Transforming men! 20 years of Men’s Events was celebrated with Promise Keepers’ most powerful Event ever – The Call. Over 3000 men felt the deep impact of the Holy Spirit stirring their hearts with renewed vision, passion and vigour. Men were saved. Men recommitted themselves to God’s calling. Men were healed. Many men commented on how they were moved because the speakers were so open and vulnerable, sharing their stories with honesty and integrity. This peaked in Auckland with Inga Tuigamala. He turned down a well paid speaking opportunity to honour his commitment to speak at Promise Keepers. When men were invited to give towards his needs, Inga was overcome by the men’s generosity and gifts. Seeing his emotion, more men flooded out with a spontaneous offering to help him and his family. It was an incredible ending to an incredible Event season. Promise Keepers continues to be a place of breakthrough for fathers and sons. Many young men made commitments at Transition, Stance and The Call. Ray was thrilled that his young adult son came back to God at Promise Keepers after many wilderness years that included drug use and jail time. What an awesome result for any father who loves his son! God’s power was evident in so many decisions made, but especially in healings. JJ was ecstatic with restoration of sight in one eye after prayer! His enthusiasm was electrifying! Many men have also taken the first step to address problems with porn. This is such an addiction for some men that Promise Keepers is committing to make ongoing resources available to help men break this addiction. The strong momentum generated this year will provide an excellent launch pad for Pure Power 2014, where we expect to see even more men experience God’s power. Promise Keepers invites you to be part of what God is doing in men’s lives in 2014! Spring 2013 Financial Supporters Update Special Appeal The team has worked hard to reduce costs but unfortunately Promise Keepers is still faced with a significant cash deficit. This is due to several factors, including more men needing subsidies to attend Events, increased technical and venue costs and more specialists in the team! Holy Spirit stirring their hearts with renewed vision, passion and vigour. Men were saved. Men recommitted themselves to God’s calling. Men were healed.

Many men commented on how they were moved because the speakers were so open and vulnerable, sharing their stories with honesty and integrity. This peaked in Auckland with Inga Tuigamala. God has challenged me this weekend. My life was starting to plateau and get a bit boring but God has intervened and mixed things up and called me to a bigger challenge, a deeper level and [to be] a better husband and father. Mark, Oamaru

Another great Event, challenging and inspiring. Best aspect for me was seeing the men that came with me grow in their connection and relationship with God. Mark, Methven

The week of Promise Keepers I was in a situation that had led me to emotional exhaustion. The situation is still there but before I came here (to Promise Keepers) I was wondering how I could keep going and persevere. The worship got my focus right. By the song “Give Me Jesus” in the second set I was in tears and ready to go on when I get home. Phil, Marton

It was the best day in my life with God, the Lord Jesus and all my new brothers. Hemi, Palmerston North

I experienced a very deep work going on in me by the Holy Spirit. I’ve had a rough time work-wise [for the] last year or so and have been scarred and beaten down. I feel like I’ve been met on the battlefield and encouraged, healed and re-equipped to get back into the fight. John, Feilding

Two years ago, during my first Promise Keepers meeting, it helped me find my feet again during a time of extreme stress. This year (my third!) was the one that really opened my eyes to the fact that our family is as important as anything else. My purpose this year will be to mend bridges with my children and be the father the Lord wishes me to be. Gus, Rangiora

Highlights: Worshipping in a room with a thousand other men. Being prayed for one-on-one after repentance / rededication. The powerful testimonies of men who have surrendered fully to God. Seeing the power of the Spirit at work. Rollin, Auckland

Highlight: The awesome presence and sense of God’s power at work. The content this year was so “on to it”! Rodd, Epsom

Celebrating 20 years of Events for Men – the exploding cake at The Call, Auckland
