Loose Park Garden Center
Anyone who grows roses can
enter the rose show. Choose
your most beautiful blooms when
they are about half to three-

you know the rose’s name.
(Peace? Pink Knockout? Don
Juan?)
Bring your roses to the Loose
Park Garden Center between
8:30 a.m. and noon on Saturday
morning, and we’ll help you get
them groomed and show-ready.
Never won a blue ribbon? Enter
in the Novice Class!
If it’s not your first show, just
bring your roses. We have
classes for all varieties of garden
roses and also a class for rose

As the Rose Garden awakens
after a long winter, we’re looking
forward to hosting our annual
Rose Day celebration in the Laura
Conyers Smith Rose Garden.
Our Rosebuds Junior Board is
already working hard to make this
year’s event a success.
The afternoon will include
performances by the Mighty Mo
Jazz Band and the Kansas City
Youth Ballet. We also hope to
partner with Starlight Theater for
a show preview or a ‘meet and
greet’ with the cast.
A children’s Art Experience table
will be sponsored by the Nelson-
Atkins Museum of Art, and we’ll
also display local students’ rose
art.
Re-up for 2020 at our
Membership table and get expert
advice on your roses at the Ask a
Rosarian table.
Please mark your calendar and
help spread the word about Rose
Day.
We hope to see you and your
family there!
