Executive Summary
This proposal outlines sponsorship of the Skytypers Flight Demonstration Team. The Skytypers program is a comprehensive, turn-key, marketing program with a successful track record of creating visibility and achieving program objectives through the integration of event marketing, media relations, and hospitality tactics.Leveraging a Skytypers sponsorship will develop a tangible presence and increased business for our sponsors in key markets.

points that incorporate Sponsor key messages.– Customized Collateral - We’ll create customized collateral
including Sponsor Skytypers press kits and letterhead.
– Press Kit Development - We’ll customize Sponsor press kits with tailored press releases.
– Spokesperson Media Training - We’ll conduct media training with Skytyper media “spokes-pilots.”

Skytypers and Sponsor to targeted national media outlets that include, national daily newspapers and national television radio stations, and aviation trade magazines
– Per Market Public Relations - In each air show market, we’ll pitch Skytypers and Sponsor stories to local media targets that include daily newspapers, local television and radio stations.
– Exclusive Media Rides - We’ll offer key reporters and photographers exclusive media rides to secure coverage of the Skytypers and our Sponsor.

Hospitality - The hospitality program was created to give Sponsor VIPs a one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes air show experience for up to 30 VIPs.– Leverage airshow hospitality to motivate local
managers, store personnel and/or key vendors– Guests can be hosted at the Skytypers’ 41-foot
custom hospitality vehicle that features Sponsor graphics, private patio, observation deck, full kitchen, a 12-person golf cart with Sponsor graphics and uniformed staff members.

Item Description Cost Turn-Key Skytypers Sponsorship
All flight operations for the airshows outlined here, changes would be mutually agreed. Includes flight time, maintenance, fuel, engine oil, smoke oil, pilot salary and T & E, insurance, air show development and training. PR services: including monthly retainer for airshow season, development of PR plan, key message points, media training, execution of “At Risk Kids” event, clipping services, letterhead, releases, press kits, and T & E for PR staff. Hospitality services: including operation of support vehicle and hospitality functions at shows. Includes transporting, staffing (hosting), and operating the vehicle. Catering, invitations, VIP premiums, and autograph card and posters.

Mort Arken - Squadron Commander (call sign: Boss) of Flushing , N.Y., is a retired U.S. Army and Navy pilot with 30 years of service. In 1969 he founded Skytypers by acquiring six of the world’s 11 remaining 1940s SNJ-2 Navy fighter aircraft.Larry Arken - Asst.. Squadron Commander (call sign: Viper) of Hicksville, N.Y., is a captain with American Airlines and has been flying since he was a child sitting in the co-pilot seat next to his dad, Mort. A New York native Arken has a bachelor’s degree in marketing for Queens College and a bachelor’s degree in business form Edison State University.

Steve Kapur - Pilot (call sign: Sting) of Bridgeville, PA, has a commercial pilot’s license and is a flight instructor. When notat the airport Kapur works as Director of Promotions for a major consumer marketer. A New Jersey native, Kapur has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from St. Norbert College and a MBA from Marquette University.Charles O’Brien - Pilot (call sign: OBie) of Virginia Beach, VA, is a retired U.S. Navy Commander. In 30 years of service, O’Brien logged over 7000 accident-free hrs, participated in eight carrier deployments, 723 carrier landings and earned four Air Medals and the Bronze Star. A Philadelphia native, he has a BA from the U.S. Naval Academy, and a master’s degree from Old Dominion and is a graduate of USN flight training.

James Record - Lead Solo (call sign: Bogus) of Garden City, N.Y., is a captain with Northwest Airlines. Prior to becoming acommercial pilot, Record flew for the United States Navy. A New York native, Record has a bachelor’s degree from Downing College in Oakdale, N.Y., and attended USN pilot training.Steve Salmirs - Flight Lead (call sign: Blue) of Scottsdale, AZ, is a first officer for America Airlines. Prior to becoming a commercial pilot, Salmirs flew F-16s in the U.S. Air Force for nine years. Born and raised in Newport News, VA., he attended William & Mary College, has a bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and attended USAF pilot training.

Ed Trudeau - Pilot (call sign: ET) of Cazenovia, N.Y., is a retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Air National Guard. Inaddition to his part-time military service, Trudeau was an air traffic controller for 37 years, working at several major airports in the Northeast, including Tower Chief at New York’s Kennedy International Airport.Jan Wildbergh - Opposing Solo (call sign: Dutch) of Freeport, N.Y., is a retired commercial and military pilot. He served for nine years in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a Captain. He then went on to work in the commercial sector for 35 years. Born in Indonesia he has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utrecht and attended USAF pilot training.
