The GBUS curriculum

The GBUS curriculum consists of three key components:
Case analysis:Train up your critical thinking
GBUS is not an academic discipline. GBUS courses focus on critical thinking and integration of knowledge in different business scenarios. A typical GBUS course involves around 5-6 cases and 2-3 group presentations.

• Completion of at least 29 credits, including transferred credits upon admission
• CV: Track record of initiatives and achievements (e.g. leadership, service, sports, projects, competitions)
• Personal statement: Fit with GBUS core values and potential to benefit from and contribute to the community

Interview
• Interview is required for admission into GBUS– Once passed paper screening, admission decision is based on interview
performance
• Interview shortlist– Meet listed minimum academic requirements– Paper screening based on CV and personal statement– Selectivity negatively correlated with CGA
• Interview dates and format– May 20 (Wed) afternoon and May 21 (Thur) afternoon– Small group interview– Face-to-face or by Zoom, depends on prevailing university guidelines on

3. What should I put on my CV?A one-page highlight of your recent and most significant experience and achievements
4. Will I got shortlisted for interview if I put GBUS as my second choice?Interview priority will go to those applicants who put GBUS as their first choice. If there are many high quality first choice applicants, we may not be able to consider the second choice applicants

5. If my Fall CGA missed the requirement marginally but I work very hard in Spring
to pull up my CGA. Will there be a “make-up” interview session after the Spring
semester grades are released?
• We will take a look at all the applicant’s updated CGA and their profile again when
the Spring grades are released, “make-up” interview session may be arranged for
exceptional cases
6. Should I re-apply if I have applied before?
• No harm to try but have realistic expectation
• Self reflection on previous compromising factors: quota, academic results, co-
curricular records, interview performance; consider whether these factors have
changed
