•The average salary for a Marine Biologist can range from $26,388 - $100,126


EDUCATION NEEDED

• In high school; Biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, calculus is required. You will need at least a Bachelors degree, but a Masters course or even a Phd. is highly recommended as it will increase job opportunities.

Schooling is not the only requirement though, you usually need a lot of experience as well; volunteering or interning at relevant places greatly increase your chances; aquariums, marine labs or even natural history museums.


TYPICAL WORK WEEK• A typical work week

as a Marine Biologist could range from tagging animal samples for a lab experiment, to collecting underwater samples from marine life. Being a Marine Biologist gives you opportunities to work in a laboratory and research or go scuba diving for samples.


Level Of Spanish Needed

• We looked up levels of Spanish and we believe that a Marine Biologist would need to obtain a B2 Conversational II of Spanish level. Which is being independent and able to speak sentences well but not quite fluently.


Why we chose a Marine Biologist?

• -I agreed to do our project on a Marine Biologist because scuba diving and being able to explore the marine animals and oceans would be a fascinating job to learn about.

• I chose this job because I really love the ocean and animals. Learning about both just sounds perfect. I want to study ocean life and swim with marine mammals as well.
