Turn work, K8, turn work, P7, P2 together * and repeat between * to * until all the MC stitches have been worked on first triangle (8 stitches total).

Ribbing and Bind Off: Round 1: Knit 1 round with MC. Round 2: K1 with MC, K1 with CC around Rounds 3-6: Rib 1x1 with MC and CC: * K1 MC, P1 CC* Repeat between * to * around for a total of 5 rounds. Round 7: Knit 1 round with MC. Switch to larger needle and bind off with MC. Run in ends. Wash gently by hand as per Soak instructions and block accordingly.

Notes: If you are a more advanced knitter and know how to knit backwards, you can avoid the turns and where it says to purl, you would knit backwards. I found this evened out my tension and prevented the yarn from curling up on itself as much because I didn’t have to keep turning my work every few stitches.

For knitters who have just learned how to knit backwards, this is a great project for practicing this technique.
