• The Sooners also went from No. 5 to No. 3 in the team vault standings with a 49.420 score coupled with a No. 2 ranking on floor with a 49.430 average, up one spot from last week.

• Individually, OU continues to represent well in every ranking, including the all-around, with junior Taylor Spears at No. 3, senior Brie Olson at No. 5 and sophomore Erica Brewer at No. 13.

• Other Sooners in the top 10 include Spears at No. 1 on beam, freshman Haley Scaman at No. 3 on floor, Olson at No. 5 on bars, freshman Keeley Kmieciak at No. 8 on bars, sophomore Lauren Alexan-der at No. 8 on beam, Olson and Brewer tied for No. 9 on beam and Olson at No. 10 on floor.

FANTASTIC FRESHMENOklahoma’s freshmen have been put into key spots in the lineup on big stages and have risen to the occasion this season. • Haley Scaman is a five-time Big 12 weekly award winner and is the top-ranked freshman in the

country on floor and No. 3 overall. Scaman scored a 9.975 score at West Virginia, one of only nine gymnasts to earn such a score. Scaman has scored a 9.8 or better on 30 of 32 events this season. The freshman is also tied for No. 17 on vault nationally.

• Keeley Kmieciak has competed in the all-around in seven meets for the Sooners and is a three-time Big 12 weekly award winner. She has six individual titles this year, including two on bars, three on vault and one on floor. Against No. 5 UCLA, Kmieciak recorded a 39.650 all-around score, tied for the fifth best score in the nation this season and the best score of any freshman in the country.

• Maile’ana Kanewa returned from preseason wrist surgery to compete for the first time this season against No. 5 UCLA. On her first-career vault, Kanewa scored a 9.925, tying for the event title. She has since won two Big 12 Specialist of the Week awards and two vault titles.

ROAD TESTEDOklahoma comes into this week ranked No. 1 despite a road-heavy schedule this season. OU began the season with its first-ever win in Athens against Georgia in front of over 7,000 fans before earning its big-gest margin of victory in a dual meet in four years in a win over Arizona State in Tempe. The Sooners also have wins away from home against ranked opponents Georgia (twice), LSU, Oregon State, Boise State and West Virginia in addition to Western Michigan, William & Mary, Iowa State, BYUand TWU (twice).
