Q. What showcase have your planned for Indiaplast 2019?

We will show new technology with our single-step, four-station machine. With this technology, we can reduce the cycle time between 20% - 30% along with better product quality specifications for certain range of containers and, in some cases, we can lower the weight of the products.

Q. How do you position your 1-step, 1.5-step and 2-step solutions to the market?

All three markets are divided for different product segments.

Machines made by ASB with single-step (ASB 150DPX) technology can go upto 20,000 BPH for small containers. Bottles made on single-stage are very unique in neck and shape, and most of the time it is impossible to produce the same with the two-stage technology. In case of single-stage, the bottles are made from PET resin directly without any manual handling, no scratch marks and the maker is sure of the resin quality used. Most of the time, bottle shape / neck is specific to the final product application. Preforms are tailor-designed to suit the bottle shape for optimum weight, fastest cycle time and best bottle quality specifications. Small size machine (ASB 50MB) is a good tool to start to evaluate the market for a new product with minimum capital investments.

Globally, ASB in the no. 1 company for single-stage technology. With single-stage technology, the overall power consumption is lower as preforms are directly blown without cooling to room temperature.

Most of the time, the two-stage is popular for high volume consumption like soft drinks, water market, edible oil etc. In most cases, the blowing line is inline with filling line. And, mostly standard generic necks and preform shapes are used.

ASB has developed 1.5-step technology which has the advantage of both, single-step and two-step. With 1.5-step technology, bottles are made from PET resin directly and without manual handling. Preforms are not cooled to room temperature to reduce power consumption. With this technology, stretch ratios can be achieved like two-step for better strength of the bottles. Production volume is between single-step and two-step rotary technologies. ASB has developed PF 36 machine which is ideal for water, juice and the edible market. This machine can produce bottles from 500 ml to 12 litre and production volume upto 18,000 BPH.

Q. How do you see the bottle moulding

machine market grow in 2019? Any special sector

you wish to focus on?In India, we see the water market growth rate is 20%+ and other markets follow the growth range from 7% - 10%. We see decent growth in liquor and FMCG market. With the plastic ban, we see that in some areas, the decision making is slower as regards expansion; in some other cases though, we do see growing potential for PET.

ASB will focus on single-step technology, mainly on cycle time reduction during the year.

Q. How has been the industry response to the triple blow moulding in one-step that ASB showcased at Chinaplas 2018?We had a very successful show and the product is well-accepted by customers, and have received a very positive response. We are confident of good business in the coming years.

At the forthcoming Indiaplast 2019, Rajoo Engineers Ltd. celebrates 32 years of its existence as established leaders in the field of

It is after a hiatus of nearly six years that a major plastics show is being held in North India and that too in National Capital Region in a state-of-the-art exhibition centre.
