For more than 100 years, Brunswick School has turned out strong minds and solid athletes with an emphasis on the building of character. When summer arrives, our commitment to providing a positive developmental environment for young people continues with each of our athletic camps.

Our accomplished coaching staff strives to teach each camper, novice or experienced, the skills and strategies needed to elevate their level of play and reach personal goals. The coaching staff is the heart and soul of our programming, and they are trained to understand the needs of children and the importance of role modeling.

• Instructional swim is now part of the sports camp curriculum.

ALL-STATEAges 8 (advanced), 9, 10, 11 • These athletes are looking

to play in middle school or on a competitive town or travel team. With a mix of fi rst-time sport players, these young athletes have already developed the dream and solid skills to play competitive sports.

• These athletes will receive 1.5 hours of instruction, play instructional games for 1 hour, and play 2-3 hours of round robin tournament games in the primary sport of the day.

• They will become more confi dent and skilled with the primary sports, learn steps of progression, and have opportunities to speak with current varsity athletes, coaches and special guests.

ALL-AMERICANAges 11 (advanced), 12, 13 and 14• These athletes will learn how

to approach, play, and train for high school sports and progress in the primary sports we offer.

• Each athlete will select three sports of specialization per week and work with our trained staff in small groups to improve specifi c skills unique to those sports.

• They receive advice on how to balance high school life as a student-athlete and the importance of respecting their bodies.

• They will also meet with our Strength and Conditioning Coach each week, where they will learn the importance of nutrition, muscular development, speed and agility.

• These athletes will take their game to the next level, understand what will be required of them as a high school athlete, and have opportunities to speak with current varsity athletes, coaches and special guests.

THE BRUNSWICK SPORTS CAMP, now in its 73rd year, will continue to develop and improve athletic skills of children ages 5-14. This camp is designed for the travel athlete as well as the fi rst timer; we will meet your campers’ needs. Our awesome curriculum gives campers core and recreational sports. With over 10 hours of athletic instruction and participation in games, your camper will have the greatest summer ever. Additionally, each camper will have a chance to win fun, daily competitions and opportunities to participate in recreational games including badminton, speedball, handball, fl ag football, four-square and so much more. Your camper will also learn good sportsmanship at the same time he or she is learning the fundamentals.

ALL-LEAGUEFirst-time players ages 5 and 6 (Broken up by talent not age)• These players are learning

instruction individually and in small group settings.

• These curious athletes will receive a total of 2 hours of instruction and 3 hours of games per day in primary sports

• Building self confi dence and self worth in your child is our #1 goal

• They will become comfortable with the primary sports, learn to ask questions, and have opportunities to speak

with current varsity athletes, coaches and special guests.

• Instructional swim is now part of the sports camp curriculum.

ALL-COUNTYFirst-time players as well as advanced-beginners ages 7 and 8.• These players may already

be particiapating in Town or League sports, and are continuing to devlop basic skills by applying them more readily in game play.

• These athletes will receive a total of 2 hours of instruction, 3 hours of games per day in primary sports, and round-robin tournaments weekly.

• Sportsmanship and fair play are both foci for this age group.

GAMAL AMIR is the premier Squash Pro in Fairfi eld and Westchester County. Once ranked in the top 25 in the world, Gamal has propelled his protégés to compete and win both nationally and internationally, most notably Hayes Murphy (BWK ’14) won the US Nationals at the U19 level. Gamal has many of his students playing squash in college including local stars like Dylan Murray (Harvard) and Murphy (UPenn).

Gamal and his team of squash pros will focus on racquet control, footwork, tactics, match play and much more. There are two levels of squash that will be offered to campers: Train like a Pro (learning the Egyptian secrets to squash) and Learn to play squash. Both squash camps will be held in the Stephens Squash Center at The Edwards Campus on King St. Our 9 state-of-the-art squash courts will give your campers all that they need to take their respective game to the level they desire.

WELCOME TO CAMP BEARLOCK! Brunswick School’s NEW Day Camp is designed to provide fun and engaging activities for boys and girls 6-10 years old. This two-week full-day program will feature swimming, athletics, STEM, artistic expression, and daily Camp Adventures. Swimming: All campers will receive daily swim time in the recently completed Brunswick Natatorium! Artistic Expression will include traditional camp art as well as dramatic play designed to instill confi dence and the “willingness to try.” Athletics and Movement will focus on exposing your camper to a variety of basic athletic skills through a physical education lens. Camp Adventures will include various activities such as karaoke, science and nature expeditions, camp-fi re stories, orienteering, scavenger hunts, and team-building exercises. Our STEM component exposes campers to activities in which they build, create, and problem-solve using a variety of engineering tools and media. Enrollment: Birthdays and completed academic grades will be taken into consideration. Campers must enroll for both weeks.

This camp is for rising 8th – 10th grade boys with various skill levels. Campers will be instructed by Brunswick School’s Varsity Basketball Coach, Robert Taylor and Phaethon Bolton. Robert is a former Ivy League college player and current Upper School faculty member. Phaethon is a former Brunswick Bruin and played point guard for the Wake Forest University basketball team. Robert and Phaethon have engaging, nonstop basketball drills and games planned each day in Brunswick School’s basketball facilities, located at the Edwards Campus on King St.

THIS CAMP IS GEARED to bring out the best in your soccer lover! With the help of our accomplished coaching staff, led by Varsity coaches Power Fraser and Jon Kaptcianos, we will teach your son the skills and strategies needed to play soccer competitively. THIS CAMP IS DESIGNED to bring the energy out of your beloved bruiser! The goal of Wrestling Camp is to teach your son the skills and strategies needed to wrestle. Integral parts of learning to wrestle include emphasis on developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and confi dence in every participant. Campers will learn conviction and self-control, while developing wrestling skills. Individual-skill work will be emphasized, along with techniques including takedowns, pinning, breakdowns, riding, and bottom moves. There will be ample opportunity for campers to participate in matches, games, and much more! Each session will be held at the Burke Field House on the Edwards Campus on King St.
