In this life none of us are exempt from being challenged and confronted by Satan and sin who would rather see us remain on the defeated side of life wallowing in self-pity, misery, defeatism and low self-esteem. This Sunday, June 21 st we celebrate Father’s Day 2020. Though this special day was formally recognized as a national holiday in the USA in 1972, its origin date back to 1910 and were initiated by Sonora Smart Dodd, in Spokane, Washington who wanted to honor her father and other dads for their selfless sacrifice, love and support. On this Sunday, Father’s Day, we salute first our Heavenly Fathers who makes all things possible and secondly, we like Sonora Smart Dodd salute our earthly Fathers who give their children, families, church and community selfless love, sacrifice and support. Kudos dads and single parents who have to fulfill both roles. We honor you especially knowing that it is difficult to be a father and many in 2020 are no more than sperm donors who do not actively support or participate in the lives of their children. May God continue to bless, keep, support and sustain you in all your endeavors as you give following the example of Jesus who came to “serve and not be served.” Enjoy your day! Join us this Sunday, June 21, at 10:00am in the church back parking lot for our monthly drive-in worship experience. By using an FM radio transmitter worshippers are able to sit comfortably in their vehicles to worship, pray and hear God’s Word together while practicing social distancing. After service members line up in their cars as they prepare to leave the church ground to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion touched and distributed only by the pastor. If you have not attended one of our drive-in services, I encourage you to do so, if you have attended I encourage you to invite others to join us. This will be a great way to honor our heavenly Father and our earthly fathers, especially those who have given themselves to Jesus through faith and belief in God’s Word.

  • Greeting congregation

Hope everyone is enjoying this time with family and friends.

If you are accessing the church, please remember to arm the alarm

system upon leaving. Turn off the non-essential lights and lock all doors

including the hallway door. Let's work together to keep our church house

secure and reduce the utility cost.

    Have a great week,

    Racism and the Church

    – What can we do?

At this unparallel time in our nation we find ourselves

fighting the Pandemic of COVID-19 and the roots of

racism that brought about the murder of George

Floyd, Ahmaud Arbrey and Breonna Taylor and so

many others over the generations and centuries of this nation.

It is my hope that The Church, the Body of Christ, especially the White evangelical church in

all denominations will finally rise up and be the voice of reason and truth to give biblical

guidance to an ugliness that for to long has been coddle by their pastors and

congregations. If the “White” church in America had not historically embraced slavery, Jim

Crow laws and white supremacy and said unequivocally this is not right, things would be

totally different today. I invite you to see some of the statements against racism that have

been written by our National Church body the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

President Matthew Harrison and others. To visit click on this link (LCMS-racism). May God

continue to bless our nation and people as we all work to overcome this sickness that has

    lasted to long. Pastor Wiggins

During our Zoom congregation meeting it was announced that we have set the date of Sunday, August 2, 2020 to reenter our sanctuary. As our Re-opening Team, led by Evelyn Story continues their ministry to make sure everything is done decently and in order with God, the CDC and our local officials please keep them in your prayers. Also, since the phase of reopening will only involve Sunday, morning worship (no Sunday School), we will plan for worship to begin at 10:00am. If you have any questions please contact Evelyn Story at 904-955-7739. Pastor Wiggins

    Mid-Week Bible Study –

    Wednesday, June 24, 2020

Stand Guard for the Day of the Lord!

    2nd Peter 3:1-18

“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand

years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is

patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

    2nd Peter 3:8-9 NIV

Join us this Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for our mid-week bible study. Our study

equips us to be prepared for the “Day of the Lord,” judgement day, when Jesus shall return to judge the

heavens and the earth. It is easy to be distracted by all that is connected to the pandemic and social unrest

that we are experiencing due to racism that has plagued this nation since its birth.

Don’t miss this opportunity to grow in your spiritual awareness and faith…as we anticipate the glorious day

when the troubles of this world will be no more. St. Paul Lutheran is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom

    meeting.
