In 2000, the five of us decided to cre-ate a golf tournament to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Research. The fol-lowing year, we moved towards the manly cause of a research machine for prostate cancer at Sunnybrook. After a few years of focusing on prostates, we helped build surgical suites for can-cer patients, then committed to a new early detection centre for heart and cancer patients.
After that, we made a 10-year com-mitment to building a helipad on the roof of the hospital. Their current he-lipad is currently in the parking lot, which adds 10 minutes of transport time for every patient flown in via the
Ornge air ambulances. By allowing the helicopters to land directly on the roof, we’re helping to save time, and therefore lives. Without the support of our friends and colleagues, this event would not have become the fundrais-ing powerhouse it now is. Each year, we’re making a difference in countless lives throughout Canada.

It’s amazing how quickly time passes. Every summer for the past
15 years, we’ve had the pleasure of taking a day off and enjoying a
great round of golf at Eagles Nest. Following the incredibly unimpres-sive number of bogies, we enjoy drinks and quality cigars with our oldest friends. In fact, that is our
favourite part of the entire day. We love being able to relax and catch up with people we are proud to call
our closest friends – some who have been for a little while, and
others for decades.

AD SPECIFICATIONS
Platform: Macintosh platform required
Accepted File Formats: Press optimized Adobe PDF/X1a compliant files are preferred. However we will also accept the following
formats, provided they include hi-resolution CMYK images and fonts: Adobe InDesign® CS4, Adobe Illustrator® CS3 or 4 and Adobe
Photoshop® CS3 or 4.
*Artwork not supplied in suitable formats will be recreated by our publisher at a rate of $250/hr.
Graphics: Raster images must be 350ppi at 100%. Uncompressed TIF files for images is preferred and EPS required for images with
clipping paths. JPG files are NOT the preferred format for printing, but are acceptable if the resolution in 300dpi at 100%. Remove
all colour profiles prior to saving files. The Gelato Cup does not assume responsibility for any images that infringe on copyright or
royalties for supplied images.
Colour: All files must be saved in CMYK mode. RGB, Index or Pantone colours must be converted to CMYK prior to submitting
artwork. RGB blacks converted to CMYK must be adjusted to single colour black with maximum ink density of 250% for specials.
Non-compliant images will be automatically converted to CMYK. The Gelato Cup and Whatever Publishing do not assume respon-
sibility for content errors or discrepancies that may occur as the result of this conversion.
Fonts: Convert all fonts to outlines or include fonts with source file(s). Font substitutions will be made for missing or non-compliant
fonts. The Gelato Cup and Whatever Publishing do not assume responsibility for content errors due to these substitutions.
