Sports and Equality Questionnaire(206 students)
„Horea, Cloșca and Crișan” Middle School, Brad
This project is funded by the European Commission with the ANPCDEFP support
CONCLUSIONS: The survey on „Sports and Equality” was
made on 206 students from „Horea, Cloșca and Crișan” Middle School, Brad, Romania.
There were 52% females and 48% males, most of them over 13 years old (57%) and 43% between 10-12 years old.
The great majority of our students practise sport, mainly football, handball, basket ball, sports mostly favoured by students. Unfortunatelly, only 16% practise sport daily, while 26% occasionally and 5% have not taken up any sport.
Hopefully 98% of the children practise sport together, at school (both boys and girls).
Among the sports seen by children appropriate for both boys and girls, are handball, football, basket ball and tennis.
Basket ball, tennis, swimming, chess and table tennis are mentioned among the sports which can be practised by people with different special needs. 83% can’t mention a sport which can only practised by women and 52% don’t know any sport just for men.
Our most outstanding sports women are Nadia Comăneci – romanian gymnast who got the first 10 in a competition, Simona Halep – tennis player and Cristina Neagu – handball player in Romanian national team.
