CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN THE DATA CENTREWHY IT MATTERS

AS FAMILIAR NAMES disappear from the high street on a seemingly weekly basis, there can be little doubt that the business world is changing dramatically. Start-up companies in almost every industry sector are re-writing the rules, forcing the traditional, long-standing incumbents to adapt rapidly, or go under.

The hallmarks of this new breed of digital business are speed, agility, flexibility and scalability. Speed to market, the agility and flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer expectations, which often demands scalable infrastructure to best fit trading peaks and troughs. But, primarily, digital business is all about speed - providing what the customer wants, where, when and how they want it delivered, as quickly as possible. Underpinning this need for speed, agility, flexibility and scalability, is IT infrastructure, which is itself developing at a faster rate than ever before. Technology evolution has become technology revolution. Set against this background, modern businesses need to ensure that their IT infrastructure, and the data centre(s) in which it is housed, are continuously upgraded and optimised to provide them with the best possible chance of keeping pace with the demands of their customers. Technology refresh cycles are becoming much shorter (faster!), as new developments and ideas come online.

However, while almost every business understands the need to embark on this digital transformation journey, far fewer know have to be future-ready, let along future-proof, when it comes to embracing (or not) innovation.

SET AGAINST this rapidly changing, digital business landscape, Digitalisation World is organising the first in a series of events designed to educate busy IT and data centre professionals as to the threats and opportunities of the current key technology disruptors as they impact on the data centre. The primary objective is to cut through the hype and misinformation out there (5G being

a great example!), providing attendees with a realistic assessment of what’s going on now and, critically, what’s likely to happen in the future, and over what timescale:

Thanks to its substantial, well-researched delegate database, Change Management in the Data Centre

will deliver a large audience of senior data centre and IT professionals, attracted by the powerful, one-day conference programme, which delivers a compelling overview of the many technology developments and challenges facing the modern digital business, and also presents a set of technology ideas and solutions to help address these challenges.
