Mask ManiaCreate a colorful bejeweled mask for a masquerade ball or animaginary animal mask for unlimited fun, using a variety ofmaterials including glitter, feathers and tissue paper.

Jungle BoogieChildren will create a jungle diorama using twigs, leaves and mini animals.

Watercolor CollageCreate a personal collage using watercolors, the resistancetechnique, cut out images and add on decorations.

Bird Nests Using a cup cake paper holder, hay, threads, and yarn, kids willcreate a bird's nest that will hold a bird created with clay andfeathers.

Vegetable PrintingMake patterns with cut vegetables dipped in paint, be as creative as you like with patterns.

Decoupage DayUsing scissors, rubber cement, and various papers, kids will decoupage a treasure box for there keepsakes.

Sand CastlesKids will create a castle fit for a king or queen, made with wooden spools and colored sand.

DinosaursMake a dinosaur with wire, set on a base and mold clay around itand watch it come alive. Decorate with beads and markers.

RobotsCreate a fantasy robot using air dry clay, nuts & bolts, screws and other embellishments.

Paper MacheMake lady bugs, spiders and other creepy crawly's using Paper Mache, tissue and glitter.

Spring Placemats Using flower prints, stencils, paint and contact paper, create a sturdy placemats for mealtime fun.

PuppetsUsing fabrics, pompoms, pipe cleaners, yarn and googly eyes create your own hand puppet for hours of fun.

Kevin Brownie: Mr. Brownie received his BA and BFA fromConcordia University, Montreal, and also studied at the BanffCentre for The Arts in Alberta and York University, Toronto. He hastaught in Ireland and at SVA and FIT in New York. His credits as abackground painter, storyboard, layout and animation artistinclude 'Heavy Metal', 'An American Tail II', Bugs Bunny shorts,Beavis and Butt-head, Saturday Night Live, C.O.P.S., Teddy Ruxpinand the Ace Ventura animated series.

Jeanne Carreau: Ms. Carreau was a master potter’s apprentice inJapan and then earned her MA at UC Berkley in East AsianStudies. Working with clay for 40 years, she has taught childrenand adults in California, Hong Kong, and New York and has shownher work in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York. She currentlyteaches at the Pelham Art Center and the Clay Art Center.

Maria Elena Carullo: A jeweler since high school, she has workedin several areas of jewelry design. She now works on designs inbeaded jewelry, marketed by Mariele Garcia Co., and holdsdegrees in modern languages and educational administration.

Deborah Coulter: Ms. Coulter has a BA from The EvergreenCollege, Washington and also attended SVA and the University ofHartford Art School. A visiting artist at Solomon Schecter Schooland Mamaroneck High School, she currently teaches privately inWestchester and Connecticut.

Dan DeNapoli: Dan received a BFA from The School of Visual Arts,NY and studied at The Art Students League. Mr. DeNapoli hastaught children cartooning, painting, and drawing at TheWestchester Academy of Self Defense and graphic design andadvertising at The School of Visual Arts.

J.C. English: Ms. English is classically trained in oils, pastels, anddrawing and was an apprentice to Daniel E. Greene. She receivedher academic training at The Art Students’ League. Her work hasbeen included in many juried exhibitions and she has taught in thearea for over 20 years.

Hope Friedland: Ms. Friedland is an award-winning watercoloristwho has exhibited widely. She has also authored articles onelementary art education. As well as teaching adults, she is knownas "The Art Lady" from her workshops for the Westchester LibrarySystem.

Lydia Hassan: Ms. Hassan holds a BFA in Visual and PerformingArts from Syracuse University. Works for the Fox MeadowElementary School in the after school program and as a teachingartist for the Mid-Westchester JCC as a special education artteacher. She has eight years teaching experience in pre-school art,she enjoys the excitement that comes from introducing newmaterials to the youngest artists.

Susan Kaufman: Susan Kaufman has created murals and awardwinning exhibitions for museums, businesses, and private homes.For 20 years, she has taught students of all ages. She isCoordinator of Art School Programs and gallery curator for JCC ofMid-Westchester in Scarsdale.

Nora worked in a French traveling circus and walkedacross the US, but finds being a suburban mom and yoga teachersher wildest adventure yet.

Susan Nathenson: Ms. Nathenson received her BA fromWashington University and has exhibited and taught throughoutthe US, Europe and in Hungary. A member of the HungarianPotters Association, she has completed several residencies inHungary.

Donna Ross: Ms. Ross has a BFA from the School of Visual Artsand has taught children for several decades. She is a decorative,mural, faux painter and restorer for many private clients. She is analso an instructor at Scarsdale YMCA, Siwanoy School, and theJapan America Society.

Janet Shearn: A graduate of the Fine Arts Program of YorkUniversity in Toronto, Ms. Shearn has 22 years’ experience as atheatrical scenic artist on over 250 productions. She received acertificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from NY BotanicalGardens.

Iris Schecter: Ms. Schecter has recently worked as an art teacherat Eastchester Middle School. She has conducted numerous artworkshops for families at the Albright-Knox Museum. Ms. Schecterreceived her MA in art history from SUNY Purchase and her BS inArt Education from SUNY Buffalo.
