Freedom from Anger

Accuser of the Brethren

All humanity is a joint temple  So then you are no longer strangers

and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. Eph 2:19-22

Unforgiveness breaks unity of the temple.

Desecration of the Temple• Receiving the

Seed of Pride to be Judge.

• The Offender is the sacrifice instead of worship or sacrifice of cleansing been offered.

Desecration of the Temple

• We do not have clean hands and feet as we have defiled the temple of God and others’ temple with our judgments, reactions and behaviors.

• Instead of inward reflection, we focus on the outside causes and judgment.

• Bitter judgments block eyes from seeing self and the other person’s destiny, kingdom worth, and calling

• Bitter judgments sow:• Responsibilities of a

judge• Defilement• Illness• Condemnation• Generalized False

belief systems, Bitter Laws of Life, Bitter Expectancies.

• Bitter expectancies and false belief systems block the experience of God’s provision, God’s intervention and blessings to self and others.

• One sees their destiny, provisions, dreams and hopes cut short.

Bitterness corrupts prayer and it is no longer a sweet smelling incense unto God: Inner vows, selfish ambitions, self-directed intercession, soul-ish prayers (according to my will, binds the free will choice of the other person, ex: “make them repent”), “ordering God”

Veil is experience as it it’s not torn and the Ark (God) is hidden. There is grace as God will

always reach out but there is a separation

that is tangible to the bitter person

where they have a hard time

experiencing and enjoying the love of

God.

Ex: Elder son of the prodigal story.

Forgiveness is cleansing and reestablishing

your own Temple and the collective

Temple of God

Forgiveness is: Aphiemi = to send away, leave alone,

abandon, let alone, leave. To grant pardon for or remission of

an offense, offender, sin, etc; to absolve (to set free from an obligation, guilt, debt, penalty); to acquit; to cancel a debt; to cease resentment against.

The Brazen Altar Recognize power of the Blood and

burnt offering.1. Sacrificing the pain and cost of the pain. (count

Blessed are the humble. Bringing oneself of the pedestal of a judge knowing good and evil and standards of righteousness. Letting go of the pride of life, pride through knowledge.

Forgiveness = Humility, stunting the growth of the

seed of pride. Admitting that our set of law to determine

good or evil is limited. Limited knowledge (prone to assumptions), understanding and wisdom.

Admitting we have limited ability to be fair.

Though we have authority to pronounce guilt for offenses done to us, we can chose to delegate the role of a judge.

Sacrificing our right to and decide what is owed as we have limited sentencing options.

Admitting that we have limited ability to enforce the sentence.

Give back to Jesus’ His Role as Judge The Father judges no one, but has

given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. John 5:22.

"For the LORD is our judge; the LORD is our lawgiver; the LORD is our king; he will save us."

Isaiah 33:22 Humility in admitting that there is

nothing I can do make the pain go away. No amount of punishment, recompense can restore me except by God’s hand, my wound can be healed.

We can plead our case to the Judge.

Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Isaiah 1:18

If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God who give generously to all without finding fault. James 1:5

Trust that God will act, sacrifice our unbelief and fear that God will not act

on our behalf: For God will bring every act to

judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.

Eccl12:14 God’s restoration. And he stretched

it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. Mark 3:5

Myth/Lie God is a wuss (weak or ineffectual)

when it comes to judging and been fair. He is “always” merciful and let’s people off the hook.

God loves all and forgives all so they are going to get away with it.

Bible says: Because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Prov 3:12.

Bitter Root Judgment

Forgiveness = Mercy Letting go of Your Right to and decide

what is owed: sentencing, and letting God decided when, how and what. Releasing them to God’s discipline.

Releasing yourself from policing and enforcing the sentence.

Forgiveness DOES NOT mean letting go of the Platform to communicate and inform the other person of what hurts, what’s not acceptable, and what the boundaries are.

The Brazen Laver Is where the

priest washed their hands and feet.

The water and the mirror reflects their own image back to themselves

Reflect on self and our part in the conflict, our sin of defiling the temple of the other person, our own actions, behaviors in defense or retaliation.

Brazen Laver Blessed are they who mourn for they

shall be comforted. Matt 5:4. If we are humble, knowing that our

gifts, blessings and power comes from God, we are grateful and is mourned by our fallen state and the hurts we inflict on others.

The Golden Lampstand Matthew 6:22“The

Hammered in one single talent of gold (Ex 27:17, 24) and kept perpetually burning (Ex 27:20-1) = Having a constant Kingdom vision—what are God’s long term and short term purposes of unity, how does God see the person and situation.

Jesus prays for unity in John 17:11, 13-15. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one…My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity.

Submitting our bitter roots judgments that cuts unity and be open to see things, worth, goals and destiny as God see them. (self and others)

The Golden Lampstand Blessed are the meek(mild, patient,

long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth. Matt 5:5

Instead of passing judgments, one can choose the more difficult higher path of restraint and long suffering.

Myth If I make a choice to let go of

bitterness and I don’t feel it to be true than it’s not genuine and I am been a liar.

Body, spirit and soul. (Soul = emotions, mind and will. Will is set free by God to make decisions not bound by experiences, past, body, mind or emotions). We have free will to choose.

Table of Showbread 12 is also the number

for government and order. Recognizing God’s sovereignty. 12 bread for

Eating of the bread = communion = aligning self with God’s provision, presence, and sovereignty = submitting our bitter expectancies and false beliefs. Laws of Life

thirst for righteousness(uprightness and right standing with God) for they shall be filled. Matt 5:6

Instead of focusing on how your life has been violated/destiny cut short by the offender, one can focus on and agree with the righteousness promises of God, God’s overall sovereignty and one’s destiny set by God has not been deterred.

The Altar of Incense Placed before the veil, our

approach to God. (Lev 16:12-3). Censer full of

burning coal from the brazen altar in one hand and ignite it by sprinkling a sweet incense held in the other hand. A thick cloud of smoke arise and fills the room. Incense is made from beating the spices. Incense suppose to be a pleasing aroma to God and represents our intercession.

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 2 Cor 2:14-6

Power behind our prayers: (the 7th seal)

Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Rev 8:3-5

Not for Personal Use.  Do not make any incense with this

formula for yourselves; consider it holy to the LORD. 38 Whoever makes incense like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off from their people.” Ex 30: 37-8.

Do Not Defile the Altar There is a difference of what we

deem to be righteous and holy and God’s definition.

Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it. Ex 30:9

Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to his command.  So fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD…“This is what the LORD spoke of when he said: “‘Among those who approach me     I will be proved holy;

in the sight of all the people    I will be honored.’” Lev 10:1-3

Behold I have put My words in your mouth. Jeremiah 1:9

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Prov 18:21.

Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18

If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” John 20:23

The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Romans 8:26-27

The Altar of Incense Confess and renounce inner

vows. Pray with the help of Holy

Spirit. Intercede for self and others

with the emotions, thoughts, intentions as Christ would for His church, His bride.

Speak blessings over curses. Prophesy life, ‘flesh’ over dry bones, heart of David.

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 2 Cor 2:14-6

Altar of Incense Blessed are the merciful for they

shall obtain mercy. Matt 5:7

Torn Veil and Ark Exposed

Heart of God revealed to a fuller degree with our submission to Him. His presence is no longer hidden but can be fully manifest.

To you and others.

Veil and the Ark Blessed are the pure in heart for

they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right) for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:8-10.

What is spiritual warfare?

Based on what we have been discussing:Who is attacking? Who is the target? Who is the pawn? What is the goal?

Satan and his forces

Target is a human. Pawn is a human

Human to fight human. Human to fight self. Human to fight God. Relinquish

our destiny.

Spiritual warfare is not against flesh and blood, not about who is right and who is wrong but

is one of maintaining the sanctity of one’s temple, holy

and set aside for God. Kingdom Warfare is about

keeping unity in the temple, focusing on the well-being of

the kingdom.

Critical decision:

Is it more important that I’m right or is it more important that I have a right standing

before God?

He who has clean hands and a pure heart,Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehoodAnd has not sworn deceitfully.5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORDAnd righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face.

Ps 24:4-6

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.Matt 5:8

Exercise Pray-read John 17. (ie:… starting vs 2. as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to insert your (a) name as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that ____ may know You…I have manifested Your name to ____ whom you have given Me out of the world… etc)

Picture Adam and Eve in the garden. Can you pin point the moment the spiritual warfare started or was taking

place?

At the moment of temptation Spiritual warfare begins in the arena

of thoughts: Our interpretation and assessment about what is going on based on our limited knowledge/understanding of good and evil.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. 2 Cor 10: 4-5

Spiritual warfare aims to manipulate the free will choice of a person. At the point of decision making. The enemy may test how firm the will in that decision is.

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:7-10.

Satan a Deceiver He lied to Adam and Eve He was a murderer from the

beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44

No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Cor 11:14. (Convince us that his way of salvation – been angry and bitter -- is more effective than God’s.)

Satan the Accuser of the Brethren

And there was war in heaven:..the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him…a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev 12:7-12.

Temptation of Jesus If You are the Son of God, command

that these stones become bread. The attack:

1. Accuses us of not been who we say we are.

2. Accuses us of not having authority or power. Of been incapable.

Temptation of Jesus If You are the Son of God, throw

Yourself down for it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You….’

The attack:1. Why don’t you prove you are who you

say you are to God. 2. Implants possibility that God is a liar

and does not come through with His promises. In our case, “See God did not protect you like He says He would. You should be angry that Him.”

Temptation of Jesus All these things I will give You, if You

fall down and worship me. The attack:

1. Attack destiny. All this that God wants to give you, I can give it to right now.

2. Accuses God of been too slow, too demanding, etc. or that He doesn’t really want to give you good things.

Setting up defenses to protect self

Usually done through inner vows (deep convictions and decisions made when we are young) or through repeated use of a pattern

Sets us up for repeated cycles that multiples the problem.

“Protective” Inner Vows Decisions/Deep conviction of

needing to do something usually to protect oneself from future harm or to exert control over our lives.

Usually made subconsciously when we are still children. Ex: I’m never cry. I’m never be like mom or dad. I’ll never be left out again. I’ll never marry. I’ll never kids (like

that). I will never forgive myself or you.

No one is going to tell me what to do I will never trust a man(woman) again. I’ll never be vulnerable enough to get

hurt. (I’ll never let anyone get close to me.)

I’ll never to that again. I’ll never speak in public or sound

stupid. I’ll never trust God again. I’ll never discipline like my parents. I’ll be invisible so no one can blame me.

I’ll never make a mistake again. I’ll never be a disappointment. I’ll always be there for you. I’ll always

love you.

Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it. Deut 12:32.

'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord. But I tell you, do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:33-37

Spiritual Effects of Inner Vows

Because the vows are of the evil one, when we make the vows, we are giving the enemy the right to help us ‘keep’ it. But it gives him knowledge of what to use to trigger us so we can break it.

Vows are binding to our will so that it is not free to act differently.

When we do break the vow, the enemy prompts us to punish ourselves as every law comes with a penalty of breaking it which causes us to resolve to keep that vow with more strength and effort.

Win, Win situation for the enemy.

Some of the vows seem like good things. Ex: Father is abusive so the child vows to “never be like dad.” However, it is out of a self righteous judgment and rely on one’s own ability to accomplish something instead of allow God to guide and direct the path and behaviors. It may actually cause the person to be an overly lenient parent who cannot discipline his/her own child. Or grow up to be unable to confront people when needed.

The vows can be interpreted by the flesh in a different way then intended and used indiscriminately. (Like Dracula, who comes into the house b/c he was invited, he doesn’t care how it’s phrased just that it is phrased. Bulldogs ex.)

Ex: I vowed to not let anyone know who I like b/c of relentless teasing in 6th grade about a guy I didn’t even like. During all of high school and college I could not carry conversations with the person of interest even though I wanted to talk to them.

Practical Signs of Inner Vows Repeating scenarios and storyline in

your life. Inability to break a habit. (I’ll never

overeat.) Unexplainable guilt or guilt that is

out of proportion for an action. (Extreme uneasiness for been a few minutes late may be related to a vow of “I never want to be late.”)

Self hatred for a certain behavior. (“Why do I always forget things?” maybe related to a kid who used to cope by vowing to never remember the hurtful things.) (demo of inner fighting)

Practical Signs of Inner Vows

Extreme hatred and intolerance of certain behaviors in others can be a sign a vow of intolerance has been made against oneself.

Everything is out. I’m safe when I’m by myself. Nothing bad comes in. However nothing good gets it b/c it’s so rigid.

Restrictive, no room to live inside

Healthy Defense: Fence

Discernment: a fence with gates to let the good things in while keeping harm out.

Has living space inside to move around.

Myth/Lie God says to forgive, seventy-sevens times

= meekness forgiveness, mercy = just let people walk over you.

You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[h] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. Matt 5:38-42.

Truth If you look at the context of Matt 5,

Jesus was saying Sermon on the Mount: what something

appears to be is not what it actually is. What is on the inside is more important

than what is in the heart. Do the opposite. Love.

God is not saying don’t build a wall, let people walk over you.

It’s more important to preserve a right standing before God, let God be God.

Build boundaries not fortresses and restrictive walls of protection.

He says turn your "left" cheek. So if someone hits you an the right it would be an insult slap because they would be using their backhand as they used their right hand for this and their left hand for sanitary things. If they presented their "left" cheek then the aggressor would be in two minds whether to hit or not as it would become a forehand hit which would constitute an assault and they would get arrested for it, so Jesus is saying to the person "Now I'm in control" so really turn the other cheek is using a non violent way of getting the upper hand, it is not letting people walk over you at all. (interesting view point I found online.)

Obstacles to Building healthy boundaries in Nehemiah

Accuser is disturbed. (2:10, it grieved them –Sanballat and Tobiah– exceedingly)

Nehemiah ignored them, investigated the wall, gather others, shared the needs. (2:11-16) “I told them the hand of my God which was good upon me… rise up and build.. So they strengthen themselves. (2:17-8)

Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem laughed at us to scorn and despised us and said what is this thing that ye do? Will ye rebel against the king? (2:19) Nehemiah

answered them, “God of heaven will prosper us.” Don’t need your approval.

Consecrated wall, set apart for God.

Con’t side by side with others, each in front of his house.

Laugh, make you think you are doing something wrong or ridiculous

Despise, look down on you

Question the legitimacy of what you are doing

Question you authority, suggest that you are rebelling against authority—society, culture.

S. Indignant and mocked the Jews… spake before his brethren and the army Samaria, .. “What do these feeble Jews do? Will they fortify themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they make an end in a day, will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish..? T said, “Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. (4:1-3) Note brethren and Samarian army is

now in the mix.

Use anger to make you afraid and belittle you.

Mock you, accuse you of being too weak, old, young, ignorant.

Question if you can protect yourself, you’ll be overtaken by the smallest opposition.

Question your depth of commitment, that it was a rash decision.

Suggest that it’s too late to change because of your past.

Nehemiah just prayed and con’t.  "Hear, O our God; for we are

despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:  And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders. So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work"  (Nehemiah 4:4-6).

Note Nehemiah did not tell God what to do about the sin. Just reminded God of what they are doing.

S., T., the Arabians, and the Ammonites and the Ashdodites… all conspired to fight against Jerusalem and hinder it. (4:7-8) Nevertheless

we made our prayer unto our God and set a watch against them day and night.. (4:9).

Gathering of spiritual and earthly forces against you.

Attack is obvious.

Our adversaries said, “They shall not know, neither see, till wecome in the midst among them and slay them and cause the work to cease...the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you. (4:10-12)

Everyone in gear, weaponized

Be not ye afraid of them: Remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fright for your brethrens… 4:13-14

Cause division, fear and discouragement

Repeat same thing over and over

Come when your are tired, make you feel disabled.

Threaten sneak attacks, destructions.

Confronts them with truth when the issue was presented to him. No preemptive strike.

Accuses you of rebellion to the authorities over you to push you into making wrong decisions in retaliation.

They sent a false prophet to speak fear. (6:9-13)

Prayed that God take note of what they are doing. (God you be the supreme judge but I leave the punishment in Your judgment.)

My God, remember T and S, according to these their works and the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who would have made me afraid. (6:14)

Again uses fear to keep you from doing what God would have you do, even using ‘safe’ places and people.

Even confidants in church can give the wrong advice. “They are going to come get you.”

Signs of been a Victim of the Accuser of the Brethren= Victim Mocked, belittled,

over-looked, threatened.

Others question motives, commitment, decisions.

Effects of alliance with the Accuser

Constant barrage of accusations flooding your mind so that forgiveness is not possible.

B/c the voice of the Accuser has been granted residence in your head for so long, his voice sounds to you just like yours – familiarity = familiar spirit – making you believe that you are a horrible person for having those thoughts.

It can be possible that forgiveness is already granted and is genuine but b/c one’s mind is flooded with these thoughts that it appears that one has not forgiving. (Remember, enemy tries to get a listening ear.)

Antidote = Evict the Enemy by Renouncing the Alliance and Rebuking (telling it to

leave)• Renouncing is like tearing up a

contract. • Rebuking is the actual eviction

order. (Rebuking via self is like an eviction notice but rebuking via Christ’s name, blood or “Lord rebuke you” is like a court order. We can also send the marshals by asking for angels

Myth: I’ll use this protection until God shows up. A little protection

is better than none. “How can Satan cast

out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand…26 If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but [l

]he is finished! 27 But no one can enter the strong man’s house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house. Mark 3:23-7.

We cannot use Satan’s tactics and expect to win/to have godly results.

Myth: If I keep processing the pain, it will hurt less. (getting

use to it, practicing pain = desensitization.)

Prayer Connect with GodAbba, thank You that You are the just God. Holy, never changing, Defender of Righteousness, I ask you to take Your rightful place on the throne. I present myself to you. I confess that I have entered into an alliance with the Accuser of the Brethren. I have self-righteously judge people, myself and others with the accusations from the Accuser. (List some attributes of people that comes to mind. Attributes of self that you judged yourself with, Characteristics of God that you believe but is not

scriptural). Forgive me for inviting the accuser in with any of my actions and thoughts in the form of mocking, criticizing, belittling, threatening, and blaming others. For denying my own responsibilities and faults. For been unteachable. Forgive me for questioning others’ motives, commitment, decisions and prematurely or falsely accusing them. Forgive me for causing fear and division in others. Forgive me for gossiping and tearing down instead of building up reputations of people. Forgive me for disqualifying and discounting the gifts, destiny, calling, thoughts and ideas of others. Forgive for my offenses at those who do not fit my definition of social norms.

Abba forgive me for this unholy alliance that now seem to natural and part of me. It plays like a automatic tape recorder in my head and my ears. Forgive me for letting the enemy reside in my mind and my heart. I now break (clap) any contracts and agreement with the Accuser and renounce my need of this tape recorder. This negativity and preemptive strike does not provide me protection in a godly way. I ask for Your Holy judgment order to evict the Accuser and his forces from their residence in me. I say to them by the power of the Blood of Christ and testimony of my word that it is true that death has been overcome by the cross that “the Lord rebuke you, Satan”. (repeat as many

times as you want till you fill a release. Can also speak it directly over areas of the body that has been in bondage—ear gate, eye gate, mouth etc. Speak release to areas where your body feels tight.) Holy Spirit, come and sweep clean every place that has been vacated and release peace and Your residence. Holy Spirit what do you want me to know?
