preFaceMULTINDO (PT. Multigraha Alumindo) is a specialist alumunium facade contractor. It was established in 1997, merging a group of partners who saw the huge prospect of specializing in aluminum facade work for high rise buildings, which was uncommon at that time. Significant investment were made and aluminum fabrication machineries were imported from Germany to ensure top notch workmanship.

In 2007, MULTINDO won the Thamrin Residence project, signifying a brighter turn after the country was hit by financial crisis almost a decade earlier. During the crisis period, many construction projects were put to a halt or even abandoned. Multitudes of construction companies closed their doors for good.

The Thamrin Residence project was just one of many superblock projects handled by MULTINDO during the past five years: Central Park, Ciputra World Jakarta, Ciputra World Surabaya and Grand Indonesia. It is in these projects that MULTINDO gets to strengthen

its design and fabrication expertise up to the point where the company is now a force to be reckoned with within the aluminum facade contractors’ database.

With MULTINDO’s experience that encompasses the construction of more than 100 high rise buildings during the past 14 years as well as the skills and experiences of its specialized aluminum staffs, MULTINDO looks forward to work together with architects and structural engineers building masterpieces with high complexity.

DESIGN & ENGINEERING

MULTINDO’s objective is to combine the architects’ aesthetic ambitions with the provision of the required architecture, and at the same time meeting all the technical requirements. For every project, the designers illustrate their proficiency and undertake the responsibility to ensure that all materials they specify meet both the economic and technical requirements.

MULTINDO’S objective is to provide every project the finest and most optimal Engineering Technology. Our design team is dedicated to create every assignment to the complete satisfaction of Engineers in Design, Safety and Durability. As the fist step to achieve this goal, we are doing Structural Calculation and assuring the adaptability of design for all projects.The vast knowledge of MULTINDO’s system development group is in the forefront of structural engineering.

FABRICATION AND TESTING

Before Fabrication process takes place in MULTINDO’s workshop, our experts and engineers are involved in the drawing preparation stage. Shop drawings and Fabrication drawings are produced to ensure that we meet the design intent from the architect and the technical requirement from the Facade consultant.

MULTINDO’S products have undergone vigorous testing. These tests guarantees our products against water leakage, wind load etc. Sequence of testing shall be in the sequence as listed below:

• Air Infiltration Test• Static Water Penetration Test• Dynamic Water Penetration Test• Structural Performance Test• Proof Test

INSTALLATION AND QUALITY CONTROL

MULTINDO uses highly experienced and qualified installation and service crews together with carefully monitored quality control systems to ensure the highest level of quality, time and cost reliability. This attention to detail and focus on maximizing off-site fabrication by design has gained the company the reputation for successful installations. productSSTICk SYSTEm CURTAIN WALL

Stick System is a flexible curtain wall construction method which is commonly used at present. It compromises off-the-shelf components assembled on site with individual mullions and transoms to frame the vision and/or spandrel panels. The main benefits of this system is strong adaptability on main structure since the installation sequence is not influenced by main structure and the lead times are short because of the system’s off-the shelf components.

Types:• Exposed frame curtain wall: components of the metal frame are visible on the exterior of the panel• Hidden frame curtain wall: components of the metal frame are completely invisible on the exterior of the panel

POINT FIxED GLASS WALL

Point fixed glass wall is a laminated and tempered or heat strengthened glass supported with proprietary hardware eliminating the visible metal framework of conventional systems. This system provides considerable freedom and aesthetic options within varying degrees of transparency, stiffness and cost. The variety of available support system includes tension cables, trusses and glasses mullions.

SkYLIGHT

It is an opening on the roof surface which can be made of stainless steel, aluminium or glass with a transparent or translucent material. It usually consists of a steel structure with aluminium cladding or steel structure with spider glazing or a as a combination of both. It gives aesthetic look to the building as architectural feature, through specifying both of the lighting control and shading strategy. For safety purpose, laminated glass or tempered glass are used. These glasses are more durable, weather resistant and minimises the risk of glass breakage.

ALUmINIUm CLADDING

Alumunium composite panel is compounded with top and bottom layers of aluminium sheet, anti-toxic polyethylene core material. Both surfaces are rolled and coated with special baking varnish. It is one of the most common façade material used in the construction due to its lightweight and flexibility in the surface finishes.

bathrooms, kitchen and balconies• Shop’s door decoration



ExTERNAL DOOR, WINDOW AND LOUvRE

Doors, window and louvre are important parts of building with the functions of enclosure, lighting ventilation and sound insulation. They represent the architect’s last touch to perfect a work.

Types:• Basic casement• Heavy duty casement• Heavy duty concealed opening casement • Heavy duty thermal break casement• Basic sliding window• Medium duty sliding window• Heavy duty sliding window• Heavy duty thermal break sliding window

SOLAR SHADING DEvICES

Solar shading products can make the indoor environment more comfortable and reduce cooling energy consumption. This requirement arises as the building design goes towards green building where energy efficiency is put into a major consideration.

Types:• Vertical shading: sun shades are arranged vertically

and can be adapted to ceramic frit-laminated glass, aluminium panels etc.

• Horizontal shading: sun shades are horizontally arranged and can be adapted to ceramic frit-laminated glass, aluminium panel etc.

CANOPY

Canopy creates an aesthetical difference in modern architecture as it is used at the entrance of the building or as a decorative feature in the roof. It consists of steel structure with aluminium cladding or steel structure with spider glazing or combination of both. The purpose of using canopy systems is to avoid the natural effect of the rain. Since canopy is used externally there is a requirement for the steel finish to be galvanised or hot deep galvanised.
