Specialist Diploma in Digital Manufacturing (Earn and Learn Programme) • EGEP05

The technology landscape is rapidly changing, resulting in increasing digitalisation of manufacturing operations and a growing demand for industry professionals.

This course will help deepen your knowledge and skills for Industry 4.0 in areas such as data analytics and visualisation, industrial Internet-of-Things, product life cycle management, shop floor data acquisition and monitoring, process modelling and simulation, and smart systems.

Course Structure

Entry RequirementsFresh local polytechnic or ITE technical diploma graduates (Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident) from a relevant course within 36 months from their graduation or from their National Service ORD. In-employment local polytechnic or ITE technical diploma graduates (SC or PR) within three years (up to five years, or on a case-by-case basis) from their date of graduation or ORD. Only fresh polytechnic or ITE technical diploma graduates who graduated not more than three years from a related discipline, and NSmen applying within three years from ORD will receive the sign-on incentive.

You will be awarded the Specialist Diploma in Digital Manufacturing upon successful completion of one common Post-Diploma Certificate (PDC) and one elective PDC:

• Common: PDC in IoT Analytics & Visualisation (150 hours)This PDC consists of four modules where you will gain skills in analysing and visualising data generated from IoT systems, and learn how to develop analytics applications for processing IoT data

Select one of two elective PDCs:

• PDC in Process Digitalisation (150 Hours)This PDC consists of four modules where you will acquire knowledge in technologies used in digital manufacturing, product life cycle management systems and process simulation

• PDC in Smart Systems (150 hours)This PDC consists of four modules to help you develop skills in advanced PLC/PAC programming, industry networking and industrial systems data management

All PDCs include an on-the-job training module to enhance learning outcomes for ELP participants
