Delhi-Agra drive 204 km – 4 hrs drive Morning pick-up from your Hotel in Delhi and drive to Agra. The drive will take about 3–3½ hours. On arrival check-in at hotel. Agra, the former capital of Hindustan is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. The golden age of the city began with the Mughals. It was known then as Akbarabad and remained the capital of the Mughal Empire under the Emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan later shifted his capital to Shahjahanad ( Delhi ) in the year 1649.

Later meet your guide and proceed to visit the Taj Mahal, (closed on Fridays) to view this incredible and extravagant monument built in the 17th

century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, it took 22 years and the labour of 20,000 men. The white marble for this perfectly proportioned building with its amazing delicate inlay work was transported to the site by elephants from a quarry 200 miles away. The most skilled architects, inlay craftsmen, calligraphers, stone-

carvers and masons came from all across Indian and lands as distant as Persia and Turkey. The master mason was from Baghdad, an expert in building the double dome from Persia, and an inlay specialist from Delhi. Yemen sent the gates, the corals came from Arabia, the garnets from Bundelkhand, onyx and amethyst from Persia. Mumtaz Mahal’s final resting-place was ornamented like a queen’s jewel-box. Return to your hotel for brief rest. Afternoon visit the Agra Fort that goes back more than 2500 years, it served as the seat of power during the period of Mughal domination and here you will see of the most outstanding examples of Mughal architecture. The fort is built alongside the Yamuna river and stretches almost 2.5 km. It consists of a wall built in red sandstone and several buildings inside, such as the many pillared Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience), the beautiful mosques (Nagina Masjid & Mina Masjid), palaces (Macchi Bhavan, Khas Mahal, Shish Mahal, Shah Jahani Mahal).



Overnight at the hotel. Day 2 Agra - Jaipur's drive 235 km - 05 & ½ hrs drive After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Jaipur Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Situated about 33 Kms from Agra, this was the erstwhile capital of the great Mughal ruler - Emperor Akbar. This magnificent fort palace had to be abandoned after just 15 years of occupation due to lack of potable water After your visit to Fatehpur Sikri, continue to Jaipur Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, was founded in 1727 AD by one of the greatest rulers of the Kachhawaha Dynasty - the astronomer King Sawai Jai Singh. It is the capital of the colourful state of Rajasthan and a jewel which forms one point of the golden triangle

Day 3 Jaipur After breakfast, check-out from hotel. Meet your guide and visit Amber, en route you will visit Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds which is actually little more than a façade. Probably, this honeycombed building was originally built to facilitate the women of the royal household to watch the everyday life and processions of the city. Also a photographic stop to capture Jal Mahal (an island palace that was used by the Maharajas of Bird shooting) at the back of your camera. You will be transferred up to the fortress palace on elephant back. Surrounded by fortified battlements, the fort overlooks the Moat Lake and it is a complex of courtyards and royal apartments. Once on top you can stroll through the sprawling complex and tour the

elaborately decorated halls, some with delightful fresco paintings, glass or inlaid precious stones. Two of the most outstanding are the Chamber of Mirrors (Sheesh Mahal) where the light from a single lamp, reflected in the many mirrors, illuminates the entire room and the Jas Mandir a glorious symphony of mosaics, cooled by delicate marble screens. After this visit, take a break from sightseeing and check-in at hotel Dera Mandawa. Afternoon continue with sightseeing of Jaipur City Palace complex. Jantar Mantar or the observatory built by

Sawai Jai Singh, one the largest and best preserved with collection of astronomical instruments chiselled out of stone. These structures with their striking combinations of geometric forms at large



scale, have captivated the attention of architects, artists, and art historians world wide, yet remain largely unknown to the general public. Next you will walk across for your visit of the most distinguished landmark of the 'pink city' , the City Palace Complex. The architecture of the City Palace is a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. There are many splendid small palaces and halls in the complex, such as the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and Badal Mahal. You will also visit the museum inside, named the City Palace which houses a collections of Mughal and Rajput miniature paintings, rare manuscripts, traditional clothing and an armory.

Rest of the day is free to enjoy the facilities at your hotel, else later in the evening visit to the local bazaars as a visit to Jaipur is not complete without this , where you find yourself completely enclosed by magical tints blended with exotic imageries once you step in ‘Tripolia Bazaar’. It is located between the Manak Chowk and Chhoti Chaupar where travelers forget to keep a track of time as they get clean bowled over the countless attractions of this bazaar. The Tripolia Bazaar has much offer to the women. You will

unintentionally become the wastrel as shops at Tripolia Bazaar display trinkets and other bric-a-brac of various sorts of splendid articles, it is also famous for variety of textiles, specially cottons & silks with traditional block prints an art form that has continued through generations and has acquired a special place in today’s fashion world. Day 4 Jaipur - Delhi drive 265 km - 05 & ½ hrs drive

Morning visit Birla Temple which is one of the most important tourist attractions in Jaipur. Known for its exquisite architecture, this temple is indeed a sight to marvel at and one of the major attractions of the Birla Temple is an idol of Lord Shiva carved in white marble. Come evening, you can be a part of the aarti ceremony (prayer ritual ceremony ) when the larger than life statues of Radha-Krishna, simply breath taking are dressed in beautiful costumes. Aarti time is simply spell binding and the

cleanliness in the temple reflects the godliness that pervades there. Start your 5–5 ½ hour drive to Delhi. Arrive at Delhi.
