After another great summer of fun with SPICE (dodging the showers) we look forward to more great events

during the autumn and winter months. Recently we’ve had some amazing feedback from those of you who

enjoyed loads of fun at the Fencing and Clay Pigeon Shooting. We even had members braving the

Wing-Walking!! Our regular monthly Club Night is a great place to chat about your SPICE experiences and

plan your next event, so if you haven’t yet been along to the Llandoger Trow why not head along and join

us there. Its more popular than ever with many members coming regularly.

New Events – Just Added

Fish Supper & Pub Quiz - BristolFriday 23rd November, 7.15pm

It’s Friday fish night and we’re off to The Hole in the Wall pub which specialises in

unpretentious pub-food that makes the most of fresh, quality produce. Tonight, we’ll

enjoy a main course of fish from the chef's selection of fish and seafood and a starter

or dessert. Whilst dining, we’ll be testing your knowledge on a variety of fun subjects

and objects to test your brain cells!

SPICE Goes To The Dogs - Swindon Friday 30th November, 6.30pm

If you have never been greyhound racing before, here is your chance to sample the

excitement of this fast, furious and fun sport at one of the foremost stadiums in the

country. It’s a while since we’ve run this event, but in the past it always proved to be a

popular, fun evening. Our excellent deal this evening includes entrance to the

stadium, race-card and a three course meal in the Abbey Restaurant.

Christmas Ramble & Lunch - DundrySunday 16th December, 10.30am

Today we are heading to Dundry just outside of Bristol. We’ll meet in the car park of

The Winford Arms and will then take a leisurely circular ramble (approx 5 miles)

enjoying the fresh air, the forest and the glorious Mendip Hills. After the walk we’ll

enjoy a delicious 2 course Sunday lunch at the pub. Book for either the walk + lunch or

just the walk if you would prefer.

Downhill Tubing - Christmas SpecialWednesday 21st November

The time of year has arrived once again when we take to

the ski slope at Gloucester and zoom down in a Tube. This

popular event is fantastic fun and we’re

returning for our 5th annual visit. We

begin with a hot drink & mince pies

before heading out for an hours fun

Tubing. After much merriment and

laughter we head inside for a hot

meal. Book now for this great event

Become A SPICE Walk LeaderWe’re currently looking for one or two members who

would be prepared to become SPICE Walk Leaders. If you

enjoy a good country ramble, can spare some time at the

weekend and would like to help, please contact Dianne so

she can let you know what’s involved. Walk routes are

supplied by the SPICE office, however you can also suggest

any that you’re already familiar with.
