NORWAYExperience Norway’s breathtaking beauty and spectacular coastline. The fjords are not to be missed, whilst the capital city of Oslo offers Viking history and a vibrant arts scene including its famous Opera House architecture and the Vigeland Sculpture Park.

FINLANDIn a land of picturesque lakes and forests, pristine landscapes with strong traditions and a modern sense of style, there’s plenty to see and do. From the Gulf of Finland to the Arctic Circle - the home of Santa Claus! In the stylish capital Helsinki there is the chance to take in the harbour, taste local seafood or purchase some famous Marimekko wear.

HURTIGRUTEN (Boat)Discover the Norwegian coast on a spectacular voyage with Hurtigruten. Founded in 1893, it operates daily ship departures on Norway’s western and northern coasts between Bergen and Kirkenes, with a focus on natural beauty, local cuisine and quiet contemplation.

Day 1 - Friday 22nd November, 2019 (D) OSLOUpon arrival in to Oslo, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight we will enjoy a group dinner together, as well as meet the Tour Host and the local guide.

Day 2 - Saturday 23rd November, 2019 OSLOMeet your tour escort for a tour of Oslo’s city center (no entrance fees included). During the tour you will pass through some of Oslo’s most popular sights such as the Royal castle, the City hall, the Parliament building (Stortinget) etc. Continue with a visit to the famous Vigeland sculpture park - the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist. The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland’s lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron.

Day 3 - Sunday 24th November, 2019 (B, L, D) OSLO – BERGENThis morning begins early as you check out and transfer to the railway station to begin your first encounter with the majestic Norwegian fjords. The tour through the Sognefjord is a magnificent tour on the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow clad peaks, and a variety of wildlife. Start by train Oslo-Myrdal followed by an exhilarating ride on the amazing Flåm railway from Myrdal to Flåm. In Flåm, there is 1 hour for you to explore the Flåm railway Museum on own before taking the express boat from Flåm to Bergen – a peaceful tour on the Aurlandfjord and the Sognefjord. Arrive in Bergen in the evening and transfer to your hotel by private coach. Lunch and dinner box are included on this day.

Day 4 - Monday 25th November, 2019 BERGEN Today, join a walking tour of Bergen’s historic centre which will include the Fish and Flower Markets, Old Bryggen Harbour and ancient Maria Chruch. After a short drive there will be a stop at Troldhaugen, the home of Norway’s most famous composer Edvard Grieg. Troldhaugen consists of the Edvard Grieg Museum, Grieg’s Villa, the hut where he composed music and his gravesite. Return to Bergen with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5 - Tuesday 26th November, 2019 (B, D) BERGEN Free day in Bergen to explore the town further or catch a furnicular to the top of the mountain for some breathtaking views, lovely nature walks and animal spotting (optional tour). At 4pm this evening the group will transfer to the pier to board the famous Hurtigruten ship for the Norwegian coastal voyage. Enjoy the relaxed ambiance of life on board and the spectacular winter landscapes.

Day 6 - Wednesday 27th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: FLORO - MOLDE Ports visited today: Florø, Måløy, Torvik, Ålesund, Molde. Navigate through skerries and islands before reaching the town renowned for its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, Ålesund.Optional excursions:• 2C Art Nouveau Walk• 2D Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium and Mount Aksla


Day 7 - Thursday 28th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: KRISTIANSUND - RORVIK Ports visited today: Kristiansund, Trondheim, Rørvik. Trondheim was Norway’s first capital. The warehouses along the river built on wooden stilts are a colourful contrast to the pure white snow that usually covers the city during winter.Optional excursions:• 3B Trondheim with Nidaros Cathedral


Day 8 - Friday 29th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: BRONNOYSUND - SVOLVAER “ARCTIC CIRCLE” Ports visited today: Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen, Nesna, Ørnes, Bodø, Stamsund, Svolvær. Cross the Arctic Circle, and the hunt for the spectacular Arctic light begins. This occasion is marked with an Arctic Circle baptism on deck. Later enter the dramatic and narrow Raftsund.Optional excursions:• 4E Lofotr Viking Feast

Day 9 - Saturday 30th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: STOKMARKNES - SKJERVOY Ports visited today: Stokmarknes, Sortland, Risøyhamn, Harstad, Finnsnes, Tromsø, Skjervøy. After a morning stop in Finnsnes, continue to Tromsø. Sail along the coast with a chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Gather on deck for a glimpse of this breathtaking phenomenon.Optional excursions:• 5A The Arctic Capital Tromsø,• 5D Polar History Walk• 5E/5F Wilderness Adventure Camp


Day 10 - Sunday 1st December, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: OKSFJORD – BEVLEVAG Ports visited today: Øksfjord, Hammerfest, Havøysund, Honningsvåg, Kjøllefjord, Mehamn, Berlevåg. Honningsvåg is the nearest port to the North Cape. Pass a rock formation that is sacred to the Sámi people, Finnkirka, where we can enjoy a spectacular light display.Optional excursions:• 6A The North Cape,• 6D Snowmobile Trip in Lapland


Day 11 - Monday 2nd December, 2019 (B, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: “LAPLAND” BATSFJORD – KIRKENES – INARI – SAARISELKA Ports visited today: Båtsfjord, Vardø, Vadsø and Kirkenes. The vistas and sea life become more dramatic as you approach Kirkenes, just a few kilometers from the Russian border and the Sami communities of Northern Finland. On arrival at the pier in Kirkenes we disembark the ship and continue by private coach for a short drive through Kirkenes, before continuing to Inari. Enroute we stop at the SIIDA Sami Museum, before continuing on to Saariselka (a Ski Resort in the Mountains) for check in before dinner. Tonight enjoy the unique experience of the glass roof cabin.

Day 13 - Wednesday 4th December, 2019 (B, D) SAARISELKA – ROVANIEMI (SANTA VILLAGE)After breakfast depart to Santa Claus Village with some free time to experience this unique attraction, including the possibility of having a quick visit with Santa Claus himself! After, we transfer to Rovaniemi for dinner and our hotel.

Day 14 - Thursday 5th December, 2019 (B) ROVANIEMI This morning is free to explore the small city of Rovaniemi, or why not try an optional excursion? After lunch we will experience a thrilling reindeer safari into the deep forest. The reindeer sleigh ride is a very old way to travel in Lapland. We will also visit a reindeer farm where we will meet the herders and feed the reindeers their favourite snacks. We arrive back into Rovaniem at 5pm.Optional excursions:• Ice-fishing experience by car, including campfire lunch 3

Day 15 - Friday 6th December, 2019 (B,D) ROVANIEMI Today is yours to explore the small Lapland city of Rovaniemi. There are many fun, optional excursions to try as well. Tonight the group will travel to a logwood lodge in the middle of the snow covered wilderness to enjoy dinner and search for the Northern Lights. The lodge is surrounded by the beautiful rapids of River Raudanjoki. Candlelight, a fireplace, the silence of the Universe and a breathtaking starry sky are the elements to create this magical experience! Day 16 - Saturday 7th December, 2019 (B, D) ROVANIEMI – HELSINKI After an early breakfast, we will travel south by train, from Rovaniemi through the Finnish country side to Helsinki. Enjoy the views and relax on board before arriving in to Helsinki and walking to your hotel (which is located right near to the train station.) Tonight the group will enjoy a group dinner together.

Day 17 - Sunday 8th December, 2019 (B) HELSINKI This morning join a 3 hour orientation tour of Helsinki featuring the Senate Square, Uspenskij Cathedral and unique Rock Church. After the tour, return to your hotel and group transfer to the airport for your onward journey (most long haul flights depart Helsinki in the afternoon).




Norway’s reigning monarch, a seasoned sailor, lends his name to this remarkable vessel.MS Kong Harald was refurbished in 2016 and now features a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. On board are three different restaurants, the Multe bakery and ice cream bar, a sauna and fitness room. Out on deck you can enjoy the view from one of our two hot tubs. The vessel also has a large compass area were you find the reception, the Expedition Team, conference room and shop.
