The construction of the Mercanti Square, which is built around the civic Broletto Tower, was decided in 1228, while the effective works began in 1562, led by Vincenzo Seregnini. For about six centuries, from 1200 to 1700, right in this quadrilateral, Milan has had its point of reference for all the city commercial and institutional exchanges. The Camera di Commercio bought the whole palace in 1911, to make it its own seat. The structure of the Palazzo Affari is set of four foregrounds, along a global surface of around 4000 mq. Il 10 Agosto 2011, a Pechino, il Comitato Esecutivo della FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs) ha deciso che Milano, in occasione di EXPO 2015, ospiterà dal 1 al 18 ottobre 2015 la FINALE MONDIALE DEL “WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE”, Campionato del Mondo del Cinema, della TV e della Comunicazione sportiva
La rassegna mondiale si articolerà in diversi momenti a Milano e nell’hinterland in 550 sedi tra loro disgiunte e coordinate in un unico Progetto: Proiezioni, Convegni e Workshop, Eventi sportivi, ricreativi e culturali collaterali, Mostre, Premiazioni con ospiti di alto livello internazionale.
Numerose le location dell’evento: sedi istituzionali e culturali della città (musei, teatri, sale di proiezione), impianti sportivi, parchi cittadini, Parco Sud, cascine attraverso il “Fuori-Festival”: una selezione di eventi sul territorio milanese organizzati per circuiti.
L’evento, all’insegna della “Cultura attraverso lo sport”, diventerà un’occasione di incontro e confronto culturale tra le diverse generazioni e toccherà anche le tematiche dell’educazione, dell’ambiente, dell’alimentazione, della famiglia e del Made in Italy, coinvolgendo la città e l’hinterland di Milano, in particolar modo i giovani e i “silver workers”.

On the 10th of October, the FICTS (Federation
Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs)
Executive Committee decided that Milan, on the
occasion of EXPO 2015, will host the “WORLD
FICTS CHALLENGE” WORLD FINAL, World
Champioship of Cinema, Television and sports
Communication.
The World show will be articulated in different
moments in 550 seats, separated and coordinated
in one Project: Projections, Meetings, Sports
recreational and cultural Side Events,
Exhibition, Awards with guests of high
international level.
There are many locations of the event: institutional
and cultural seats of the city (museums, theatres,
rooms of projections), sports facilities, parks, Parco
Sud through the “Fuori-Festival”: a selection of
events throughout the country near Milan.
The event, in the pursuit of “Culture through
Sport”, will a chance of meeting and cultural
comparison among different generations reaching
also the themes of education, environment,
feeding, family and Made in Italy, involving
Milan and the hinterland, especially young people
and “silver workers”.
