ABOUT USThe South of England Agricultural Society is a registered charity dedicated to the celebration, promotion and support of farming, agriculture, countryside living and the rural community.

Central to the Society’s remit is the provision of educational events, grants, awards, bursaries and scholarships for people with an interest or involvement in farming, agriculture and other related land-based industries.

STOCKMANS’ DINNER – £4,000The famous Stockman’s Dinner takes place on Friday 12 June in the Bolney Tavern. A true Show tradition, the Dinner hosts over 220 Stockmen who enjoy the dinner’s informal setting. The package includes branding on the Dinner ticket, branding and signage inside and outside of the Bolney Tavern, the opportunity to make a speech, hand out prizes and access to the dinner for up to five people to optimise networking.

Organised by the South of England Agricultural Society, the horseshoeing competition is run across all three days of the Show. It upholds and demonstrates the standards and skills of shoemaking by traditional methods. INTER-HUNT RELAY (THU, FRI, SAT) EXCLUSIVE – £2,300 / NON-EXCLUSIVE – £1,150

The Inter-Hunt Relay is one of the most popular attractions on the Show’s programme, drawing a big crowd to the main Ardingly Ring. Local Hunts compete in two heats which take place on the Thursday and Friday with the semi-finals and final taking place on the Saturday of the Show. THE SHEEP SHOW – £2,000Align your brand with the hugely popular Sheep Show (the second most favourite entertainment attraction of the Show), an educational and humorous live stage event starring a cast of ewes and rams and their two-legged MC. Located in the Discover the Countryside Area, the Society’s education marquee is a key attraction for children, with a programme including school competitions and interactive activities. It offers an exclusive opportunity for branding and to engage children.

2020 will be the 33rd year of the Young Artisan of the Year Competition. This prestigious event embraces two of the South of England Agricultural Society’s key objectives, namely to promote crafts and skills and to encourage young people to extend themselves and produce work of the highest standard.

Entries include Woodwork, Metalwork, Ceramics, Textiles and Design & Technology.

All the income generated from sponsorship and donations is used to organise, stage and present the awards at the Show. We are grateful to receive sponsorship and donations from individuals, organisations and companies.

Sponsorship starts at £250 (Bronze). Personal donations can be for any amount (although we are not allowed to provide any entry tickets to the Show in return). It is hoped that the Awards will provide financial assistance and publicity to encourage the successful candidates to pursue and broaden their skills.

The competition is open to anyone aged 14-23 years living or studying in Berkshire, East Sussex, Hampshire (including the Isle of Wight), Kent, Surrey and West Sussex.

If you would like to become a sponsor, please refer to pages 7 and 8 to determine your package and complete the Sponsorship Application Form on page 20.
