and enhances the bowling experience.

League Minutes

Under U.S.B.C. rule 100m, the Wednesday Night Spring/Summer League will

operate as a managed league for the duration of the season. A managed league is one in

which an individual, designated as the league manager, oversees the operation of the

league.

1. FEES: Weekly bowling fees are $20 per person. Tonight we are collecting $40 ($20

for lane fees and a one time administrative fee of $20).

2. VOTING: Items to vote on:

a. Do you want to an 8, 10, 12 or 14 week season? 10 (Final game 3 June)

b. Do you want the foul sensors on or off for the duration of season? Yes

c. If a team is not present at the beginning of league play, league rules state, “A team

has until the completion of the first frame, or a select frame other than the first, to field a

legal lineup.” A legal lineup is at least two players (substitutes count toward a legal

lineup).

d. By what game should a team field a legal lineup? first, by what frame? third

(please keep in mind that work, traffic, or other unexpected emergencies could

impact any of us at any time).

Note: The frames not bowled by a team or tardy player (s), by league rule, their

scores are one tenth of their absentee score.

e. What handicap system should we use? Last season a 200 average (.80 % of 200)

equaled a 0 handicap. 80 percent of 200

f. Vote to allow only Pre-Bowling. Yes

Note: Team captains are responsible for setting up pre or post bowling

arrangements with the bowling alley, and also informing the opposing team and the

League Manager. The lanes assigned for Wednesday matches are the same lanes used

during Pre-bowl.

g. Substitutes are to hold an established handicap by what week of the bowling

season? 4th

week

Note: Once voted on, no substitutes are allowed to bowl in league games unless

they have established a league handicap.
