Introduction
In this project, I shall be showing different animal
species-all unique and special in their own way. I
shall be focusing mainly on shells and crabs
which are normally found in the Mediterranean
sea.

Different types of mollusks: Univalves
This shell is called a
conch. It is a type of
mollusk – a univalve
mollusk. This means
that the shell is made
up of one piece.

Other types of univalve mollusks:
By looking at the first and second pictures, u will be able to see three examples of murex
trapa.Whilst in the third picture
there are four mollusks, which consist of: two
shells which are a type of whelk, a cowry and a
scotch bonnet.

Here, The first picture is
showing a scotch
bonnet. Whilst in the
second picture we have
an example of an
Abalone (or as
sometimes also referred
to as donkey’s ear).

In picture 1, we have an
example of a
wentletrap.
In picture 2 (in the
middle), there are two
augers.

Different types of mollusks : Bivalves
In picture 1, we can see two different shell halves. These are
called bivalves because the shell is
made up of two pieces.
In picture 2, there is a joined bivalve shell.

Snails
Obviously, snails are
also mollusks.
The first picture on the
right shows a common
sea snail.

Crabs
The crab, also known as the crustacean. On the

Crabs
Here are some crab body parts. The first picture shows two claws of different
stone crabs. Whilst in the second picture

Fish
Fish, on the other hand have nothing to do
with crabs and mollusks. They have scaly skins and a fin tail. These pictures show a four-toothed sparus and its teeth.

Lobsters
Like other sea creatures,
lobsters aren’t all the

different types.
This is an example of a
