Meeting called to order 711 pm
Attendance All districts were in attendance except LDC

Minnesota District 5 Coaching InformationSteps to Become a USA Hockey CoachUSA Hockey and the Coaching Education Program require both certification and registration to beeligible to coach Registration is done online on a yearly basis Certification is also required A fewbasic steps requirements are as followsNEW FOR 2017-18Coaching Education Program Online Age-Specific Requirements (Must be completed PRIOR toparticipating in any team activities and cannot be added to a roster until completed)

3) 2018-19 D5 Rule changes
a) Coaches game misconduct penalties b) Fair play point policy
4) SquirtU10 game limits
35 games total Includes all leaguetournamentexhibitionscrimmages
Does not include district playoffs
3 on 3 Half ice are encouraged Does not count against 35 game limit 5) Player move updown
a) Reminder Per District policy all mite move ups are placed on the lowest team offered
b) Move down requests have become a point of emphasis this season Will be extremely hard to obtain
6) No A team
No rules in MN Hockey allowing a player to try out for another Association if home association does not offer an A team This would need a discretionary waiver form to be completed
7) MN Hockey Grant money There will be a new program to grant money to Associations Application forms are not yet available
8) Affiliate Agreement Fill out and sign
9) League play and District playoffs Discussion

St Cloud no update
BuffaloAnnandale Registration closed 731 had a coaches meeting 40 coaches attended which was great things are coming along
Hutchinson registration is closed parent meetings are starting
LDC not present
MOOSE Had the golf tournament on Saturday and this year made over 20K with sponsors
River Lakes 4 on 4 league opened with 160 kids registered and it about $100 for 4 weeks
Sartell Working on second sheet having 3 on 3 tournament and registration is closed
Sauk Registration closed 731 had a coaches meeting 40 coaches attended which was great things are coming along
STMA Arena on schedule registration on schedule and meetings with parents are happening
Willmar Registration and fall ice working on recruiting kids
