Hardware Installation
Locate the AGP bus expansion slot on your systemmainboard and remove the cover if there is one.
If there is an existing VGA card, remove the oldcard by loosening the mounting bracket and pullingthe card off the slot.

Shut down the computer; unplug all the cables andelectrical cords; and remove the cover from thecomputer chassis.

CARD, AND WILL POSSIBLY DAMAGE THE CARD, AS THE PHOTO SHOWN BELOW.

If the heat dissipation device provided is a fan,
it is subject to damage if not properly handled.
It is important not to put pressure on the axle.
A shifted axle may shorten the fan's lifespan.
A Note for the Fan
Do not handle the fan by the axle.
Before Installing the Driver
The product package contains the Software Pack CD. Please read the Readme.txt
file for the latest information about the software before proceeding with the driver
installation.
Put the cover back on the computer. Plugthe cord into the matched connector of thegraphic card according to what kind ofmonitor you have.

To uninstall the NVIDIA Display Driver software, follow these steps:

completely uninstall the NVIDIA Display Driver software beforeinstalling a new version of the software.

As you logon to Windows, the system tells you there is a new hardware
found. Click on the balloon or wait for a few seconds.
Insert the software CD into your CD-ROM drive.
The dialog box appears. Tick

The dialog box with a list of graphics products appears. Select the model of
your purchase.
The system will then start searching for the software you specified.

After logging on Windows NT, the"Invalid Display Setting" applet willappear on your screen. It only appearswhen you use a display driver for the firsttime. You should then determine howyou want the display to appear bychoosing a resolution, color palette,refresh rate, etc. You can also use the"TEST" button to verify whether themonitor supports the specified resolutionand refresh rate.

you have two display devices connectedto your computer, the one(s) in use is insolid blue and white, and the unused oneis blurred. In the figure to the right,device 1 is in use, and device 2 is not.
To extend your desktop to a seconddevice, click the screen 2 Icon tohighlight it (Step 1). Then check thecheck box on the bottom (Step 2). Theresult will be as in the second figure.Screen 1 is the primary screen; and 2,the extended screen.

Resolution and color depth of yourdisplay can be set on the Settings panel(see Page 11). You can also extend your
screen to the second device and set itsresolution separatly using this panel.
Desktop Arrangement
You can move either screen icons freelyand arrange them in any fashion (see thesecond figure from the top).
In addition, the resolution of eitherscreen can be changed individually;simply click on one of the screens in thepreview window and drag the resolutionsliding knob to your desired resolution.

What is nView?
nView
nView
is a multi-display technologydeveloped by NVIDIA, which is built intothe latest GeForce series video cards.
supports a wide variety of multi-display modes, offering users maximumflexibility. It also allows you to setindependent resolution, color depth, andrefresh rate on a per display basis.
Standard (DualView)Allows only one screen to display theoutput video.
Horizontal SpanCheck to have the Windows desktop spanhorizontally across on two screens.
Under Windows ME/98, onlymode and
mode are available.Standard Clone
Vertical SpanCheck to have the Windows desktopspan vertically across on two screens.
CloneCheck to have the same images displayedon the two screens.
The option checked here determineshow the video is displayed on thescreen(s) using the nView technology.

Performance & Compatibility Options
This field offers options that change theperformance and the compatibility ofyour Direct3D games.
Mipmap detail level
A lower bias provides better imagequality; a higher bias increasesperformances of the applications. Youcan choose from five preset bias values.
PCI Texture Memory Size
Allows you to specify the maximum sizeof PCI texture heap. Increasing thisvalue on PCI systems with sufficientmemory may greatly improve theperformance of some Direct3Dapplications. For performance reasons,this utility does not allow you to set morethan half the available system memoryas reported by Windows.

Custom Direct3D settings
Allows you to save the current settingsas a custom "tweak". Saved settingswill be added to the adjacent list. Onceyou have found the optimal settings fora particular Direct3D before startingthe program and eliminates the needto set each option individually.

Default color depth for textures
This setting item allows you to selectthe default Color depth for textures.
Buffer flipping mode
Turns on page flipping for full-screenOpenGL applications which may improvetheir performance. If this is disabled,OpenGL will use a bit block transfer toflip from the back buffer to the front buffer.
Custom OpenGL settings
A list of the custom settings you havesaved. Selecting an item from the list willactivate the setting. To apply the setting,please choose the "OK" or "Apply" button.
Vertical Sync
Select the type of vertical synchrony.
Multi-Display HardwareAcceleration
This option determines advancedrendering options when using multipledisplays. The options include:
