Data Editor: This 2indo2s displays the contents of the data file. #ne can create ne2

data files or modify e0isting ones. The data !ditor 2indo2 opens a/tomatically 2henone starts as SPSS session. #ne can have only one data file open at a time. This editor

provides t2o vie2s of the data.

Data view :displays the act/al data val/es or val/es labels.

Variable view:+isplays variable definition information- incl/ding defined

variable and val/e labels- data type - etc.

*hile the data !ditor- one can modify data val/es in the data vie2 in many 2ays

like change data val/es3 c/tt- copy and paste data val/es3 add and delete cases3 add and

delete variables- change the order of variables.

Viewer: All statistical res/lts- tables and charts are displayed in the 4ie2er. The o/tp/t

can be edited and saved for later /se. A 4ie2er 2indo2 open a/tomaticalaly the first time

yo/ r/n a proced/re that generates o/tp/t.

Draft Viewer: The o/tp/t can be displayed as a simple te0t in this 2indo2s.

Syntax Editor: #ne can paste the dislog/e bo0 choices into a synta0 2indo2- 2here theselections appear in the form of command syta0. #ne can then edit the command syta0 to

/tilize special feat/res of SPSS not available thro/gh dialog bo0es. These commands can

be saved in a file for /se in s/bse5/ent SPSS sessions.
