Sports activities have become an integral part of the

school curriculum. A specially designed play area with

modern play equipments is also made available to all the

tiny tots. We give special emphasis on physical fitness and

health education. Trained professional personnel help the

students to acquire skills and techniques required for

various games and sports. They enjoy out-door games

like football, hockey, basketball, cricket, lawn tennis and

so on. We have made available the coaching facility for

indoor games like carom, chess and table tennis. They are

also trained in athletics, gymnastics and skating.

The school keeps its speciality in coaching Maharashtrian

Martial Art. The special training of it is being provided to

the students. We teach the ancient forms of martial arts

like Pole Gymnastics (Malakhamb), which is still quite

popular, Bamboo Staff fight (Silambam), Indian Sword

with Gauntlet called Dandpata, Sword Fighting, Fighting

with Staff (Lathi), Belt (Patta), Bana, Madu, Jambya,

Khanjeer (Types of daggers) etc. The Maratha's fighting

system called Mardani Khel (Male Sports) focuses on

weaponary which includes rapid movements and makes

use of armed combat like swords, tiger claws (bagh nakh),

Indian dagger called bichawa, vita. An important aim is to

spread awareness about the art to the masses. This is a

tiny step towards in a bid to preserve and promote the

vanishing Maharashtrian Martial Art.

Moreover, Music, Dance, Drama, Art and Craft, Flute,

Harmonium, Tabla, Drawing and Painting, Calligraphy

and so on are the part and parcel of our curriculum.

Sometimes disasters like earthquakes, floods, accidents

occur repeatedly with serious impact on all spheres of life.

Natural disasters are the manifestation of nature and they

can take place anywhere-anytime. Although natural

calamities cannot be averted but many suitable measures

can be taken. Quick and timely response is the essence in

providing immediate relief and rescue operations to save

human lives and mitigate miseries as early as possible.

Disaster management is a collective and co-ordinated

effort. A number of activities need to be undertaken in the

event of disaster. These include co-ordination, command

and control, rapid assessment of damage, restoration of

power, telephonic communication and surface transport,

deployment of search and rescue teams, medicals and

para-medical teams, arrangements for drinking water

and food material, setting up of temporary shelters,

sanitation and hygiene identification and earmarking of

resources, last but not the least, maintenance of law and

order is equally important. That is the reason why, we

provide systematic training of Disaster Management to

our students.

Furthermore, utmost emphasis is given to teach students

the importance of labour and hard work, the development

of their skills and productivity. Through a variety of

programmes, we try to give an exposure and hone their

skills on how to deal with social causes. We provide the

students the opportunities to learn Motor Mechanism,

Carpentry, Plumbing, Wiring & Fitting etc. It's a sort of

mini training in engineering skills.

Library plays a vital role in any school. It is an important

tool for comprehensive intellectual development of the

students, is well stocked with books on various subjects.

Our school library has been comprised into three levels:

Elementary, Junior & Senior. The library is designed

artistically to educate and stimulate the students' mind

knowing the fact that the library is treasure trove of books.

One can find the three levels of our school library consist

of meticulously selected books catering to the age group,

needs and taste of every students. All the levels of the

is maintained then there would not be any chaos anywhere. Discipline is the backbone of the national unity. Citizens of

operation.However, discipline does not mean strictly, the withdrawal of personal liberty and authority; on the other

hand it provides one with the guideline to use its freedom in a right manner. Discipline is important even in domestic

Discipline in schools may reduce the violence and vandalism and help the students to focus better on their studies and

Shree Shahu Shikshan Prasarak Seva Mandal established

in 1968 is a premium education institute located in Peth

Vadgaon (Dist-Kolhapur), which runs high quality

knowledge centers from pre-primary school and high

The foundation stone of these institutions was laid by

Hon'ble Mr. Vijaysinh Yadav Saheb who is the President of

the institution and Vice President Mrs. Vijayadevi Yadav

(Aaisaheb). Mr. Yadav Saheb believes that a strong
