Scholastic Clay Target Program for Young People 5th — 12th grade: Wild Marsh is currently working with a National Sporting Clays Association delegate to offer young people the opportunity to participate in organized sporting clays activities here and other like minded sporting clay facilities in Minnesota. This youth shooting program, SCTP, is for ages 5th ~ 12th grade. The SCTP is more than just another shooting program. It is designed to instill in young people a set of personal values and character traits that teaches fair play, compassionate understanding, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and personal commitment qualities necessary to become a successful and contributing member of society. Competition is part of the SCTP, but is not the program’s underlying principle. The “win-at-all-costs” philosophy has no place in the SCTP. Striving to win while playing by the rules does. SCTP activities are designed to incorporate two in-dispensable elements ~ SAFETY AND FUN. The kids will make up teams of 3 and as-signed a certified shooting coach. Teams will not be able to participate without the coach present. Young people interested in participating or receiving additional information on costs, practice, and tournament schedule need to contact Debbie at Wild Marsh Sporting Clays, 320-743-4960. Sign up concludes April 20, 2007.
