Early Life Born in Atlanta, Georgia March 20, 1957 Real name is Shelton Jackson Lee He attended John Dewey High School He went to Morehouse College He made his first film while in college
called Last Hustle in Brooklyn He graduated from Morehouse College
with a B.A. in Mass Communication He then went to New York University’s
Tisch School of the Arts where he earned a Master of Fine Arts

religion or race wise.• In 1990 Lee was accused of antisemitism in his
movie Mo’ Better Blues. • He directed the movie Malcolm X which is a lot
about race and religion.• Lee has confronted director Clint Eastwood about
him not having any black Marines in any of Eastwood’s movies.
