Manned guarding or security patrols can be prohibitively expensive for an unoccupied building that is generating no income. Tag Guard’s award winning range of wireless security systems will provide a much more cost-effective solution. Requiring no cabling or power supplies, they are ideally suited to unoccupied buildings where the power may have been deactivated.

Derelict and unoccupied buildings are regularly targeted by thieves aiming to remove anything that might be of value. They are also highly vulnerable to arson attacks typically by youths with malicious or mischievous intent. This has led to rising insurance premiums and increased exposure to liability issues for the building owner. The economic climate also means that there are substantial numbers of vacant new or recently built offices and industrial units - with high asset values - that need to be protected. Tag Guard have a range of wireless security solutions specifically designed to warn off and deter intruders but that will also monitor their movements if they do enter the premises. If the intruder’s motive is arson, part of our wireless range includes fire alarms. The key difference is that all our installations can be backed up by our own 24-hour remote monitoring service which means we can react instantly to any incident, alerting key holders, the police or other emergency services.

Professional wireless security camera systemn 3G wireless communicationsn Fully expandable – multiple camerasn Quick and simple installationn Integrates with TagAlarm for enhanced securityn Wide range of monitoring options

Standard hard-wired security systems can become inoperative when a building is shut down as phone lines and electricity services are often disconnected. Our TagCam wireless security equipment has the same functionality as conventional CCTV but requires no phone lines and can operate entirely from battery power, providing practical and highly cost-effective security for vacant buildings.

TagCam images can be viewed on site or we can provide optional remote monitoring from our own 24-hour control room.

The complete wireless site security system n More flexible – and less expensive – than manned guardingn Effective protection against theft of internal machinery, plant, fixtures and fittings n Wireless security tags installed and easily repositioned n Integrates with TagCam to target activity “hotspots”n Monitored 24/7, 365 days a yearn System support can incorporate guard response to alarms

Significantly less costly than traditional static guards or mobile patrols, TagAlarm is a monitored wireless alarm security system operating entirely from battery power. Requiring no phone lines or electricity services it is especially suited to unoccupied buildings and is a more viable alternative to conventional hard-wired systems.

Unique Advantages Used together, the TagAlarm and TagCam systems can deliver unique advantages. In seconds, alarm activation directs the camera to the exact location where the activity is occurring (such as a break-in) and gives precise images. The alarm activity can also be dealt with simultaneously at Tag Guard’s own 24-hour monitoring centre with appropriate action taken such as alerting key holders or the police.

Fire Alert - advanced wireless fire detection and alarm systems

Complementing our security products is our new range of fire detection and alarm products, again ideally suited to vacant buildings because they are wireless, portable and fully monitored by our own remote monitoring station that operates 24/7, 365 days a year. The range comprises:

Break Glass - a battery powered break glass unit that will alarm when smashed / broken with options that include re-settable glass windows.

Terrier Klaxon - an integrated unit for mounting on a wall, it has a “break glass” unit to trigger a klaxon for a local alarm warning but it will also send an alarm signal to Tag Guard’s remote 24/7 monitoring centre so that appropriate action can be taken including alerting fire emergency services. Smoke Detectors - incorporating enhanced technology providing greater tolerance to dust and particle contamination. As with all high quality smoke detectors it responds effectively to carbon particles in the air. The IR detector unit is supplied as the standard model but options include an ionisation unit and a rapid heat-rise unit.

All Tag Guard Fire Alert products can be used in conjunction with a Base Station that has a Transmission Alarm Tag and a Mains Drive Unit programmed to receive this alarm. This device can be positioned remotely from the Base Station and can power “Master Blasters” to signal a fire at the building.

Why Wireless?Wireless security systems provide numerous advantages compared to conventional wired alarms and CCTV. The biggest single benefit is that the absence of cabling means that they are quick and easy to install resulting in considerable savings. And because our wireless alarms and cameras are not restricted by a fixed cable run they are completely portable – they don’t have to stay in one place and can be deployed exactly where you want them including locations where it would be impractical, too costly or simply impossible to run a cable.

With a traditional wired system, once the cable run has been laid the alarm or camera cannot be moved – criminals become aware of their position and coverage and areas of the building or site that are not monitored are still vulnerable.

The portability of a wireless system means that alarms and cameras can be moved to any location and of course can be reused on new sites delivering significant savings.
