Our universe

How old is the universe?Around 13.750.17 billion years old.Now that's what I call old!

How did the universe begin?Know one actually knows some people think that it was made by a big bang, some people think that god made the universe maybe some day we will know but I dont think that we will ever know.

The temperature of our universe?

Some of the experiments that scientists have done have shone what the temperature the think that it sits at about 2.7 Kelvin temperature.

Early astronomers.

What are light minutes and light hours?Have you ever herd of light years? And Im sure you Know what hours and minutes are so if you think about the are hours and minutes of space.

How did they study the stars before telescopes? They studied the wavelengths of the stars. its pretty cool isnt it.

What was the first telescope!

In the Netherlands, October 1608 they made the first telescope. Hans Leppershey was the maker of this telescope. Many other claimed they made the first telescope but where is the proof.

What are radio telescopes? Its sort of like a really big antenna that you can see really far into space with.

Tycho BraheName: Tycho BraheWhere he lived: Scania a part of DenmarkWhat did he discover: precise astronomical measurements of the solar system.

Her name: Maria MitchellWhere did she live: Nantucket, Massachusettshat did she discover: discovered a telescopic comet.

Maria Mitchell

12Stars!

What is a Star?A star is a massive luminous ball of plasma that is held together by gravity. Did you know that the sun is actually a star? The sun is the closest star to the earth. It may look big but there are other stars that are much bigger.

How dose a new star begin?New stars are formed from old stars witch have died or exploded have become star dust. Its pretty cool isnt it. How long would it take to get to the nearest star, the sun?Around about 198 years but no one really knows.

Do stars really twinkle and if so, how is caused? Not really, they just seem to because of the earths atmosphere . But it looks nice anyway.

What is the milky way?the milky way is the galaxy we live in there are supposedly many other galaxies as well. We live in the milky way!

What are shooting stars?A shooting star or falling star is name for the visible path of meteoroid as it enters the atmosphere to become a meteorite.

Interesting stuff to know!

A binary star!A binary star is a star system consisting of stars orbiting around their common centre of mass.Globular clusterIts a spherical collection of stars that orbits a galactic core as a satellite. A white dwarf!A white dwarf also called the degenerate dwarf is a small star made of mostly electron-degenerate matter. Neutron starA star that has collapsed under its own wait. Red giant Its a star that is In the last phase of its life.

nebularIt is a cloud of gas and space just. Some times they are were new star a being born.

SupernovaA supernova is the death of a star. Characterized by a output of energy!

Black holeA black hole is a region of space from witch nothing can escape. Pretty cool eh

Thats all I know about space Thank you Rhiannon Mendelson F12
