What is soccer
Soccer is a game played with 8 or more players on a team. The players try to score on the opposing teams goal. A soccer game is played on a big field with one net on opposing sides.

There are 4 positions on a soccer field.

Purpose of goalie
The purpose of a soccer goalie is to block the soccer ball if tried to score a goal on your net.
Goalie advantages and where they are allowed
Goalies can only pick up the ball in a big box. A big advantage for the goalie is they can pick up the ball, punt it, and throw it in too!

Goalie gloves (optional) Cleats Shin-guards Socks (to cover shin-guards)
Fun factThere are a special type of gloves for goalies, but you have a choice of wearing them.
Why I like to play goalie
Why I like to play goalie is that I love being under pressure in sports and being able to pick up the ball, but I also like playing mid-field and defense.
