Laylatul Qadr Special

Introduction: The days of Ramadhan are going very quickly. How beautiful are these days. We will not find any day better than these days. Nothing is more beautiful than these days. We can taste the delight of these days. Only 10 days of Ramadhan are left. These last 10 days are the last chance to get the blessings from Allah (SWT). These are the last 10km of the race. We don’t want to lose. The race in the Ramadhan is for the forgiveness of our sins and that did Allah made us among the Mutaqeen. This race is not about who will come first because its not about winning but its about who can make their sins forgiven by Allah. We can all be winners by making our sins forgiven and that Allah writes you among the Mutaqeen, this is true success. We are going towards the end of Ramadhan. This is farewell of Ramadhan and this is the best part of Ramadhan. The way of Prophet Nabi saleelaho alihi wasslam used to make so much efforts and he will do his best like he never did in any other month. He will do the best in the last ten nights of Ramadhan. We need to do our best of what we can do. Our messenger is our role model and we need to follow him. As long as we follow his footsteps we will be guided and

we will reach our goal. The last 10 nights are the golden opportunity to reach our goal.

The way of Salaf as salih The salaf as salih used to make so much effort and they increased their determination for these last ten nights. Some of the salaf who followed the prophet said they are divorcing their bed for these last ten nights of Ramadhan. They used to worship the whole night. We can catch up with our sleep but we can’t get this chance again to worship Allah in the best part of the year. We need to hasten and win the race. Hastening is disliked but in the matters of Deen it is favorable. Allah is the most rich but our choice is what we do we should not lose any chance to worship Allah. We have to be hasty now because we are at the end of the race.

The Quran says Allah says in ale Imran ayah 133:

You need to be hasty for the paradise that is prepared for those who have Taqwa. It is as wide as heavens and earth. May Allah forgive us and have a mercy on us and admit us to paradise. Aameen.

Tonight the last 10 nights of Ramadhan will start and we should know what we should do. There are some jobs that we should be doing:

Ø Being truthful ü Account yourself We need to be truthful with Allah Subhanhutaala. Don’t cheat or deceive yourself or Allah. We need to look at our self and account for our selves that how much did we do in the first 20 days. We need to be a judge against our self and we should tell our self that stop lying and deceiving and face the reality. We might never get this opportunity again. Now we need to be very firm with our self. We have golden opportunity in front of us. Even if we wasted all the 20 days then still we have 1/3rd of Ramadhan so we need to utilize. We cant imagine how much we can do in the last 10 days of ramadhan. ü Free yourself from chains and seek Allah’s pleasure.

We have to free our self from chains and we need to free our self from our short comings and we need to seek pleasure of Allah (Subhan hu talaa). We should seek the help of Allah in order to do everything. We need to all go towards the pleasure of Allah and no one can help us to attain the pleasure of Allah. Pleasure of Allah is better and higher than Paradise. You will not reach with your limbs but with your faith. The journey to Allah is not with your limbs but with your heart. How much does your heart love Allah and seek the pleasure of Allah. No one can help me other than Allah. We can have help only from Allah (Subhan hu taala).

Ø Make Istighfaar your companion Istighfaar has great impacts. When you ask forgiveness then Allah erases your sins and makes you do the best deeds. Our sins stop us from getting the benefit from our worship. Sins are like extra calories, which will make us heavy so it will prevent us from running and it will make us sleepy and lazy. We need to ask forgiveness from Allah. We will feel light and then we can easily run. When you are lazy to do good deeds then don’t blame anyone else just blame yourself and your sins. This will make you ask forgiveness more. Imagine the messengers and their duas. They always ask forgiveness.

Adam(AS) is asking forgiveness from Allah subhanhu taala. He admitted his sins and then asked Allah for forgiveness. Noah (AS) asked that if you didn’t forgive me then I would be among the losers. Moosa (AS) asked Allah I wronged myself so forgive me. Younus (AS) asked Allah (Subhanhutala) and notice that in all the duas they blamed themselves and asked Allah to forgive. So we need to make istaghfaar always and you will be able to do more ibadah. They were very humble so we should also admit our mistake and ask Allah forgiveness.

Ø Ask Allah for Pardon:

When we ask Allah to pardon us then Allah will over look our sins, erase all our sins and Allah will open a white page with us. He will erase the sins totally. One of the Names of Allah is al Afuw and He is the one who pardons and no one can pardon like Allah can do for us. No matter how many sins the person has done Allah can erase those sins. He is the only One who can pardon and no one else.

ü Allah loves when we pardon

Allah loves that His servants turn to Allah and that His slave turns to Him and ask Him forgiveness. If you want to feel bad then feel bad about yourself. Don’t think badly about anybody. When we think bad about ourselves then we will ask Allah for forgiveness. If we think well about ourselves then we will become proud and we will think we didn’t do any mistakes. We should think bad about ourselves and think good about Allah so that we can turn to Him. We need a heart, which goes to Allah. The race in Ramadhan is the race of the heart. Before we reach lailatul qadr we need to seek pardoning from Allah. Allah loves that you pardon each other and we should ask forgiveness from other people and pardon them for what they do to us. The more you pardon the people the more Allah will deal easily with you. We need to pardon others. Before you reach the last 10 nights you should have knowledge of Allah as the more you will know the more you will submit to Allah and attach yourself to Allah. So dear sisters no matter how much big sins you have done know that nothing is greater than the mercy of Allah. We should not feel sad and we should not have tension. We should feel happy that Allah loves pardoning and that He will pardon you. Sometimes a person had one small sin but he didn’t attach to Allah and another who did so many sins but attached to Allah so the second one is better than the first one.

Ø Don’t be proud of your self

A person might think that he reached his goal and he looks at his good deeds. We shouldn’t look at how much we did. We might think that we did the best of what we could do. We should always be humble. If we look at our good deeds then we will be deceived and we will become proud quickly. If we have pride then its like 0 km. Its like we didn’t move from our first position. Don’t compare with each other and don’t look how much you did. Allah is greater than the Ibadah you did. You will never be able to do sufficient Ibadah even if you worship Him all your life. Allah is telling us to do this Ibadah so that we are more humble to Allah and beg Him more. When you are worshipping Allah then focus at the greatness of Allah. When you imagine the greatness of Allah you will become very humble to Allah.

What did the Prophet do?

He used to wake up all night and wake his family also. He made the last ten nights like the day. Thirdly he used to make a lot of effort in worshipping. He used to do all this effort to seek one night. The whole preparation was for the laylatul qadr. All the efforts we are making is for one night of laylatul qadr.

We don’t know when is the night of decree. Nabi (SAW) knew but he forgot and this is a blessing from Allah so that we can worship all 10 nights of Ramadhan and earn great rewards. It is starting form today after Maghrib. Beautify yourself The Salaf as Salih used to beautify and adorn themselves for these last 10 nights. They used to have the best clothes for the last 10 nights of Ramadhan. We should beautify ourselves inside and outside. Women can put perfume in the house only. These last 10 nights are very special. This shows you that they were happy and this should be more beautiful than the day of Eid. We are going to meet the king of all kings and the one who is most special to us so we should do the best we can do.

What is Laylatul Qadr? The name is from decree and Allah favored this night over all other nights. Al Qadr is from status, position and honor. Allah will decree for the next 1 year. Allah will decree and He will be showing to the angels what He decided. He will write for one next year. This is why we ask Allah so much so that Allah gives us everything.

Nabi (SAW) said; whoever establishes the night of decree with faith then Allah will forgive all past sins. If someone who has menses then they can do anything other than prayers. Allah is so vast and we have so many opportunities that Allah has given us.

Allah revealed the Quran in this night.

This is what makes this night special. The start of the revelation of Quran was in laylatul Qadr. That’s why Allah chosed the month of Ramadhan to be the month of Quran. When Quran descended from the preserved tablet as a whole it was also in laylatul Qadr.

This is to show the importance of laylatul Qadr. Do you know the importance of this night?

If you do any deeds in laylatul qadr and you do Ibadah in this night, then it will be better than worshipping Allah for thousand months that is 83 years non-stop. Who can worship like that? Its impossible for us to worship Allah like that but this is mercy of Allah that He gave us this oppurunity.

All the angels and Jibreel (AS) descends with the permission of Allah (SWT). This is the night full of light because of the angels coming to this world. Jibreel doesn’t descend other than on prophets and on laylatul qadr. The earth will be completely filled with angels. There is no place left as the whole earth is crowded with angels.

We can do any type of Ibadah and we need to make a lot of duas

especially this duaa Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'annee . We should make this dua constantly. We should make duas till we reach eid. There are signs for laylatul qadr but it will come after. Don’t worry about the signs but just do your part. This is the last opportunity and may Allah make us among the devoted servants of Allah and may Allah make us make the most of it. We ask Allah with His beautiful Names. We ask to pardon
