If you prefer to solve your exam on paper …

For very good lighting with very few shadows:• Invert a beer box (or equivalent) and place it in front of an outdoor window or sliding glass door.

• Place your paper on top of it and take a photo directly above it.• Since most of the light is coming from the glass, your shadow (holding the phone) is not cast onto your paper.

A few days before your exam:• Take a sample photo at the same time of day.• Make sure that the paper in your photo is clear and easy to read.• Have your setup ready on the date of your exam.
