PLACES. THEY EAT SAMBAR DEER,WILD PIG,SEROW AND LARGE BOVIDS.

History

EARLY HISTORY

The history of the region follows from the

migration of Tai peoples. In the 13th century,

the Tai peoples constructed their first states in

the region, drawing together different tribal

communities under rulers claiming quasi-divine

authority and kingly status.

GOVERNMENTSoon after independence from France in

1953, the country fell into problems;

In 1975 the communist Pathet Lao got the power with help from North Vietnam.

Laos is one of the few remaining communist states. The economy is bad because they have poor roads, no railroad, and limited access to electricity.

It’s in Southeast Asia on the eastern edge of the peninsula, know as Indochina.

Vietnam is next to china, Laos and Colombia.

Vietnam is 30 miles wide.

The two largest rivers of Vietnam are; The Mekong and Red river.

Vietnam is a humid place called Deltas.

FLORA: Tropical forests covermost of Vietnam. The forestare very humid and have a large variety of species.

Vietnam has many differenthabitats ( mountains, forests, wetlands, a long coastline,… ) thatsupport a great variety of wildlife.

FAUNA: There are 270 types of mammals, ( 180 reptiles, 80 amphibians and 800 bird species ). Manyunusual animals livein Vietnam.

• Vietnam's first civilizations started 5,000 years ago. These northern tribes comtinued until 207 B.C. And then it name Nam Viet.

• In 111 B.C., Nam Viet became part of the Chinese empire, which ruled the north until 939 B.C.

• In 1802, , renamed thecountry Vietnam.

• In 1957, communist rebels in the south, rose up.
