Today this journey finally ends, but Its not basically the end as I'll have so many more opportuinites coming my way.

This year the people I had to work with were total strangers but I am glad that by the end I was able to form a bond of friendship with them due to theirimmense support throughout our journey together.

Thank you Miss Sajida, your smiling face always motivated us to work in in this hot weather. As a rising senior at the University of South Carolina majoring in Global Supply Chain & Operations Management, the opportunities and experiences that the Nestlé Purina Supply Chain Internship afforded me were absolutely remarkable.

Purina places an extremely high value and belief into its internship program and the candidates in which they select. When I first arrived on Purina's campus, I was astonished by the close-knit culture and atmosphere that had been established at the headquarters of a Fortune 500 company. After all, no other Fortune 500 company allows their employees to bring their pets to workevery day!

As interns, we had the opportunity to visit Purina's largest manufacturing facility in Davenport, Iowa where we learned about the processes that we would be analyzing on a first-hand basis.

My responsibilities at Purina consisted of one individual and one group project. I worked to further develop a model which analyzed, quantified and communicated cost savings for both Purina and Purina's customers in order to advance customer relationships. The group projects consisted of collaboration between us interns to research and identify cutting-edge key performance indicators (KPIs). With the guidance from our mentors and outstanding help we received from everyone at Purina, both projects were extremely successful and implemented into normal business practice.

During the last week of our internship, we were provided the rewarding opportunity to present our achievements to senior level executives, as well asothers in the supply chain community, which was a great end to such a fulfilling summer.

PwC is definitely a great stepping stone to chart a career as it moulds us to be outstanding individuals of the future. Throughout my internship, I have gained great exposure and insight to the world of audit. I also learnt the importance to lead by example and have good relationships with clients as well as colleagues.
