile

apprehended in this case and sent to juvenile home later.

8. 16.03.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 94 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Mehra @ Banti R/o # 916,

Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh near Gurdwara Sahib, Sector-47,

Chandigarh and recovered 50 Gram of Charas from his possession.

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh against Salender @ Vaishali R/o #

1275, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, who was arrested

near Sabji Mandi, Ram darbar , Chandigarh on 16.04.2016 and

recovered Kamanidar Knife from his possession. The investigation of

Chandigarh

A Case FIR No.125, U/S 25, 54, 59 Arms Act has been

Ram Darbar, Phase-2, Chandigarh, who was arrested near Kacha

Rasta, Kabari Market, Hallomajra, Chandigarh on 16.04.2016 and

A Case FIR No.168 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-

31, Chandigarh against Kamal Thapa R/o # 1019, Phase-1,

Ramdarbar, Chandigarh who has been arrested near Gurdwara

Sahib, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh and recovered a

Kamanidar Knife from his possession.

15. 11.06.2016 Apprehension of accused in case FIR No. 179 dated 11.6.16 U/S 376,

506 IPC , 6 & 10 POCSO Act registered in PS-31, Chd

On 11.6.16, a case FIR No. 179 dated 11.6.16 U/S 376, 506 IPC , 6 &

10 POCSO Act IPC has been registered on the complaint of victim

R/o Vill Mutihari, Bihar age 11 yrs present address # 248, Vill

Behlana, Chandigarh. She stated that her parents expired during

her childhood and she was residing with her aunt (Bua) namely

Reshma Devi in a village near Patna (Bihar). She does not know

anything about it. The behavior of her aunt was not good and due

to that she ran away from there and came at Chandigarh by train.

One lady namely Bimla met her at Chandigarh Railway Station and

took her at her house at # 248, Vill Behlana. At that time lady

namely Bimla was in her family way and she started living with her at

her home. Complainant used to call Bimla as sister and brother in

law to her husband namely Blister. She further stated that at night

time when Bimla go asleep, her husband Blister Singh use to come

on complainant’s bed and started touching her private parts.

Thereafter, he started making physical relations with her and raped

her continuously. He also threatened her if she will disclose about

this to any one, he will kill her. She tried to take help from the

persons passing through the house and on 11.06.2016 someone

informed at Child line 1098. On receiving the information, police

party reached on the spot. An investigation team was constituted

under the supervision of SDPO/South to search the accused which

led to successful arrest of accused Blister Singh S/o Puttu Singh R/o #

248, Vill Behlana Chandigarh.

16. 17.07.2016 Drug peddler arrested

Chandigarh Police arrested Harinder Kumar R/o # 324, Village Hallo

Majra, Chandigarh near Kabari Market, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh

and recovered 250 Gram of ganja from his possession. A Case FIR

No. 202, U/S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

Further investigation is going on.

17. 17.07.2016 Drug peddler arrested

Chandigarh Police arrested Harinder Kumar R/o # 324, Village Hallo

Majra, Chandigarh near Kabari Market, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh

and recovered 250 Gram of ganja from his possession. A Case FIR

No. 202, U/S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

Further investigation is going on.

18. 18.07.2016 Accussed apprehended in Case FIR No. 204, U/S 392, 34 IPC

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh

Sh. Raju R/o # 145/B, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that Dhan

Singh R/o # 2232/A, Sector-29, Chandigarh and Ranjit Singh R/o #

209, near Vinay public School, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, snatched

his mobile phone and Rs. 200/- cash from complainant on

17.07.2016 from bridge Ind. Area, Ph-2, Chandigarh. Accused has

been arrested in this case. A Case FIR No. 204, U/S 392, 34 IPC has

been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

19. 24.07.2016 Accused apprehended in case FIR No. 211, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

A Case FIR No. 211, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-

31, Chandigarh against Surjit Singh R/o # 1124, Village Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh, age 35 years, who has been arrested from Light Point,

Hallo Majra, Chandigarh and recovered Kamanidar Knife from his

possession.

20. 11.8.2016 On 10.08.2016, at about 09:01 PM, information of suicide in Village

Faidan was received in Police station. On this information, SHO/PS-

31, along with his team reached the spot. A girl R/o Vill. Jagatpura,

Mohali, Punjab met there and recorded her statement that her

younger sister age 19 years got married with Mr. Adarsh S/O Sh.

Dhirender R/O # 428, Vill. Faidan, Chandigarh about 06 month

back. It was a love marriage. After the marriage, she was residing at

Vill Faidan in a room with her husband Mr. Adarsh. From the last 3-4

days she was visiting continually to them in Village Jagatpura. Her

sister told her that from the last few days Adarsh is quarrelling with

her. He remains all the day out from the house, abused her and says

that if she will doubt on him, he will kill her. Her Sister further asked

her to keep visit at her room and to take her care. Today i.e. on

10.08.2016, at about 08:30 Pm she went to her room in village

Faidan along with her younger brother Vinay to see her sister and

when they reached there she found that her brother-in law Adarsh

coming out from the room. He told her that her sister has hanged

herself and he was going to them. She stated that her sister cannot

hanged herself and Adarsh has killed her. On statement of girl, a

case FIR No. 222 dated 11.08.2016 has been registered at PS-31,

Chandigarh. An investigation team was constituted under the

supervision of SDPO/South to search the accused which led to

successful arrest of accused Adarsh S/O Sh. Dhirender R/O # 428,

Vill. Faidan, Chandigarh. Further investigation of the case is going

on.

21. 24.8.2016 A Case FIR No. 234 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh against Prabhjot Singh R/o # 314,

Village-Behlana, Chandigarh who has been arrested near Light

Point, Sector-31/Ind. Area, Chandigarh and recovered one

kamanidar knife from his possession. Investigation of the case is in

progress.

22. 29.12.2016 Robbery Case solved by arresting 3 Jevenile

Sh. Beenu R/o # 245, Village Hallomajra, Chandigarh reported that

3 boys robbed complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 1500/-, ATM

and mobile phone on knife point near School, Hallomajra,

Chandigarh on 29.12.2016. A Case FIR No.345 U/S 394 IPC has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. 3 juvenile apprehended and sent

to juvenile home.

23. 29.12.2016 Robbery Case solved by arresting 3 Jevenile

Sh. Beenu R/o # 245, Village Hallomajra, Chandigarh reported that

3 boys robbed complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 1500/-, ATM

and mobile phone on knife point near School, Hallomajra,

Chandigarh on 29.12.2016. A Case FIR No.345 U/S 394 IPC has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. 3 juvenile apprehended and sent

to juvenile home.

24. 05.01.2017 One arrested with 100 Gram of Charas

Chandigarh Police arrested Gaurav @ Gora R/o # 920, Phase-1,

Ramdarbar, Chandigarh from road, near Govt. Tubewell, 3BRD,

Chandigarh and recovered 100 Gram of Charas from his possession.

A Case FIR No.12 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh.

25. 12.02.2017 Apprehended in Snatching

A lady resident of Distt. Hoshiarpur, (PB) alleged that a boy resident

of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, age 17 Years was apprehended while

he was snatching her gold mangalsutra near Hathi Park, Ph-2,

Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 11.02.2017. A Case FIR No. 66, U/S 356,

379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Minor boy sent to

juvenile home.

26. 05.01.2017 One arrested with 100 Gram of Charas

Chandigarh Police arrested Gaurav @ Gora R/o # 920, Phase-1,

Ramdarbar, Chandigarh from road, near Govt. Tubewell, 3BRD,

Chandigarh and recovered 100 Gram of Charas from his possession.

A Case FIR No.12 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh.

27. 12.02.2017 Apprehended in Snatching

A lady resident of Distt. Hoshiarpur, (PB) alleged that a boy resident

of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, age 17 Years was apprehended while

he was snatching her gold mangalsutra near Hathi Park, Ph-2,

Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 11.02.2017. A Case FIR No. 66, U/S 356,

379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Minor boy sent to

juvenile home.

28. 24.02.2017 One arrested under 20 NDPS Act and recovered 500 Gram of Ganja

Staff of PS-31 had arrested Anoop Singh R/o # 455, Village

Hallo Majra, Chandigarh near Light Point, Sector-31/Ind. Area and

recovered 500 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR No.

83, U/S 20 NDPS Act was registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

Investigation of the case is in progress.

29. 03.03.2017 One arrested for stealing mobile phone and purse

Sh. Veer Singh R/o # 2421, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh

alleged that Dawinder @ Bangali R/o # 73, Ph-1, Ram Darbar,

Chandigarh was caught on the spot while stealing mobile phone

and purse containing Aadhar Card & cash Rs. 250/- from his

residence on 02-03-2017. Accused has been arrested in this case. A

case FIR No. 91, U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

30. 05.03.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharminder @ Kala R/o # 24, Ph-1, Ram

Darbar, Chandigarh near Naka, turn, Sector-31/47 dividing road,

Chandigarh and recovered 25 injections of Buprenorphine from his

possession. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered

in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

31. 06.04.2017 One arrested for committing theft

Sh. Harvinder Singh R/o # 1492, Sector 43-B, Chandigarh

alleged that Amarpal (Worker) has stolen away 2.5 Kg brass scrap

from his Factory No. 3118, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on

05.04.2017. A Case FIR No. 121, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in

PS-31, Chandigarh. Accused has been arrested in this case.

32. 21.04.2017 One arrested for fake number plate

A Case FIR No. 133, U/S 395 IPC was registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Gurmit Singh R/o Village

Mubarakpur, Distt. Mohali (PB) who alleged that four unknown

persons robbed his mobile phone and cash Rs. 1700/- and

documents from complainant near Kacha Rasta Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh on 20-04-2017. Later, Chandigarh Police arrested

accused namely (1) Ashu @ Parotha R/o H.No. 1070, Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh, Age-19 years, (2) Moti Chand R/o H.No. 258, Hallo

Majra, Chandigarh, Age-21 years, (3) Maushan Khan R/o H. No.

1515, Deep Complex Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, Age-20 years (4)

Manish R/o H. No. 2521 Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh

Age-20 years in this case. It is pertinent to mention here that five (05)

more cases (FIR No. 152 dated 8.5.12 U/s 457,380 IPC PS-31, FIR No.

158 dated 12.05.12 U/s 379 IPC added 411 IPC PS-31, FIR No. 34

dated 3.2.13 U/s 379,411,34 IPC PS-Ind. Area, FIR No. 345 dated

03.11.14 U/s 324,34 IPC added 326,147,148 IPC PS-31, FIR No. 213

dated 25.7.15 U/s 61-1-14 Ex Act PS-31) were already registered

against accused Ashu @ Parotha @ Mahi Kumar @ Bharta.

Investigation of case is going on.

33. 21.04.2017 Four arrested for committed robbery

Sh. Gurmit Singh R/o Village Mubarakpur, Distt. Mohali (PB)

alleged that four unknown persons robbed his mobile phone and

cash Rs. 1700/- from complainant near Kacha Rasta Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh on 20-04-2017. A Case FIR No. 133, U/S 395 IPC has

been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Ashu

@ Parantha R/o # 1070, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, Maushin Khan R/o

# 1515, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, Moti Chand R/o #

258, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh and Manish R/o # 252, Village Hallo

Majra, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of

the case is in progress.

34. 22.04.2017 One arrested for Snatching

Sh. Vinod Kumar R/o Village Kaimbala, Distt. Mohali (PB)

alleged that unknown person snatched cash Rs. 1900/- and some

documents near light point, Sector 31/IA, Chandigarh on 19.04.2017.

A case FIR No. 137, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh. Later accused namely Surdeep R/o # 2019, Ph-2, Ram

Darbar, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of

the case is in progress.

35. 18.05.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Raj Kumar R/o # 1502, Village

Faidan, Chandigarh from Village Faidan, Chandigarh, and

recovered 510 Gm of Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 160,

U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

Investigation of the case is in progress.

36. 18.07.2017 Two arrested for Snatching

Sh. Manoj Kumar Jahaan R/o H.No-1327, first floor, Phase-2,

Ram Darbar, Chandigarh alleged that two unknown persons on

motor cycle snatched away mobile phone from complainant near

Raman Gas Agency, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh. Later accused

namely Sachin @ Sukhdev R/o # 1034, Ph-2, Ram Darbar and Rahul

Kumar R/o # 129, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh have been

arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 223, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

37. 20.07.2017 One arrested for Snatching

Sh. Rajesh Kumar R/o H.No. 159, Sunder Nagar, near Railway

Bridge, Chandigarh alleged that Charanjit Singh R/o # 132-A,

Sector-29, Chandigarh was caught while he snatched

complainant’s purse near Auto Stand, Tribune Chowk on 19-07-2017.

A case FIR No. 225, U/S 379, 356, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-

31, Chandigarh. Accused has been arrested.

38. 23.07.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Kamal R/o # 71,

Village-Faidan, Chandigarh from Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh

and recovered 30 Injections of Buprenorphine & Pheniramine drugs

from his possession. A case FIR No. 229, U/S 22 NDPS act has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.

39. 01.08.2017 One arrested undwer extortion case

A person resident of Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person

demanded extortion money by sending SMS on mobile phone on

31.07.2017. A case FIR No. 238, U/S 384 IPC has been registered in

PS-31, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Tarun Gupta R/o # 177,

Village Kajheri, Sector 52, Chandigarh has been arrested in this

case.

40. 05.08.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Noni R/o# 2530/1, Ram Darbar,

Ph-2, Chandigarh, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and

recovered 24 Injections of Bupernphine from his possession. A case

FIR No. 241, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh.

41. 03.09.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajesh R/o # 992, Ph-1, Ram Darbar,

Chandigarh near Tube Well 3-BRD road, Ph-1, Ram Darbar,

Chandigarh and recovered 302 Gm Ganja from his possession. A

case FIR No. 272, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31,

Chandigarh. Accused arrested in this case.

42. 13.09.2017 On 08.09.17 at about 01.05 PM, information has been received

through control room that two boys theft after cheating Rs. 25,000/-

and mobile phone near PNB bank plot No. 821 Industrial Area Ph-II

Chandigarh. The spot was inspected by SI Yashpal Singh and

statement of complainant has been recorded, in which he stated

that 08.09.17 at about 11.15 AM, he went to PNB Bank at Plot No.

821 Ph-II Ind. Area Chandigarh for depositing Rs. 25,000/-. When he

reached inside the bank and asked bank official about the process

to deposit the rupees. He said you can deposit directly through ATM

cash deposit machine. He was standing in a queue to deposit the

same. He said one boy, who was also standing in the same queue

that he had not knowledge to deposit the cash through machine

and gave Rs. 25,000/- to the same boy for depositing. The boy

came out to hear the noise of another boy. He asked to return his

money and told he will deposit himself. Another boy asked he will

also deposit Rs. 2 lacks. They went to him ahead of the ATM and

told they will give your money. One of them asked his mobile phone

Vivo Y-66 N and he (complainant) gave him. They gave a wrapped

paper bundle (like bundle of notes) along with handkerchief to him

for getting his assurance. As he caught paper of bundle, they ran

away along with his mobile phone bearing SIM numbers Airte-

9915446673 & JIO-7009749721, Rs. 25,000/- and passbook. In this

regard, case FIR No. 283 dated 08.09.17 U/s 379,420 IPC PS-31

Chandigarh had been registered.

It is pertinent to mention here that another case FIR

No. 288 dated 12.09.17 U/s 379,420,34 IPC has been registered on

the complaint of Bhushan Chorasiya S/o Mathura Prasad R/o Jhugi

No. 14 K-Block Colony No.04 Chandigarh in the same modus

operandy.

During the course of investigation on 11.09.17, secret

tip-off has been received both alleged person will be go Kambala

Mohali (PB) by road Gurudwara Sector-47. On this information Naka

was laid near Gurudwara Sector-47 Chandigarh. After some time

two boys were seen coming towards Naka on pedestrian. After

seeing the police party they turn back. They suspected and caught

with the help of police officials. They disclosed their name Jitender

Paswan S/o Ravinder Paswan R/o Vill Simra Bilontiya PO- Bilontiya

Distt Motihari Bihar and Santosh Sahni S/o Jiteshwar Sahni R/o Vill

Dumariya PS Mohmad pur Distt Gopalganj Bihar and Rs. 10,720/- has

been recovered from their possession. During their interrogation

they disclosed the two other accomplished are also involved in

same modus operandy. On 12.09.17 accused Aftab S/o Salim Ansari

r/o Vill Simra Banotia PS Akil Banotia PS Trikoliya Distt Motihari Bihar

and Upender S/o Atma Sah R/o Vill Simra Banotia PS Akil Banotia PS

Trikoliya Distt Motihari Bihar have been arrested and recovered

The modus of operandi to win the trust of general

public, who were standing in a queue to deposit the cash through

ATM cash deposit machine. Alleged persons went to victims outside

the bank, gave them wrapped paper bundle (likes notes) along

with handkerchief, getting money from them and ran away from

the scene. They duped the general public in various state i.e.

Chandigarh, Zirakpur (PB), Delhi and various districts of Bihar. Now

the investigation of above said cases are going on merit base.

43. 18.09.2017 One arrested with stolen motor cycles

Chandigarh Police arrested Chander R/o H.No-200, Ph-2, Ram

Darbar, Chandigarh at Naka near Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh

and recovered stolen Splendor M/Cycle bearing fake registration

No. CH07-N-1367. A Case FIR No. 297, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later two other stolen vehicles

were also recovered from him.

44. 05.10.2017 Recovery in theft cases

Chandigarh Police achieved major success by apprehending two

juveniles and arresting thieves Krishan @ Angrej S/o Kul Bahadur R/o

H No 560 Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh Age 22 and Dalip S/o Baban

Singh R/o H No 566, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh Age 19 years on

5.10.2017 and recovered 04 vehicles and 24 mobile phones from their

possession.

On 5.10.2017, at about 10.00 PM, a naka near Hallo Majra,

Light Point was set up, where one person on TVS Motorcycle No CH

01AC 9156 came, who was stopped and verified, which revealed the

registration number motorcycle was fake and later the original

motorcycle number found as CH 01 AC 6591. He disclosed his name as

Krishan @ Angrej R/o H No Kul Bahadur R/o H No 560 Vill Hallo

Majra Chd. Thereon a case FIR No 315 dated 5.10.2017 u/s 473,

411 IPC PS 31 case was registered against him. Further, during the

interrogation, he disclosed about another thefts committed by him

and got recovered 01 Activa scooter, 01 motorcycles and 04 mobile

phones u/s 102 Cr.PC

In another case, a secret information was received that a

thief, using stolen the mobile phone from H No 1579, Village Hallo

Majra, Chandigarh was present in park situated at back side Dove

Hotel, Village Hallo Majra, Chd, in this regard, case FIR No 313

dated 5.10.17 u/s 457, 380 IPC PS 31 (Stolen Property - Mobile

Phone Make Carbon) was already registered on the complaint of Mr.

Dinesh Bhagat S/o Harihar Bhagat R/o H No 1579, Village Hallo Majra,

Chandigarh. On this information, police party reached on the spot,

where one juvenile was apprehended accordingly and the stolen

property has been recovered. During investigation 06 other mobile

phones have been taken into police possession u/s 102 Cr.PC.

In the another case FIR No 314 Dated 5.10.17 u/s 380 IPC

(mobile phone make OPPO Neo 7), which was registered on the

complaint of Mr. Vickey Rawat S/o Lt Satpal Rawat R/o H No 584,

Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, one another juvenile was apprehended

on the secret information from Near Raman Gas Agency, Ram Darbar,

Chandigarh and recovered stolen mobile and 06 other mobile phones,

which was taken into police possession U/S 102 Cr.PC.

In case FIR No 261 Dated 26.08.17 u/s 379, 411 IPC, PS

– 31 (Stolen Property - Mestro Activa bearing registration number

CH-01AZ-9858), Chandigarh, which was registered on the complaint

of Smt Shalini W/o Sandeep Kumar R/o H No 2031 Ph 2 Ram Darbar

Chd, who reported that on 18.8.17, she parked her Maestro Activa

bearing registration number CH-01AZ-9858 outside of her house and

the same was stolen. In this case, accused namely Dalip S/o Baban

Singh R/o H No 566, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh Age 19

years has been arrested near Kacha Rasta Hallo Majra, Chd and the

stolen vehicle also recovered from his possession and 06 other mobile

phones have been recovered from his possession u/s 102 Cr.PC.

Later, it revealed that the accused persons are habitual

criminals who are involved in many other cases i.e. property crime.

45. 21.10.2017

Workout of Kidnapping case of boy

On 20.10.2017, A person resident of Phase 2 Ram Darbar, Chd

approached the local police and disclosed that someone kidnapped his

son and the kidnappers are demanding the ransom amount of Rs 2 lacs.

On the statement, case FIR No 331 u/s 364, 364-A, 120-B ADD 363,

506 IPC was registered therein stated that he is running a Meat Shop

at Village Attawa, Chandigarh and on 20.10.17, at about 1.30 pm, he

had received a call on his mobile Mobile number where the subscriber

of said mobile phone told that his son had been kidnapped by them and

asked for ransom amount of Rs 2 lacs and threatened that if the

complainant will not give them the said ransom, they will kill his son.

Further the kidnapper instructed the complainant to reach near CII,

Sector 31, Chandigarh with the ransom amount.

On this information, the matter was put into the notice to the senior

officers and a team was constituted under the supervision of

DSP/South & SHO/PS-31, Chandigarh and laid down a trap near CII,

Sector 31, Chandigarh. The police team having precautionary

measurements in view of safety of kidnapped boy,

arrested/apprehended four boys (their names mentioned below)

including juvenile accordingly.

46. 10.03.2018 Three Missing Children traced out by Chd Police

Chandigarh Police is paying special attention for the security of the

children and citizens in the city beautiful, in the same way Chandigarh

Police did tremendous job at Police station level to trace out the

children and further handed over them to their parents in a short

period of time. On 10.03.2018 at about 2:38 PM, a

telephonically message was received from police control room that 3

children age about 9 year, 5 year and 12 year has been reported to be

missing from their house i.e Hallomajra, Chandigarh. On this message,

SHO Ranjit Singh PS 31 along with HC Lakha Singh and a team of PS-

31 reached on the spot. They personally verified and made sincere

efforts to trace out the missing children. During the search, an

information was received that three children found in Ram Darbar

Park and standing with public person and in the meantime DSP Sh.

Jaswinder Singh also reached on the spot and verified the facts,

where one civilian person namely Amit Kumar S/o Isham Singh R/o 693

PH-I Ram Darbar Chandigarh found missing children in the park and

made a call to control room regarding found children.

After identification and recording statements of parents the

missing children were handed over to their parents.

47. 12.06.2018 Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Jaswant Singh R/o # 2525/B, Sector-47,

Chandigarh, Subash Chander R/o #2852/2, Sector-47, Chandigarh,

Shera R/o # 2338, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and Hem Raj R/o #

2901, Sector-47, Chandigarh while they were gambling at Park,

Sector-47, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 6320/- from their

possession. A case FIR No. 256, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been

registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. 48. 13.06.2018 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Pritam Maurya R/o # 1135, Ph-2, Ram

Darbar, Chandigarh from Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 12

injections of drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 257, U/S 22

NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. 49. 07.07.2018 Special Checking Exercises in view of forthcoming Independence

Day-2018

An interstate joint naka at Zirakpur Barrier from 3.00 pm to

5.00 pm was setup, therein total 425 vehicles have been checked,

therein 04 vehicles issued challan and one vehicle impounded.

A Flag March and announcements in respect of latest security

scenario from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm in Sector 31 and 47 with the help of

reserve provided to PS 31.

Besides above, Tonight in the intervening night 08.08.2018,

the Local police is going to conduct special night search in Ram Darbar,

Chd under the leadership & supervision of Smt. Niharika Bhatt, IPS,

ASP/South, Chandigarh Police, from 3.30 am to onward, therein

special emphasis will be given to verify the jail released, BCs and

suspicious persons. 50. 19.07.2018 Chandigarh Police have apprehended three juveniles and recovered two

motorcycle and one car from their possession and the following three

cases have been solved. The juveniles have been produced before the

Hon’ble Juvenile justice Board accordingly.

Darbar Chd who reported that his black Yamaha M/C No.

CHOIA 47 43 model 2012 was stolen from Japani Garden Sec

2. FIR no. 295 Dated 18.07.18 u/s 379 IPC was registered on

the complaint of Sh Mohinder Singh R/o H. No. 1784 phase 2

Ram Darbar who stated that he parked his m/c no.CH 04V

7607 model 2007 in front of his house in the intervening

night of 16/17 .7. 18

3. FIR no. 296 dt. 18/7/18 u/s 379 IPC was registered on the

complaint of Mrs. Paramjit w/o Gurdeep Sharma r/o 761 Phase

2 Ram Darbar stated that her Honda City car no. HR 51 4884

was stolen from outside of her house.

By apprehension of three juveniles, the property of

worth of Rs 4 lacs has been recovered.

51. 20.11.2018 Rioting & Snatching case solved

A case FIR No 425 Dated 19.11.18 u/s 147, 149, 341, 323, 427, 506,

356, 379 IPC was registered on the statement of Sh Shishan Kumar

S/o Mahavir Singh R/o Village Raipur Khurd Chd, who stated that on

dated 19.11.18 at about 3 PM, he was going to meet his friend at Phase

9, Mohali on his M/Cycle No CH01BH0574, when he reached near ATM

CRPF Camp Hallo Majra, one car No. CH03P0353 Black Color closely

crossed him in very high speed. He instructed the car driver to drive

properly, on this car driver stopped the car and blocked the way of his

M/cycle and 6 young boys came out of the car holding baseball, sticks

in their hands. They all started beating him without any reason and

damaged his M/Cycle. One of them snatched his purse containing Cash

Rs 560, R/C & other documents of his M/cycle and sped away from

spot.

52. 01.02.2019 Theft cases solved

Chandigarh Police achieved major success by arresting two

thieves namely Prince Kondal @ Shanty S/o Lt Mohinder Singh

R/o H No 833, Phase II, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh Age 21 yrs

and Narender Kumar @ Manu S/o Lt Ravinder Kumar R/o H No

2900 A, Sec 20 C, Chd Age 28 yrs on 29.01.17, who were active

to commit property crime in the area of Chandigarh, Punjab &

Haryana and recovered 08 vehicles and 04 mobile phones from

their possession. 03 motorcycles, 01 auto tempo and 04 mobile are related to

cases registered in PS -31, including one snatching case,

whereas, 01 Activa and 04 motorcycles are related to cases

registered in PS 34, IA, Chd, PS Zirakpur, Phase 11 and PS Sec

5 Panchkula Haryana. On 29.01.19, ASI Prem Singh along with police officials were

deputed on naka duty near Gurudwara, Sector 47, Chd and

during vehicle checking, the police party nabbed the above said

thieves along with stolen motorcycle in case FIR No 256 Dated

19.08.17 u/s 379, 411 IPC PS 31, UT, Chandigarh. During

54. 14.02.2019 Factory Godown Theft cases solved

A team of Police Station Sector 31, under the supervision of SHO/PS-

31, has succeeded to work out a theft case by arresting two persons

and recovered the stolen property accordingly. As a case FIR No 54

Dated 12.02.19, 379, 411 IPC PS 31, UT, Chd was registered on the

complaint of Mr. Peeyush Gupta S/o Satish Kumar R/o H No 187, NAC

Mani Majra, Chd against his factory worker namely Jai Parkash R/o H

No 2059, 1st Floor, Ram Darbar, Chd regarding attempt of sealing

some material from his factory situated in Plot No 719, Phase II, Indl.

Area, Chd. On the same day, the complaint found that some material

i.e. 04 stapler pin boxes and 03 hydraulic (mechanism to move chair up

& down) boxes have been stolen.

On 13.02.19, as per the secret information, ASI Prem Singh along with

police officials and complainant, setup naka on the dividing road Sec

47/B-C, near Gurudwara, where the accused Jai Parkash R/o H No

2059, 1st Floor, Ram Darbar, Chd has been arrested and one box of

stapler pins & hydraulic box recovered accordingly.

Further, during interrogation of the accused Jaipal, disclosed that

two hydraulic boxes have been given to Rajesh Sharma, who is

proprietor of M/s Surya Polymes, Plot No 768, Phase II, Chd, which is

adjacent to his factory i.e. Plot No 719. On his identification, Rajesh

Sharma R/o H No 1762, Sector 29, Chd has been arrested and

remaining two stolen hydraulic boxes have been recovered from his

Modus Operandi Accused Jaipal, who was worker in the complainant’s

factory, used to steal the factory material and throw the same in the

factory adjacent to his plot by scaling the common wall through space

available between the shelter teen and wall in connivance of proprietor

of said factory. They stolen the complainant’s factory material twice.

55. 22.02.2019 Snatching cases solved

A team of PS 31 police officials, under the supervision of SHO,

succeeded to work out a snatching case by arresting following two

persons and recovered snatched mobile phone from their possession.

Apart from this, 05 other mobile phones have also been recovered

from their possession, which were found to be snatched by them from

the area of Mohali, Pb and the same were taken into police possession

u/s 102 Cr.P.C

Today i.e. 22.02.19, during the investigation of case FIR No 60 dates

13.02.19 u/s 379, 356 IPC was registered in this police station 31, a

team led by ASI Lakha Singh of 31 has laid a naka near Gurudwara

Turn sector 47/C, Chandigarh and on receipt of secret information he

has arrested two boys namely Amandeep Singh s/o Jasbir Singh Vill

Patton near International Airport JLPL Area Mohali Pb and Kasim Ali

s/o Kadar Ali Vill Mouli Baidwan Mohali Pb Age 18 yrs. At the time of

arrest of accused person possessed the motorcycle make Hero Honda

Spelender PB 65AS 3355, which was used by them at the time of

committing snatching on the intervening night of 13/14-02-2019. The

snatched mobile make Comio. Besides the snatched mobile police have

also recovered 5 more mobiles of various makes I.e. 3 of Samsung, 1

Gionee, 1 MI from the possession of accused person, which were

snatched by them from area Mohali, Sohana, Mataour in previous days.

MODUS OPERANDI

The accused person mostly target the labourer who were on there way

to home after finishing their jobs. They kept following them and stop

them in abandoned and dark area.

56. 13.03.2019 Two drug paddlers arrested by PS-31

Chandigarh Police has succeeded to arrest two drug paddlers including

Nigerian & Girl and recovered 12.5 gram cocaine & 10 gram Heroine

from their possession under the supervision of SHO/PS 31,

Chandigarh, while special drive conducted against illicit drugs selling &

organized crime as per directions of the senior officers.

Under the instructions of the SHO/PS 31, the patrolling parties have

been constituted to nab the criminals involved in the organized crime

and the patrolling parties headed by SI Lakhmir Singh and L/SI Eram

Rizvi along with police officials have recovered 12.5 gram cocaine and

10 gram Heroine from the possession of accused namely Michael

Wilfred Mbonu Age 33 years and a girl Age 26 years and cases u/s 21

NDPS Act have been registered as per followings:

In case FIR No 86 dated 12.03.2019 u/s 21 NDPS Act, at about 5.45

pm, L/SI Eram Rizvi along with police officials was on patrolling duty

on the dividing road Sec 31 A/B, in the meantime one lady seen coming

from front and after seeing police party, she suddenly tried to get

back with speedy foots. On having suspicion about stolen article with

her, she was apprehended by the police party and while her search, 10

gram Heroine (without license / permit) recovered from her

possession and she was arrested.

In case FIR No 87 dated 12.03.19 u/s 21 NDPS Act, at about 7.15 pm,

SI Lakmir Singh along with police officials was on patrolling duty on

the dividing road Sec 31/Indl. Area and reached near Shiv Mandir

Indl. Area Phase II, in the meantime one person seen coming from

Tribune towards Light Point Sec 31/IA and after seeing police party,

he suddenly tried to get back. On having suspicion about stolen article

with him, the police party nabbed the said person and while his search,

12.5 gm Cocaine recovered from his possession and he was arrested,

who disclosed her name as Machael Wilfred Mbonu Age 33 years S/o

Mbonu R/o Vikaspuri Delhi (Nigerian – 20 Adebaya Street, Ushodi,

Lagos, Nigeria).

57. 13.04.2019 Burglary cases solved with arrest of 8 theives

Chandigarh Police achieved major success by arresting 08 thieves

including 04 juvenile and worked out eight cases of burglary

registered in this police station and recovered the stolen property in

several lacs During interrogation of the accused, they disclosed in

their disclosure statements u/s 27 Evidence Act that they have also

committed many thefts / burglaries at different plots in Indl. Area

Phase II, Chandigarh and it revealed that accused and juveniles are

habitual criminals, who committed many thefts in the different plots

situated in Indl. Area Phase II, Chd, for which, the theft / burglary

cases have already been registered in the police station. On the

Modus Operndi – The accused persons including juvenile firstly set

target i.e. plot, where they intend to commit

burglary. Thereafter, they burglar in the said

plot after breaking wall from clerestory / light

hole / vent etc and enter in the factory and

steal the material. Thereafter the accused

persons managed to conceal the same in jungle

area. Later, the stolen material is sold to Junk

Vendor namely Vikas Vakeel, who further sold

the same to different main junk dealers. The

accused persons commit the thefts for

gambling and for their amusement after selling

the stolen material.

58. 03.05.2019 Snatching Case solved

Chandigarh Police achieved major success by arresting 03 snatchers

including one juvenile and worked out one snatching case i.e. FIR No

132 Dated 22.04.19 u/s 379, 356 IPC registered in this police station

and recovered the stolen property from their possession.

The said snatching case was registered on the complaint of Anu D/o

Naresh Chand R/o H.no. 1352 Ph-1 Ram Darabr Chandigarh age 22 yrs,

who stated that On 22.04.19 at about 8.00 pm, she was going to her

house, when she reached near Kali Bari MandirChd, 3BRD Gate, in the

meantime three unknown boys came from 3BRD side on one Activa and

snatched her mobile phone & other documents.

Today i.e. 02.05.19, SI Yashpal Singh along with police party has setup

a naka near Raman Gas Agency, RD, Chandigarh along with the

complainant, where three persons on Jupiter scooter bearing CH 115T

2002 came, who have been identified by the complainant. The accused

persons have been arrested and the stolen mobile have been

recovered from their possession and another phone has also recovered

having suspicion of stolen property. The vehicle used in the crime has

been taken into police possession.

59. 22.06.2019 Two hardcore criminals nabbed in joint operation

A team of Punjab Police and a team of Chandigarh Police has raided

jointly in Deep Complex Hallo Majra, Chd and succeeded to nab two

hardcore criminals and also recovered weapon from their possession.

60. 03.07.2019 Main accused of murder case arrested

On 3.7.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when a

police team lead by Inspr Rajdeep Singh SHO/PS-31 arrested

Kingpin of murder case i.e Rajat Tiwari S/o Mukesh Tiwari R/o

(PB) Age-21 years near Shiv Mandir, Ind Area/Sec-31 dividing

Road Chandigarh. The remaining accused had already been

arrested on 30.06.2019, by the police team of Police Station

Sector-39 and Crime Branch, Chandigarh i.e Chetan Singh S/o

Brief Facts of the case:

On 28.06.2019 at 12.01 PM a telephonic call

received in PS that a quarrel took place near Lucky Sweets

Shop, Sector-40, Chandigarh. On this, Police party visited the

spot where it comes to light that PCR Gypsy rushed the injured

to PGI, Chandigarh for treatment where injured Amit Katoch

declared dead by the Duty Doctor. Injured identified as Amit

Katoch S/o Shri Onkar Singh Katoch R/o #6002, Sunny

Enclave, Kharar (Mohali) Age-27 Yrs and the alleged identified

as Rajat Tiwari and his companions.

From the preliminary interrogation, it reveals

that in the past victim Amit Katoch and alleged Rajat Tiwari

were residing in Sector-41, Chandigarh and having grudge

between each other. Later on, both victim Amit Katoch

alongwith parents and alleged Rajat Tiwari alongwith parents

shifted to Sunny Enclave, Mohali. As there was old rivalry

between them, they both were always keep check each other.

On the date of alleged incident i.e. 28.06.2019, Rajat Tiwari

cordon the activities of victim and keep their location of Sunny

Enclave and when victim Amit Katoch proceeded towards

Chandigarh Rajat Tiwari alongwith his companions chased him.

When Amit Katoch reached at Sector-40, Chandigarh they all

immediately attacked upon him with sharp edge knife, dandas

resultantly declared Amit Katoch scumblled to injuries. After

committed the crime they all fled away from Chandigarh to

different places.

Accused Harpreet Singh @ Laddi went to

Ludhiana and when he returned back from there he has been

arrested from turn Sector-43 B&C, nearby ISBT Sector-43,

Chandigarh and other three accused Chetan Singh, Tilak DC &

Rithwik Bhardwaj were arrested from near Green Belt, Sector-

45 C & D Dividing Road, Chandigarh. These accused have been

arrested on 30.06.2019. Accused were produced before the

Hon’ble Court and 03 days police remand has been obtained on

61. 13.07.2019 Rape case solved with arrest of two persons

Chandigarh Police succeeded to work out the rape case by arresting

two persons namely Ravi Kumar and Mukesh, who committed rape upon

the victim after confining her at home situated in Ram Darbar, Chd.

A Case FIR No 194 Dated 08.07.19 u/s 376 (1), 376 (2) (n), 341 added

34 IPC PS 31, UT, Chdwas registered on the complaint of M, who

reported that on 5/6.07.19 at about 3:00 AM, she along with her

daughter age 3 ½ hired an auto from Railway Station Chandigarh to

Sector – 82 Mohali (PB). The said auto driver offered her meals for

her younger daughter on the pretext that his house is nearby and he

would drop her at her destination after having meals. After that he

took her to his house i.e. H. no. 1699 PH-II Ram Darbar Chandigarh

and detained her there for 2 days and raped her. After that he

dropped her along with her child at PH-7 Mohali, ChawlaChowkMohali

(PB) on 07.07.19 midnight. During the investigation, statement u/s 164

Cr.P.C of victim recorded by the Illqua Magistrate, in which she

disclosed that the Chacha (paternal uncle) of main accused also helped

him in committing offence.

During the course of investigation, the accused Ravi Kumar S/o Ram

Parshad R/o H.No. 357, Hallo Majra Chandigarh was arrested on

08.07.19 and police remand was obtained accordingly. During

interrogation, the accused Ravi Kumar disclosed about the particulars

and hide out place i.e. Lakhnow of main accused. On this information,

teams have been constituted and raids conducted at Lakhnow and

Chandigarh areas. After gearing up secret information, the main

accused Mukesh Kumar S/o Rajinder R/o # 1699, Phase II, Ram

Darbar, Chd Age 23 yrs has been arrested from Ram Darbar, Chd near

Airforce boundary wall accordingly by ASI Lakha Singh.

62. 13.07.2019 Snatching case solved

Chandigarh Police succeeded to arrest two snatchers namely Sandeep

Singh and Sagar Singh, who were active to commit property crime in

the areas of Chandigarh and recovered the snatched mobile and

motorcycle used in crime has been taken into police possession

accordingly.

A Case FIR No 196 Dated 10.07.19 u/s 379, 356 IPC PS 31, UT,

Chdwas registered on the complaint of Mr. RahulRawat S/o DeenDyal

Singh R/o H.No. 1580 Phase-2 Ram Darbar Chd Age 22yrs, who

reported that he was coming from Delhi by bus, when he get down

from bus and going towards slip road Hallo Majra by foot and reached

near Saini Motor Shop, in the meantime, two unknown boys came on a

motor cycle from his back side and snatched his mobile phone make is

Redmi Note 4 Pro, from his hand and sped away from the spot.

During the course of investigation, a team headed by SI Yashpal

Singhwas constituted, who geared up his source of information and on

the secret information, the accused Sandeep Singh S/o Sh. Karanjit

Singh R/o Village Mukandpur PS DeraBassiDisttMohali, Age 22 years

and Sagar Singh S/o Sh. Gurnam Singh R/oVillage Mukandpur PS

DeraBassiDisttMohali, Punjab have been arrested from Kacha Rasta

Hallo Majra and the stolen mobile has been recovered from their

possession and the used motorcycle in snatching has also been taken

into police possession.

63. 18.08.2019 Arrest in attempt to murder case

Today at around 8:50 AM a wireless message received that

some one stabbed a lady near airport light point. On this police team

of PS 31 has reached on spot from the victim was already lifted to

GMCH-32 for treatment by PCR. Duty doctor opined that injured lady

is unfit for statement.

On verification it came to light that injured Neelam W/o Lal

Bahadur R/o # 747 Hallo Majra Age-35 was living with her husband

Lal Bahadur. Both had matrimonial dispute since long. Couple is

issueless though they have married 10 years back and Neelam was

under treatment. Neelam started living separately since last 2

months.

Husband/accused was apprehended from the spot. Husband Lal

Bahadur is suspecting that Neelam is having illicit relationship. Today

morning when she was going to her at Poltary farm, her husband Lal

Bahadur S/o Kullu Age-40 R/o# 747 stabbed at her face, neck and

stomach. At present the situation of victim is stable but doctors have

taken her OT for surgery. Police recovered the knife (Paper cutter)

used by accused which was purchased by him one month ago. Couple is

permanent resident of Ajamgarh UP. Both are doing Labour job in

Poultry farm and Nedle factory.

A case has been registered on the statement of Sheela W/o Raju r/o

# 606, Hallomajra, who a distant Bhabi of Victim under section 307

IPC.

64. 22.08.2019 15 Kg Ganja recovered, heroine measuring 270 grams & illegal

weapon recovered

In continuation of special drive conducting to unearth illicit liqour,

intoxicant substances etc., Chandigarh Police has succeeded to

recover 15 KG Ganja by arresting a person namely Ramanand @ Guddu

S/o Rajpal R/o H No 602, Amb Sahib Gurudwara Colony, Sector 65,

Mohali Punjab Age 24 years.

That, on 22.08.19, SI Sarita Roy along with police officials laid naka on

road near Ashadeep Building, Sector 31, UT, Chandigarh and the

vehicles were being checked by them. At about 11.20 pm, one innova

car bearing registration number PB 65AC 0880, which was driven by

hindu gentleman, who further disclosed his name as Ramanand S/o

Rajpal R/o H No 602, Jagatpur SAS Nagar, Mohali, Age 24 years, was

stopped at naka, and the driver get off from vehicle. It was found

that his kurta pajama was dirty and a revolver was seen in his pocket

of Pajama. On checking, a revolver, thereon Japan was written, and 04

live cartridges recovered from his pocket. On this, the said person

escaped from the naka, who was nabbed by the police party

accordingly. Thereafter, the accused disclosed that someone

quarreled with him and he received injuries on his back in the said

quarrel. Today, he was going to threaten the said person on gun point,

who quarreled with him. On suspicion, his vehicles were checked,

where one bag and one plastic pouch found in his vehicle’s diggy. On

checking vehicle diggy, intoxicate substances i.e. Ganja measuring

15.400 kg in bag and heroine measuring 270 grams in plastic pouch,

found. He could not produce any the licence / permit in respect of

weapon and intoxicated substances. Hence, a case FIR No 225 dated

22.08.19 u/s 20, 21 NDPS Act and 25/54/59 Arms Act, has been

registered and the accused Ramanand has been arrested accordingly.

Modus Operndi – On the interrogation of the accused, it revealed

that the accused involved in this crime since one year and purchase

the intoxicate substances in the bulk from Dera Bassi, Punjab,

thereafter, he prepared small plastic pouch containing small quantity

of Ganja / heroine. Further the accused sold the said intoxicates to

the customers by standing nearby areas of Jagatpura, Amb Sahib

Colony, Mohlai Punjab. He also disclosed that their customers, who

purchase the ganja & heroine, belong to Punjab, Haryana and

Chandigarh areas having good class including students / boys of rich

families.

The accused purchased the recovered country made revolver & 04

live cartridges from Saharanpur UP in the amount of Rs

30,000/-. 65. 05.12.2019 Chandigarh Police exposed question paper leak scandal of Haryana

SSC ITI instructor exam to be held in different computer labs

situated at different states i.e. Haryana, Chandigarh etc. by arresting

one accused namely Nitish S/o Mohan Ram R/o Village Alakhpura,

Tehsil Ditwara Distt Nagaur, Rajisthan Age 24 years (Manager at

Mapple Tech computer Lab situated at Plot No 153, Indl. Area Phase

II, Chd) and apprehending 11 candidates, to be appeared in the said

exam. Each candidate would have to pay the amount Rs 10 to 15 lacs

for procuring said question paper, which will help them to obtain high

merit in written exam to secure the job. The police has recovered the

audio recording, voice notes and whatassp chat between main accused

person Nitish and candidates. Police has also seized mobiles of some

candidates and audio notes, whatsapp chats with other accused

persons is also available in seized mobiles.

On 5.12.19, the police officials of police station 31, were on patrolling

near HDFC Bank, Indl. Area Phase II, Chd, at about 10.30 am, a secret

informer informed that an online exam of Haryana SSC, ITI

instructor to be conducted in the different computer labs situated at

Haryana, Chandigarh etc and one Rakesh @ Rakka, Nitish, Manjit &

Amit are going to supply the question paper to the candidates in the

amount of Rs 10-15 lacs for each candidate and they have been

gathered at Mapple Tech, Plot No 153, Indl. Area Phase II,

Chandigarh. On verification, it is revealed that one Nitish, Manager,

Mapple Tech, Plot No 153, Indl. Area Phase II, Chd was talking

regarding supplying of question paper on mobile phone with one Rakesh

@ Rakka and Manjit Singh. On this, the above said case has been

registered and raid has been conducted, where Nitish along with

candidates namely (1) Kapil Dev S/o Amrit Lal R/o Village Deban,

Tehsil & Distt Kaithal, Haryana Age 29 years (2) Kapil S/o Kawal Singh

R/o VPO Machhrouli Tehsil Samalkha, Distt Panipat, Haryana Age 37

Nagar, Hissar, Haryana Age 30 years, who came with the candidate

Deepika were found present.

During interrogation, the accused Nitish disclosed that Rakesh @

Rakka & others would supply him question paper for the above said

exam and further he would supply the said question paper to the said

candidates in the amount of Rs 10-15 lacs for each candidate and the

candidates were gathered to collect the said question paper. But due

to some problem, the question paper for morning shift could not be

arranged and further the question paper for evening shift exam to be

collected and the same would be supply to the said candidates

accordingly,

During the course of investigation the accused, Nitish S/o Mohan Ram

R/o Village Alakhpura, Tehsil Ditwara Distt Nagaur, Rajisthan Age 24

years has been arrested in the present case and his police remand

would be obtained from the court to establish following points / facts

Modus Operandi The accused persons

used to open computer labs. Through their

brokers, they contact the potential candidates

and assured / allure them for providing the

question paper before exam, so that they may

be able to clear the written exam on high

merit. They payment mode has been decided in

different slabs. They called their customers /

candidates to a certain place (computer labs)

prior night to the exam for briefing / training.

The arrested accused will be produced before the hon’ble Court to

procure police remand to arrest the remaining accused / master mind.

66. 23.01.2020 Chandigarh police has arrested a person roaming near army area with

unlicensed pistol loaded with 04 live cartridges near Railway Bridge,

3BRD Airforce Gate.

On 22.01.2020, SI Lakhmir Singh along with HC Fatesh Singh and

other officials laid a naka near Railway Bridge, 3BRD Airforce gate

and was checking the vehicles coming from Kali Bari Light Point in

respect of forthcoming Republic Day. In the meantime, one car

bearing HR 03 M 9034 make Figo, was stopped by HC Fateh Singh for

checking and the driver came out from the car and disclosed his name

as Ranjeet Singh @ Thakur S/o Mulkh Raj R/o Village Bakal, Tehsil &

Dist Reasi State Jammu & Kashmir and present address H No 52,

Village Raipur Khurd, Chd Age 31 years, wearing lower & jacket. He

was carrying some heavy article in his right lower pocket and when on

suspicion, his right pocket was searched, one pistol loaded with 04 live

cartridges recovered. He failed to produce any licence in respect of

possession of said pistol nor gave satisfactory reply. A case FIR No 11

dated 22.01.2020 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered against him

and the accused was arrested and the said pistol was taken into police

possession accordingly.

67. 05.02.2020 Chandigarh police has arrested an absconded criminal, in case FIR no.

3 dated 15/062018 u/s 364A, 382, 386, 387, 212, 216A,120-B IPC &

42, 52 of Prison act, 10,11,13 UnLawful activity of PS- State Special

Operations Cell, Mohali, Punjab, who is real brother of Gangster Deepu

Banur, on the secret information, near Railway bridge, Arunita Gas

Agency, Ram Darbar, Chd with country made pistol of .9 MM loaded

with 03 live cartridges.

On 05.02.2020, ASI Moti Ram Lal along with other officials, was on

patrolling duty near Bus Stand Ram Darbar, in the meantime, a secret

information received that one person / criminal namely Vipin Kumar @

Karan S/o Rakesh Kumar R/o Ward No 4 Near Old Maszid, Khatiko

wala Mohalala, Banur, Punjab, who absconded / bail jumped in case FIR

no. 3 date 15/062018 u/s 364A, 382, 386, 387, 212, 216A,120-B IPC &

42, 52 of Prison act, 10,11,13 Un Lawful activity PS- State Special

Operations Cell, Mohali, Punjab, therein a category Gangsters of

Punjab namely Jaggu Bhajwanpuriya, Gurpreet Sekhon, Neeta Deol,

Daljit Bhana Deepak Tinu, Deepu Banur etc were involved, is coming to

meet his associates near railway bridge, Arunita Gas Agency, Ram

Dabrar, Chd. It is also informed that Vipin is real brother of Gangster

Deepu Banur, who is associate of Gangster Sampat Nehra involved in

many cases i.e. Murder, kidnapping, Ransoms Etc. On this information,

the police party reached at the spot, where at about 9.30 pm, one

person seen coming from Indl. Area Phase 2 towards police party, who

was identified by the informer as Vipin Kumar @ Karan and the police

party nabbed the said person who disclosed his name as Vipin Kumar @

Karan S/o Rakesh Kumar R/o Ward No 4 Near Old Maszid, Khatiko

wala Mohalala, Banur, Punjab Age 22 years. On his personal search, one

country made pistol .9 MM loaded with 03 cartridges has been

recovered from the right pocket of his jeans pent. He failed to

produce any licence in respect of possession of said pistol and not able

to gave satisfactory reply. A case FIR No 18 dated 04.02.2020 u/s

25/54/59 Arms Act was registered against him and the accused was

arrested and the said pistol was taken into police possession

accordingly.

68. 06.02.2020 Arrest of Murder Accused

On dated 04.02.2020 a case FIR No. 20 U/S 302 IPC has been

registered on the complaint of Sh. Sajjan Singh S/o Ajmer Singh R/o

House No. 2476, Mari Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh age 54

years against Jarnail Singh age 48 years R/o House No. 2476 MWT

Mani Majra, Chandigarh. Complainant stated that Jarnail Singh is real

brother and lives in the adjoining house No.2476 MWT with his family

and married to Manjeet Kaur before 23 years ago and out of this

wedlock he has four children 01 daughter passed away before 05

years ago and one daughter is married. Jarnail Singh was living with

his wife Manjeet Kaur along with one daughter age 13 years and Son 11

years. Jarnail Singh is alcohol addicted and due to this he often

scuffled with his wife Manjeet Kaur. Manjeet kaur was domestic

servant and the only bread earner for her children. On dated

04.02.2020 at about 4.30 AM his niece came out from her house with

loud voice, after listen her voice he ran into the house of Jarnail Singh

and he saw that his brother was carrying Axe in his hand and

assaulting his wife with the Axe and after seeing him ran away from

the spot, after that there neighbour Sonia Choudhary called police. On

this information PCR reached on spot and lifted the injured lady to

PGI-Trauma Centre, where duty Doctor declared Manjeet Kaur dead.

During the course of investigation accused person Jarnail

Singh has been arrested on 06.02.2020. Today accused is being

produced in Hon’ble court to obtained 02 days police remand for

further interrogation in present case. 69. 20.02.2020 Chandigarh Police, in continuation of special drive conducted on the

special direction issued by the senior officers to curb the menace of

drug, achieved a major success by recovering 50 GM Heroine, fake

currency notes of Rs 39,900/- and one Desi Katta with 5 live

cartridges from the possession of the habitual criminal Sagar residing

in Ram Darbar, Chd under the supervision of Ms Neha Yadav, IPS,

ASP/South.

On 20.02.2020, at about 6.35 pm, SI Sarita Roy along with

police party was on patrolling duty near market Sector 31, in the

meantime, a secret informer informed that a habitual criminal namely

Sagar, who always possess country made pistol in his possession, would

come in his white Accent Car No HR 03G 1404 for supplying drugs

near Japnese Garden, Sector 31, Chd. On this information, a naka laid

down near Japnese Garden and checking of vehicles started. At about

6.50 pm, a white accent car No HR 03G 1404 seen coming towards

naka, which was stopped by SI Sarita Roy and the driver disclosed his

name as Sagar S/o Vedpal R/o H No 571, Phase I, Ram Darbar, Chd.

While coming out from the car, SI Sarita Roy noticed a pistol in his

right pent pocket and on checking, a country made pistol loaded with

one live cartridge recovered from his possession. Thereafter,

following the procedure, Ms Neha Yadav, IPS ASP/South reached on

the spot and during his personal search, 50 gram Heroine from his

pocket of pent, 04 live cartridges from pocket of his jacket and fake

/ counterfeit currency notes total Rs 39900/- have been recovered

accordingly. He failed to produce any license or permit regarding

above said recoveries. Hence, a case FIR No 30 dated 20.02.2020 u/s

21 NDPS Act, 25/54/59 & 489 C IPC has been registered against the

accused.
