Athletics Skills Model & Track

The Athletic Skills Model (ASM) is about wellbeing, health and optimal talent development of children, adolescents and adults. It is about the quality of the hours you practise not only the quantity.   It is evidence based upon both practical experiences and scientific findings.   The ‘digital generation’ is missing the fundamentals movement skills for both a healthy life and a sport life.  In fact, a solid base for a successful sport career is missing. ASM produces specific programs for boys and girls i.e. the ASM growth model (biological age). Other unique points of attention are the applications of motor learning strategies and transfers of learning.   The ASM will be tailor made for every sport,

Sportsbet Wins Big with Big Data

Many organisations spend considerable sums on collecting data of their players, but lack the capability to systematically store and analyse the data using sophist icated qual itat ive techniques, such as computational statistics and machine learning. Data gathering for the sake of it can be very futile unless it is used to drive action during the athletic process. While technology on its own cannot guarantee success, the focussing of time and effort in developing robust analytical processes has great potential. Some contemporary practitioners now have first-hand experience of how the intelligent use of ‘sports analytics’ can improve player acquisition and performance management.

Meeting in the Middle Between Data Driven Assessment & Coaching Questions of Performance & Readiness

With the exponential rise of data collection on athletes there is becoming a greater emphasis and desire to see “that number”. This session will highlight the integral role in understanding the process that lead to the numbers and helping practitioners and athletes alike ensure we understand, not just rely “on the numbers”. Multiple examples of applying sports biomechanics and data analysis in collaboration with coaches knowledge will be presented to highlight the “how” of deriving numbers that provides crucial insight beyond simply “what” numbers are attained.
