1. COMING AT YOU. With projector-beam headlamps and LED daytime running lamps set in a restyled front fascia, Sonic has an expressive new look for 2017.

CATCH YOUR EYE. The exterior has an entirely new expressive look with a richer, more detailed design that provides an even sportier attitude than before. From its trademark wheels-to-the-corners stance to the new-for-2017 details, Sonic is an athletic take on the fun-to-drive small car.

PREMIER RS. Premier Hatchback includes 17-in. Black-painted aluminum wheels and a Sport suspension. A stylish Sport rear spoiler and exhaust outlet are also included on Hatchback models.

RS PACKAGE. The RS Package — standard on both Hatchback models and available on LT Sedan — features a Sport body kit that includes Sport rocker mouldings, fog lamps and RS badging. LT models feature 16-in. aluminum wheels, and LT Sedan also includes a rear deck-lid spoiler.

SIMPLY UPSCALE. Here’s a spacious interior that goes beyond expectations. Sonic rewards you with standard heated front bucket seats, air conditioning with air filtration system, and a folding driver-seat armrest. Extras like these put Sonic in a class by itself.

OPEN UP THE HATCH FOR MORE. Sonic Hatchback offers seating for up to four of your favourite people, plus up to 538 L (19.0 cu. ft.) of cargo space1 behind the rear seat. With the split-folding rear seats folded down, Sonic Hatchback can provide up to 1351 L (47.7 cu. ft.) of flexible storage space.1

AMP IT UP WITH RS. The RS Package2 features a racing-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel that’s leather-wrapped with contrasting stitching, deluxe carpeted floor mats, and a Piano Black-accented instrument panel. Deluxe Cloth seating surfaces are included on LT models, while Premier is upgraded with leatherette front seats with RS lettering and sueded microfibre inserts.

Whether you’re on the road or in a parking lot, the available innovative active safety technologies in Sonic use strategically located cameras and sensors to help warn you of potential collisions.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT. This available feature continually monitors how close your vehicle is to the vehicle in front of you. If the system determines that a front-end collision with a detected vehicle is imminent, it alerts the driver to a potential crash. It also warns the driver if their Sonic is following a detected vehicle too closely.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING. If you unintentionally change lanes without using your turn signal, this available camera-based system sends an alert. The camera, mounted near the interior rear-view mirror, reads traffic lane markings when identifiable and provides audible and visual alerts.

REAR VISION CAMERA. When travelling in reverse at low speeds, the rear vision camera provides a real-time picture of the area immediately behind your Sonic on the 7-in. diagonal colour touch-screen display.

REAR PARK ASSIST. This available feature helps you back up by sounding an audible alert and providing visual indication on the rear vision camera display when it detects certain stationary objects in close proximity behind the vehicle.

STABILITRAK® ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL. On most road surfaces, StabiliTrak helps you stay on course by detecting the difference between the path being steered and the direction the vehicle is travelling.

AVAILABLE ONSTAR® AUTOMATIC CRASH RESPONSE.1 In a crash, built-in sensors can alert a specially trained OnStar advisor, who is connected into your Sonic to see if you need help — even if you can’t ask for it. Advisors can use GPS technology to pinpoint your location and request emergency help. OnStar2 Guidance Plan is standard for the first six months.

Safety starts with you. Safety features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner.
