• Poet Laureate of India. He was born in 1878 and died in 1958.•Involved win the Indian independence struggle.•Wrote poems of patriotic fervor

He wrote:
It can be translated as follows:
“When we hear the name Bharatam, our hearts should be filled with pride,
When we hear the name Kerala, blood should surge in our veins with pride.”
Adya Kiranangal (First rays)• A 1964 movie, based on the malayalam novel written in the same title
by K. E. Mathai is famous for its song , “Bhaaratham ennal” penned by the epic song writer P. Bhaskaran.
• “Bhaaratham ennal” is the song that upholds the true spirit of our country.It asks us to defend our nation by remembering us what our country has done for us through ages.It was written as a film song, not as a poem.

•His songs were the highlights of the Indian independence Movement in Kerala •Born in 1896 in the small village of Amsi , Thengapattanam, Kanyakumari•Sri Amsi worked as sub editor of “Swaraj”,and later launched the “Mahatma “ weekly at Trivandrum.
The most famous lines written by him:
“ വര��വര��സഹപേ!ര സഹനസമാരസമായമാ�യ
�രള#റച്ചു#കൈ��ൾപേ��ർത്ത് ”��ൽനടയക്ക� പേ��ന��
Its translation is as follows:
“ Come all, let us march alongLet the world now hear our song,Hearts awake, hand-in hand.We march towards the free motherland”
