Coaches Review: It was clear that Scott was struggling towards the end of the session especially with the last set. He wanted longer rests in between sets which indicated he was finding it difficult.

Coaches Review: Scott handled the increase from just 10x30m to an extra 3x80m well and didn’t struggle.

Athlete Feedback / Questions:

Scott said this was the most challenging yet and that he was aching after, however was happy to get through the session.

Athlete Feedback / Questions:

Scott said he felt the extra 3x80m in his legs but that this week he did without any problems.

Is Progress As Expected? If No Describe:

Yes, at the start of the programme I definitely think Scott wouldn’t have been able to get through 4 sets of this weight and as he got through this it certainly shows progression.

Is Progress As Expected? If No Describe:

No, I was hoping Scott would show signs of a bit of a struggle towards the end but it looked like the programme was still fairly easy for him to complete.

Are the Next Session Overload and Progression Plans Appropriate? If No Describe:

I’m not sure how Scott will do next week with the same number of sets and reps but an increase of weight from 55kg to 60kg, it could prove a struggle.

Are the Next Session Overload and Progression Plans Appropriate? If No Describe:

Yes, an increase of number of sprints will hopefully test him a bit more.

Coaches Review: This week was a real challenge for Scott and he only just managed to push through to complete the session. There was a couple times he put the weights down mid-set however he did manage to finally complete the session.

Coaches Review: I could tell Scott's speed was decreasing as the session went on indicating that he did find this week harder than the others.

Athlete Feedback / Questions:

Athlete said this was the hardest session by far but said he doesn’t think he would have been able to do this weight at the start of the programme.

Athlete Feedback / Questions:

Scott said he felt that he struggled as he picked up a knock in his match the day before which would explain the noticeable decrease in Scott’s speed.

Is Progress As Expected? If No Describe:

I was hoping Scott would complete this without too much of a struggle but he did complete the session showing that progression has been made.

Is Progress As Expected? If No Describe:

I’m worried that the knock Scott picked up could have not helped with any progression that would have been made.

Are the Next Session Overload and Progression Plans Appropriate? If No Describe:

Yes, there is an increase from 4 sets of 6 to 4 sets of 8 which I expect Scott to complete, however it could be a bit of a struggle.

Are the Next Session Overload and Progression Plans Appropriate? If No Describe:

If Scott is recovered next week then the plans should be appropriate and hopefully slightly challenging for him.

Coaches Review: As he did last week he struggled a lot and it took time to complete the 4 sets but he got through it in the end. However, I do feel this could be down to him losing his technique because of the weight.

Coaches Review: This week went better than expected and Scott completed both sessions without any problems .

Athlete Feedback / Questions:

Scott said he felt it was difficult be said he felt it went much better than last week.

Athlete Feedback / Questions:

Athlete said he was happy at how things went this week and that he is pleased with the progress he feels he is making.

Is Progress As Expected? If No Describe:

Yes, Scott completed the session. Is Progress As Expected? If No Describe:

Yes, there was an increase of sessions from one a week to two a week and I feel that Scott certainly handled this well and is progressing.

Are the Next Session Overload and Progression Plans Appropriate? If No Describe:

The final week will definitely be difficult for Scott and I’m worried he may not complete it as there is an increase of weight. I will make sure Scott is using the correct technique again which should help him.

Are the Next Session Overload and Progression Plans Appropriate? If No Describe:

Yes, I want the final week to be a push for Scott and I’m hoping it will be so he has to work harder as he is more likely to increase the trait if he pushes harder for it.
