From the Pastor Stewardship by the Book Today’s reading from Revelation offers a vision of the City of God, the new Jerusalem. “But,” the bishops’ pastoral on stewardship reminds us, “that ’life to come’ is in continuity with this present life through the human goods, the worthy human purposes, which people foster now.” “Let US Pray” Capital Campaign Update To date 152 of 300 Commitment Card responses have been received. Pledges totaling $63,415.00 have been made and payments toward those pledges totals $31,008.14. The payments received have been deposited in the separate Faith In Our Future Account to insure that they do not become part of the parish general fund account used for parish operations. We are doing well with our campaign at this point. If we heard from the 151 remaining families of our parish and received $110.75 from each of them we would reach our goal of $80,000.00. Please keep in mind that no gift is too small as you consider what God is asking of you in this important “Let US Pray” capital campaign. Parish Pastoral Council Elections The results of last weeks Parish Pastoral Council elections have been tabulated and a hearty congratulations to three members of the Pastoral Council returning for a second term, Jason Pettit, Rudy Jaeger, and Bill Bendt. New to the Parish Pastoral Council is Jim Pellitier. Congratulations and thank you for your willingness to serve our parish community. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank outgoing Pastoral Council members Ann May and Dan Homuth for your willingness to serve the parish community...well done good and faithful servants.
