GO ADNA MUSICIANS!! The Pirate musicians have been very busy since Spring. In April several competed in the annu-al State Band Competition in Ellensburg. Our qualifying students were Rachel White, Taylor
Hines, Alden Wolf, Natalie Schlueter, Daisy Bower and Anna Jones (alt).
The following month the Adna Pirate Marching Band traveled to the east side of the state to participate in the annual Wenatchee
Apple Blossom Parade.
In July it was announced that 2017 Adna Graduate Rachel White was selected to perform in the 30th Annual New Year’s Parade in London, England. Rachel will be among more than 650 other students that were selected from all over the world. The parade boasts 10,000 performers and is seen by nearly 300 million peo-
ple.

Central Washington University Classes at Adna Goldman Sachs Gives
In the Spring business/middle school math teacher Mrs. Moon applied and was awarded a Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund Grant in the amount of $2590.00. She was able to use the grant funds to purchase curriculum for the Careers Class. We want to thank Goldman Sachs for the awarded grant and Mrs.
Moon for her wonderful grant writing. ~ Great Work!! ~
Summer 2017 District Building Projects
As soon as the 2016-17 school year ended the district started work on a few projects. A couple of exciting projects began with the replacement of the bleachers in the middle/high school gym. The concession stand at the stadium is also under construction for the start of the new school. The other project that you will notice is that the old bus barn at the district office site is in the process
of being taken down. The district is excited to complete these projects.
