SpiritSpeaks March-April, 2017 Volume 14 Issue 2
Dear Ones,
As you march ahead into spring I am wondering what is
marching along with you? What thoughts?
What feelings? What expectations? In your thoughts are
you occupied with past and future? How long do you
linger in the now? When in the present, how long does
it take before being swept away by the past or pushed
forward by the future? Is there a resolve to: “Be Here Now?”
What is happening mostly in your feeling zone? Where do your feelings mostly
linger? Is the past and future weighing heavily and negatively impacting them?
Perhaps you are mostly feeling energetic now that spring is here? Maybe the joy
of new life budding has you smiling and has you on the lookout for new colors,
tones and textures, new bird song? What are you envisioning your springtime to
be, I wonder?
These are the questions I ask myself just now. Where am I in this springtime?
Where do I want to be? How do I get to where I want to be? The answer to my
questions came back to me loud and clear: “Get to where you want to be by
knowing you are already here. Be here now! The only place you can be is
wherever you are in your mind and you are always in your mind NOW!" An
answer leaving me much to ponder on!
Well, I am knowing for each and everyone of you, Dear Hearts, that you are
open and receptive to good and only good and are ready for the new and
wonderful. I am knowing that Spirit by means of you is on the move clearing
away anything that may be stopping you or blocking you from the deeper
realization of your amazing and bountiful life. I am knowing that any situation,
circumstance, condition, idea, experience or feeling of a challenging kind is
being cleared now and Spirit in and through you is moving you upward and
forward into your expanded life and living. I am knowing that faith in the Power
and Presence of Spirit in you is strong and absolute, beyond any sense of doubt.
You ARE the outlet to all Spirit's bubbling grace within you. So relax! Release!
Let Go! Let God! Yours is the Kingdom of good now! Relax! Release! Let go!
Let God! Claim your good! Own it! It is yours already, but only for the
KNOWING and saying YES to it! You are so loved, and so cherished and given
to by your Creator. Trust Its Creative Process in you, working through you! See
then if your life will not open up in ways you will be magnificently surprised by,
and you will then know who and what you are in truth! This is what I am

A Season for Nonviolence 2017
A great opportunity to promote nonviolence
and a reverence for life is through the Season
for Nonviolence program, taking place in the
South Bay and communities throughout the country. A Season for
Nonviolence takes place between the memorial anniversaries of Mahatma
Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., honoring their vision of a nonviolent
world. The 64 day program, running from January 30th through April 4th is
a campaign created by people like you who are choosing nonviolence as a
way of life. We encourage you to join with others in the South Bay to help
build communities that honor the dignity and worth of every human being
through the practice of nonviolence. Your participation in these activities
will hasten the unfoldment of this dream. For information on ways to
participate, contact the church office at (310) 540-5080.

“Dying to Be Me”
by Anita Moorjani
In a wonderfully synchronistic stream of
events, I noticed a copy of “Dying to Be
Me” on a friend’s coffee table. Not really
being part of the ongoing conversation, I
picked up this book and ‘sampled’ it.
Anita Moorjani finally wrote the book
after notes on her near death experience
(NDE) had begun to spread to and
impress many experts. I skipped the first
few chapters after I saw that they were an
inviting lead up to the meat of the book –
I wanted the dessert first!
I loved reading this powerful book!
Page 75 About her NDE, she wrote “the
unconditional love & acceptance was
incredible … I became aware of a new
level of truth. I discovered that since I’d
realized who I really was and understood
the magnificence of my true self, if I
chose to go back to life, my body would
heal rapidly … my body is only a
reflection of my internal state. If my in-
ner self were aware of its greatness and
connection to All-that-is, my body would
soon reflect that and heal rapidly”.
Page 113 During her NDE, she heard the
words”Go back and live your life
fearlessly … I went from an outside-in
view of reality to an inside-out view ..
although everything exists in a web of
interconnection and we have access to it
all, my world at any point in time is a
tapestry of all my thoughts, feelings,
experiences, relationships, emotions and
events up to that point … I can increase
or limit my tapestry by expanding my
experiences & awareness or restricting
them”.
Page 116 … we never really become
disconnected from the center … we
temporarily lose sight of it … our sense
of diconnection is simply part of the
illusion of duality … being centered
means feeling our place at the center of it
all … the center of oneness”.
Page 166 Needing certainty shackles my
potential for the unexpected. … in the
realm of ambiguity, I’m at my most
powerful. Letting go of all previous
beliefs, disbeliefs, dogma and doctrines
puts the infinite universe at my disposal
and works to give me the best possible
outcome for my life. It’s where magic
happens.
This is not a Science of Mind book – it IS
a book that reminded me of what we
teach at our Center & in our classes – the
author had the experience that burst her
through a crash course inTruth as we
know it. What a confirmation of all we
state we believe!
On the inside cover it reads “I believe
that the greatest truths of the universe …
lie deep within us, the magnificence of
our heart, mind and soul. Until we under-
stand what is within, we can’t understand
what is without … I share my story in the
hope of touching your heart in some way
and reminding you of your own
magnificence”.
There’s so much more …

BOOK REPORT
As a volunteer your services help make our Center
the wonderful place that it is. Here are some
volunteer profiles of various opportunities for you to
answer your inner calling to lovingly serve our
church community.
Would you like to be a Greeter? As a Greeter, you
are the first impression of our center as people come
through our doors. Making everyone feel welcomed
is an enriching experience for you and all of our
Center’s family.
Being an Usher is the art of making visitors and
members feel comfortably at home and lending
spiritual dignity to the whole Center’s service. The
usher acts as host and has countless opportunities to
make friends for the church by his/her personal
bearing, manner, and welcome attitude.
Any day Monday through Friday at any time from
9am to 5pm or Sundays before and after the service,
the Front Office needs volunteers to answer
phones and in person inquiries, help with mailings,
and other various light clerical duties. On Sunday,
volunteers are needed to sell magazines, CDs and
DVDs of our services, Dr. Moira, and various
workshops, and answer questions. Your cheerful
and patient attitude, friendliness and a welcoming
personality are deeply appreciated.
If you love to nurture people with food and a smile,
the Hospitality group is the place for you. You will
be preparing and providing food after both services,
and helping with the clean up. We are grateful for
your creativity and desire to push up your sleeves
and pitch in.
If you would like to work in the Bookstore,we need
help in there on Sunday mornings after both
services.

different activities. Sell tickets in Richelieu Hall,

or Richelieu Hall to help decorate, and any other
details needed for the event to run smoothly.
There are many opportunities in our Youth
Center. From being a teacher , an assistant, a
greeter from one Sunday a month or ongoing
commitment. Greet children and parents at the
Youth Center entrance, oversee the sign in
process for both children and parents, escort new
children to the appropriate classrooms are just
some of the activities. If you love children, are
creative thinking, love singing, playing and
having fun, this is the place for you to serve.
The Audio/Video department is also looking for
special volunteers to help with the recording of
CDs or DVDs as well as people interested in
learning to run the sound equipment.
We are so grateful for our wonderful volunteers.
We are so blessed to have each and every one of

SPRING CLEANING FROM THE INSIDE OUT!
Reverend Louisa Gravelle When it’s time to spruce up your home and dust off the cobwebs, do you spring clean from
the inside out? Are there thoughts and conditions you want to release? What about inner
programming? Anything there you would like to delete? Any hurt feelings you are ready to
forgive and dissolve? Is it time to let go of an item and the feelings associated with it? On
the other hand, what needs your attention and intention to blossom and flower?
Here are a few guidelines you might choose to adopt to transform your life from the inside
out.
What’s working?
Okay what thoughts and feelings do you entertain that works for you? Some of mine are “I love myself.” “I am grateful.” “I am the One in whom God is well pleased.” “I am a powerful,
healthy, and loving leader.”
What’s not working? What’s holding you back?
Your thoughts and feelings may sabotage your progress towards your goals. I suggest that
you take a look at the whole picture. Don’t edit yourself. Write down the thoughts that
interfere with your highest vision of yourself. Get them all on paper or tablet.
After you have answered all of the questions in this article for yourself, go back to your list
and turn every thought on the list into an affirmation for your highest vision.
What’s most essential to you?
For this portion of the inner transformation, I recommend that you become quiet, and vision
from within. Ask yourself “What is most essential to me?” LISTEN!!!
Why do you want to bring order into your life and being?
What is your motivation? What is echoing throughout your body being from your inner
voice?
Is it? “I choose to live a life of love and freedom.” “I increase my self-confidence.” “I increase
my financial abundance.” “I increase my sense of well being and peace of mind.” “I am
healthy.”
What is causing the problem?
Are there external challenges to finding the time to meditate? Or you don’t have a space to
be alone?
Are there internal challenges? When you quiet your mind, it rambles? You don’t trust your
inner thoughts? You don’t know how to contact God?
When you look at what’s causing the challenges, they are always from within. It may appear
that there is nowhere or “no when” for you to be alone. Walk outside and breathe. Duck out
of a meeting; stand in a hallway, breathe. Internally, when you give yourself permission to
“clean house” God meets you right where you are and says “YES, I am with you always.”
Ciencia De La Mente
Queridos lectores:
A continuación voy a compartir con ustedes unos versos del poema “La Casa de los
Huéspedes,” de la inspiración del inmortal Rumi: “El Ser Humano es una casa de
huéspedes. Cada mañana llega algo nuevo, una alegría, una tristeza, una maldad;
cierta experiencia momentánea llega como visitante inesperado. ¡Dales la bienvenida
a todos... Trata a cada huésped con honor aunque sea una multitud de lamentos,
pensamientos obscuros, vergüenza, malicia. Recíbelos riendo e invítalos a entrar...
Amor, paz.

Youth and Family Corner
RBCSL Youth Program is thriving beautifully and continuing to offer a
quality program for children of all ages. We are happy to report that our
"Tween" program (11-14 ) now meets twice a month, the second and
fourth Sunday each month. Our goal is to meet every Sunday by the
beginning of summer. It's a special opportunity to be part of a new group of
like minded friends, seriously diving into learning the principals that will
empower them to navigate through their teenage years.
We are thrilled to announce that we have our new nursery teacher and she
is wonderful so, bring in your little ones.
Our largest group of children ages 5-10 are so much fun!!
As we are moving towards spring, we will have special craft projects
making flowers and paper baskets. We have science to explore and many
wonderful plans to learn about our world and each other.
As always, we thank you for bringing your children to our program.
RBCSL is an incredibly special place to learn and grow, at every age. We
are blessed by your beautiful children and are so grateful for every
Sunday that we have them in our program.

PRAYER TREATMENT FOR THE RICHNESS OF LIFE
By Rev. Mary Morgan
The Spirit within me is the same Divine Intelligence that creates all things. I am one with the rhythm of life. Each day I
take time to allow the love of Spirit to permeate my thinking, my words and my actions. God goes before me clearing my
path to realize the pattern of perfection at the heart of everything. I allow the Power within me that knows only goodness
and light to inspire me, to guide me, and to protect me in all activities and relationships. I know that God gives to me only
what it can know through me, as me. So I open my mind and expand my vision of my Life, accepting into my experience
all the good that I desire. I declare that the richness of life, abundance and prosperity of every kind – money,
relationships, love, well-being, wisdom, health, opportunity, creativity, and peace of mind – are mine now. I release any
idea that I might have had that I must wait for my good. Gone are the fears that I once believed could stop or block me.
Fear is merely nothing trying to be something. Anything that is unlike to sweetness of Life has no place in my world.
My good is mine now. I embrace the real truth of who I am and who I came here to be. I remind myself that I am the only
thinker in my world. I identify solely with thoughts of goodness, kindness and love.
At peace, I center my thinking in trust of the joyous, bountiful Presence of Spirit knowing Itself as me. I release this
declaration into the Law of Mind, knowing that my word is always responded to by Spirit that loves and honors my word.
In gratitude, I smile and relax into a deep knowing that the mind of God is my mind and knows exactly what to do to
guarantee that my desires manifest now. In complete surrender, I allow this prayer to be so and SO IT IS!

Practitioner Services Licensed Practitioners and Intern Practitioners are available for
prayer treatment consultation. A Practitioner is one who is trained
to do Spiritual Mind Treatment (prayer treatment) for clients.
The training of Practitioners is extensive, and is conducted over a
period of at least five years, including internship. Practitioners
and Intern Practitioners are governed by a Code of Ethics and are
under the supervision of the Pastor of the Church.
There is a fee charged for this service when performed by a
licensed Practitioner. Intern Practitioners do not charge a fee, as
this work is part of their professional training. Licensed Practi-
tioners charge a fee of $35 for a one-half hour treatment session.
Consult your individual practitioner for a fee schedule relative to
weekly or monthly sessions, or for house calls. It is important to
note that a Practitioner will never turn a client away because of
the client’s inability to pay the fee. In such a case, the
Practitioner will also treat the client to demonstrate abundance.
