I am responsible for completing the above course in sequence unless otherwise directed by the Special Education Department. Note: If you do not follow the provided sequence of courses, it may limit the availability of course selections in any term and prolong the completion of your degree.

I am aware that I must contact my Academic Advisor in order to register for SPE 592C (Practicum). I understand that I cannot start my student teaching without registering for this course.

____9. I will complete 100+ pre-clinical observation hours and submit the original documentation of these logged hours to the Advising Center prior to the start of student teaching.

____10. I understand that I must accept the placement and seminar assignment approved by the university. The university has sole responsibility for contacting schools.

____11. I agree to the release my NLU unofficial transcript if requested by the school(s) or district(s) considering my clinical placement.

____12. I understand that all students must pass the following ISBE exams to qualify for student teaching/practicum: LBS I (155) and General Curriculum (163) exams. The APT 188 (Pre K-12) exam does not have to be taken prior to student teaching. All of these must be taken and passed to also apply for licensure.
