PROGRAM OPTIONS

Group Classes. 4 lessons per day in class siz-

es of no more than 6 individuals. Average class

size ranges from 4-6 students. Students partici-

pate actively in a small group environment and

recieves personal attention to their individual ac-

ademic needs. If total immersion becomes a dif-

ficulty, we offer supplemental instruction in Eng-

lish once a week in order to clarify any doubts.

Private Classes. Subject to avail-

ability. Not usually available from De-

cember to January and May to August.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The school prides itself on placing students

with local host families. Staying with a family is

not only one of the best ways to learn about

Costa Rican customs, but your host family is

also a great bunch of people to practice your

Spanish with! Most students find time spent

with their host families one of the most valuable

components of their experience in Costa Rica.

Homestay. Homestays provide an economical

alternative to hotels. As breakfast, dinner, private

room and laundry service are all included. Prob-

ably the most valuable aspect of the homestay

experience, however, is the opportunity to re-ally get to know a Costa Rican family. Making

many new friends and experiencing first-hand

the famous Costa Rican warmth and hospitality!

is located right next to one of the most beauti-ful areas of Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio. This

location is only 15 minutes away by plane, or

3-4 hours by bus from San Jose. If there ever

was a tropical paradise, Manuel Antonio would

be it. Its sandy white beaches and high cliffs

are situated in a vibrant rain forest full of ex-

traordinary flora and fauna surrounded by an

endless blue sea. Manuel Antonio is home to

over 100 species of mammals and 184 spe-

cies of exotic birds. Marine life is abundant

in the park and the surrounding 12 islands.

Manuel Antonio is located 5 miles from

Quepos, a sleepy fishing town. Despite the

towns small size, you will find numerous bars,

restaurants, and shops. During your time study-ing at SA Manuel Antonio you will have the

chance to enjoy a variety of activities. Some

examples of these activities are horseback

riding, sport fishing, sampling the local cui-

sine, nights out at the discos, river rafting,

kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, or just sitting on

quiet beaches enjoying spectacular sunsets.
