St Hildas Way, Gravesham: Our fourth
project for the Council under the SEC
Framework. This
project comprises the
design and construction
of 10 flats, 3 houses, 4
maisonette flat blocks
and associated
external works.
IN PROGRESS
Goffs Park, Crawley: Works are getting
close to completion for the design and
construction of 44 residential units. The
project for Crawley
Borough Council
consists of five blocks
of timber framed
houses and four blocks
of flats.
Whitehawk Way, Brighton: Working w ith
Southdown Housing Association, we are
remodelling the existing buildings, and carrying
out the erection of a single storey extension
link, creating 6 self-contained supported living
units with associated staff areas.
SPRING 2019
Northbourne Road, Eastbourne: Working
with Eastbourne Homes we have demolished
the existing houses with works well underway
for the design and construction of 12
traditionally built flats.
RECENTLY COMPLETED
Danemore, Tenterden: Working with our
Client Ashford Borough Council we have
successfully delivered this design and build
contract of 34 apartments for affordable rent
and 4 chalet bungalows for private sale. This
project has been designed specifically for the
over 55’s.
The traditionally built flats provide a carbon
friendly solution incorporating a large area of
the green roofing, with each flat benefitting
from a winter garden balcony.
Entering into Spring we have had another
positive start to the year. We have recently
secured two care home projects in Brighton and
Horsted Keynes with a combined value of over
£10M together with two affordable housing
schemes for Sanctuary Housing and Gravesham
Council with a total value of over £7M.
We have commenced our first project with the
Clear Sustainable Futures Framework for the
major refurbishment of Victoria Mansions in
Eastbourne and will be commencing the
second contract shortly— Eastbourne infill sites.
Our in-house Carpentry and Groundworks
teams remain busy, currently working on 82%
of our own projects.
PROJECTS COMMENCED
Westall House, Horsted Keynes: The
design and construction of three separate
extensions to an existing fully operational care
home owned and operated by Abbeyfield
Society. The
extensions will be
of varying sizes
and functions with
links to the
existing care home.
Leolyn House, Hastings: Working w ith
Optivo we are carrying out
alterations and
refurbishment works to
convert an existing nursing
home into 16 flats.

STAFF, SOCIAL & TRAINING
Our Brighton Team
have relocated and are
settling in to their new
office in Upper Beeding, West Sussex.
We are delighted to have started 2019 with new
members joining the team in the following
disciplines, General Operations, Groundworks,
Administration, Site Management and
Estimating. We continue to advertise new
opportunities on our website.
Our training centre continues to be successful
in delivering accredited
training courses.
We have had an overwhelming response to the
courses we offer, our centre has become
increasingly popular and is keeping the training
team busy. Our fully qualified trainer, Paul
Phillips delivers the training with passion and
through his style of delivery, has generated a
great deal of repeat business for the company.
The feedback we receive from delegates has
been excellent and assures us that we are
offering a first class service.
Our Social Secretary, Mark Sherwood has
organised yet another challenge this Summer.
25 members of staff will be taking part in the
Dunkirk-Bruges Bike Challenge where they will
be cycling over 100 miles; to Bruges by the
coastal route and back to Dunkirk by the
inland route. The team will be raising as much
as possible for charity and a link to the Just
Giving Page will be uploaded to Twitter soon.
Last but not least a huge congratulations to
our Buyer, Victoria Cawkill and Site Manager
Ben Cawkill on the birth of their baby girl
Anastasia.

something we are extremely proud of’.
Well done to the whole team at Westridge
especially the staff who were individually

EVENTS
We are excited to announce that
on Friday 21st June we will be
holding another Country
Pursuits and Charity Day at
our head office. Invites will be
sent out shortly so keep your eyes peeled. As
usual we will have long bow archery, clay
pigeon shooting and the very
popular geese herding, as well
as target golf and the ‘digger
experience’. We are hoping
the day is as successful as
recent years and keep our fingers crossed for a
sunny, dry day!
Having been recently awarded a place on the
Westworks Framework, we will be exhibiting at
their Innovations and Supply Chain event on
Tuesday 2nd April at the National Self Build
and Refurbishment Centre in Swindon. The day
will be a good opportunity to network with
presentations on MMC and OSM.
We continue to attend and support Building
Sussex and Kent Connections, KCFG meetings,
Sussex Construction Forum and Construction
Excellence Kent, Sussex and Surrey, so keep
and eye out for us there.
