Martial arts started in China. It is also practiced for exercise It is practiced for self defense Martial arts have been part of the Chinese culture for 2000 years. The government provides sports in facilities, factories, schools
and government buildings.

More than 6 million children in the U.S do martial arts. It is known to improve discipline and respect. Kung Fu is one of the martial arts commonly performed in both
the U.S. and in China

Chinese indoor sports
Ping pong and table tennis are China’s national sport!
Kids in school play ping pong at recess.
Kids also play badminton during recess time.
Gymnastics has been part of China for 2 thousand years!

Chinese outdoor games Soccer and basketball are both very popular in China China does very well in the Olympics in swimming and volleyball
and gymnastics. Gymnastics has been part of China for 2 thousand years!
